In the 20s, you were a face. And that was enough. In the 30s, you also had to be a voice. And your voice had to match your face, if you can imagine that.

One Like Leads To Another

Chitra, the singer, got her face by her voice.
Simran, the actress, got her voice by her face.
You got from my liking, both voice and face.
When you chat with me my mind makes all noise.

The Metaphor Of The Mirror And The Light

there is this face
in the mirror and it is talking to the body
to remind its skin
that it is real,

lights are turned off
and the face only hears a voice
from its mouth
it is assured still that it is a face
of someone it knew
so well
and will not deny it

the voice faded in darkness
and the face
hears nothing
and sees nothing about
its skin
and eyes

it is dark
and there is no voice anymore
except the
silence
and the loneliness that is about
to make a scream
to the mirror
that had long shut itself
because there is no light

the face demands a voice
the mirror begs for light
for the voice is a security
that life exists
and the light is the only
anchor of the mirror
when it becomes a boat
in the sea
of emptiness

but there is no light
and there is no voice
the mirror breaks the silence
the face becomes the wind
there is no boat
much less an anchor

there is only a word written
on paper
left on the floor
and it is spoken for no
one....

One Small Voice!

just one small voice
in a sea of voices,
all different languages,

male and female...
crying out against the roar:
WE WANT TO BE FREE!

one small voice,
a face soon forgotten,
but a body and a soul...

one small voice,
but now every voice counts,
we are together the voice

of humanity and hope...
WE WANT TO BE FREE!

I worked on my voice for Sweet Dreams, but only to match my speaking voice to Patsy's actual singing voice. That was my way into that character.

What Voice? ...

On this World Voice Day
It's a duty of us all
A pause for reflecting
Thanking the Creator
And all those who gave
And those who keep giving
Their voice for Love
For their wishes for Peace
And for the deepest Lament!
It's the voice of the Humanist
It's the voice of the Actor
It's the voice of the Poet
It's the voice of every Artist
It's the voice of the Scientist
The voice of the voiceless
And the voice of those able to voice it
Yet... they're deprived of doing so
And it doesn't reach us
As it would be fair, though!

My real face on the mirror.............

I look at my face in the mirror
I just wonder why Iam not yet free
while most just change their real character
why I should be the same letting others laugh at me

Wake up....a voice says deep in me
asking me to fly high and rule the whole earth and sea
Wake up.....a voice says deep in me
asking me to walk like, the king of the kings

I look at my face in the mirror
I just wonder why Iam left all alone in the sea
while most of them row their life boat so faster
why am not using the will power, what GOD Has given to me

Wake up....a voice says deep in me
you can win, just set your mind relaxed and free
Wake up....a voice says deep in me
just keep going kicking all the obstacles with your knee

Now I look at my face in the mirror
I can see some changes got into me
soon you can see me again in the life race
I will win for sure and will walk off, with all the grace

Got you...the mirror smiles at me
it says don't turn up, unless you get that victory
run run and run...it cheers me saying, am there with you
never stop unless many victories fall in a queue..............................

Gender Adds To The Voice

The feminine voice arouses me
As it is coming from a female.
Otherwise also I will like it
If I know it is from a female.
The feminine voice of boys
Fails to lure me, with maleness in mind.
Voice is sweet and gender specific.
I imagine the singer in her voice.
