Songwriter
Im a songwriter and I know just where I stand
Im a songwriter, pen and paper in my hand
Get the words on the page
Please dont call me a sage,
Im a songwriter
Im a songwriter and I do it for a living
Im a songwriter and I write about men and women
I can write about love and the stars up above
Im a songwriter
Im a songwriter and Im hot on your trail
Im a songwriter and my cheques in the mail
I can move with the scene, I can make up a dream
Im a songwriter
Na na na nana, na na na nana
Im a songwriter I can do it for certain
Im a songwriter even do it when Im hurtin
And if it comes to the bit, have to write another hit
Im a songwriter
Im a songwriter I can put it in words
Im a songwriter and its not for the birds
I can spin you a yarn, its as long as my arm
Im a songwriter
Na na na nana, na na na nana
Im a songwriter
Na na na nana, na na na nana
Im a songwriter

Starting Today
(words & music by robertson)
Starting today
Im teaching my heart
Not to ache anymore
Just cause were apart
No more will I dream
Of your sweet loving ways
Gonna learn to forget you
Starting today
And when memories haunt me
And the tears starts to flow
Ill just think of the sorrow
You caused me to know
No more for the past
To return will I pray
Gonna live for tomorrow
Starting today

For my Loved
Starting today,
I will write for you
I'll pray for you
I'll do that for your recovery
I'll manage to offer
everything for you
Starting today,
I'll care more about you
I'll ask all the angels
and saints to be with you
in all your sufferings
Starting today,
I'll tell them that
I care a lot about you
and I'm willing
to give-up everything
just for you, my dear
So starting today
be able to hold on to
that hope in your heart
and cling to whatever joy
you can have
Don't hesitate
I'm just here for you
for you are special
here in my heart

The business today is completely different and it's very producer driven, so that a songwriter needs to have producing chops, be a singer/songwriter, or find a singer to develop.

I hate you!
I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!
I hate the way you make me feel
I hate the things you say
I hate the way you think you have a right to hate me
And I’m starting to hate your face
I hate the way you make me cry
And I hate the words you say
I hate the way you push me
And I hate how you haven’t tried
I hate the way you make me feel
And I hate this pain
I hate the way you think of me
And I hate this stupid game

I just hate to be in one corner. I hate to be put as only a guitar player, or either only as a songwriter, or only as a tap dancer. I like to move around.

I have friends, African American actors, who've had more of a struggle; hopefully they're starting to see some air and light now. But in my directing career, in my acting career, in my producing career, I haven't been bound by a lot of limitations. When I first started doing these kinds of unique characters, these diverse characters, there was hardly anybody doing them. So I had this open road.

Mr. Songwriter
Hey mr. songwriter
Write a song today
Sing to my baby
Who is going away
She is leaving on the evening plane
To where i don't know
Give me a song so sad that
She won't want to go
Now i am a songwriter
And i heard what you said
I'm going to write a song for you
Although love is dead
I know just how you feel and
Still i have to say
That if it doesn't make her stop then
Then i just turn away
I write the words
Make her cry
Make her sigh
Melody to make her see
Tomorrow but tomorrow she'll be gone
Hey mr. songwriter
Tell me what to do
She's gone away and left me now
For somebody new
I thought i could change her mind
But maybe i was wrong
Hurry up and wet your pen
And please sir don't be long
I write the words
Make her cry
Make her sigh
Melody to make her see
Tomorrow but tomorrow was too late

I hate the way that i am judged
I hate the way that i am today
I hate the way that i make myself cry
I hate that no one even trys
I hate the fact that i cant keep you
I hate it till i cant hate anymore

I Hate...
I hate,
hate that I can't trust
I hate,
hate that I must lie because they'd rather believe I'm fine.
I hate,
hate who I've been.
I hate,
hate to make decisions.
I hate,
hate that I can't hate those I should.
I hate,
hate my life.
I hate,
hate that I can't die.
I hate,
hate to live in fear and hate.
I hate,
hate my uncertainty.
I hate,
hate the lies people tell me.
I hate,
hate that I believe.
I hate,
hate those that wish their lives were mine.
I hate,
hate all emotion that's mine.
I hate,
hate that I need others.
I hate,
hate my own d*mn incompetence.
I hate,
hate that there's so much to hate.

