Democracy
If a country’s majority of people are illiterate
Democracy will bear no sweet fruit
Whereas if a country’s most of the people are educated
Democracy will bring peace, harmony and prosperity.
Therefore governments ought to provide education to all citizens
In order to obtain good results of democracy
And if necessary they should go for free education
For the poor people irrespective of sex.
On the other hand education should be up to the mark
And moral education should also be provided
So that a corruption-free society can be established.
Thus democracy is able to set up a welfare state
With a minimum timeframe.

Let It Burn
Knowledge is key.
You can never know too much.
Open your books aim to the stars
Well i won't let them
Keep me from learning all i can.
Public schools just stand up.
The system feeds our minds.
Did the system tell you about democracy?
The same system that supported slavery?
And doesn't it seem strange that
When we try to make a change
To lock us up and throw away the key.
I won't let you
Play me for a fool
Set me free to go to church
But i cant pray in school.
Make a decision for yourself
Don't bother with any trends
Open up a book
And share the knowledge with your friends.
Did the system tell you about democracy?
The same system that created slavery?
And doesn't it seem strange that
When we try to make a change
To lock us up and throw away the key.

Concept differes
Rich advocate the democracy but concept differ
make life hell by adding poverty to suffer
Forget about education and nutrition
To drain out national wealth is only contribution
Why are we afraid of impartial judiciary?
Why immunity for big leaders is necessary?
Thousands take birth in slums and disappear
Why to take to affront when we are forced to bear?
Democracy is made laughing stock
Even illiterate occupy the seat and act as crook
There is no time with them for poverty alleviation
Their seat and perk remains main concern
See the rural areas and city suburban
They are hell but trying to prove as heaven
Lack of basic amenities and poverty around
Where would you try, see and feel proud
We are in materialistic world
It has grown many more folds
The crimes, unemployment and racial abuses on rise
The democracy may survive but surely facing the demise
Why are we hesitant to bring new order?
Why corruption and lies come under scanner?
Do they think democracy means banana republic?
Why wise and deserving seat behind and occupied by alcoholic?
Who cares for millions starving?
Who cares for youths well deserving?
Can any one come forward and takes us to safety?
Is it not the curse and undeserving pity?
Let whole system be overhauled?
Let there be no lacuna and severely holed?
It is time to hold the