I Hate You.
I hate the way you dress
I hate that you are a mess
I hate your eyes
I hate your lies.
I hate it when you talk
I hate the way you walk
I hate your smile
I hate your style.
I hate your arms
I hate your charms
I hate your face
I hate your place.
I hate your hands
I hate your plans
I hate the way you think
I hate it when you drink.
I hate when you call
I hate it all
I hate it that you are true
I hate you when I’m blue.
I hate you when you sleep
I hate you very deep
I hate the way you kiss
I hate to be like this.
I hate your touch
I hate you much
I hate myself more
I hate that’s you I adore.
I hate, I don’t hate you a bit
I hate, I will have to admit
I don’t hate you, Not even small
I don’t hate you at all.

Your job is not your career
I responsible to my job, I fight for my career
I bound to job, I grow with career
Job is described, career is developed
Job is fulfilled, career is achieved
Job is for living, career is for life

I hate everything about you.
I hate those who lie
I hate you
I hate your lies.
I do not know you
I hate you
I hate everything about,
You
I hate that you say you,
Care but you don't.
I hate you.
I hate for using me
I hate everything you,
Said.
I hate your voice
I hate yor looks.
I hate you.
I hate when you're,
Mad and take it out,
On me.
I hate the way you,
Talk to me
I hate the way you,
Make me feel.
I hate you.
I hate you for lying
I hate how you say,
You love me.
I hate you for treating,
Me soo cold
I hate you for who you,
made me.
I hate you.
I hate that you fooled,
Me
I hate the way you,
Stay down low.
I hate the way you,
Made me feel
I hate that you hurt,
Me.
I hate you.
I hate you blamed it,
All on me
I hate everything you,
Do to me.
I hate you for all your lies,
And broken promises
I hate the way I met you.
I wish I never Did.
I hate you with all of my,
Being.
I HATE YOU.

I hate the Communists and have for many years and don't feel right about giving up my career to defend them. I will give up my film career if it is in the interests of defending something I believe in, but not this.

This Hate
I hate the word terrorist
I hate how it is used
I hate the war began by it
I hate the hate that ensues
I hate the politicians, who squander human lives
I hate the people
I hate the people who allow
I hate the people who ignore the truth
I hate myself who stands helpless, frustrated, and confused
I hate… hate
I hate the truth of today
I hate the horror of yesterday
I hate that I cannot forget
I hate the media who conform the masses
I hate the fear that leaves a repugnant odor
I hate those that use this fear to kill
All this hate I bear eats at me
This hate eats you
Hate will consume us, until all of humanity is lost
While I spin so does the world
While we die so does the world
While the world is at war
There will be no winner
There will be no victory
There will be no peace
Wake up……
WAKE up…….
WAKE UP………
So we can end this hate

The Hate That I Loved
I hate that you changed.
I hate that you’re the same.
I hate that you left.
I hate how you’ve stayed.
I hate how I cry.
I hate how you make me smile.
I hate how I miss you.
I hate how I feel.
I hate how it hurts.
I hate that it’s my fault.
I hate that it’s yours.
I hate that I can’t be around you.
I hate how I’ve lost you.
I hate how I’ve found out who you really are.
I hate that I can’t tell you any of this.
But most of all,
I hate how I can’t hate you,
Not even a little.
I hate how I still love you

Just Love Me
dont hate me for saying stop
but love me for knowing you would
dont hate me for talking about him
but love me for knowing i true to my word
dont hate me for getting mad
but love me for holding on
dont hate me for feeling weak
but love me and make me strong
dont hate me for screaming your name
but love me for remembering you
dont hate me for feeling to rushed
but love me for knowing what to do
dont hate me for beleiving in god
but love me for having pride
dont hate me because i love your smile
but love me because i look into your eyes
dont hate me because i feel i need you
but love me because i will admit
dont hate me for starting our fights
but love me because on you i will never quit
dont hate me because i assume things
but love me because i trust
dont hate me because i miss you
but love me for simple stuff
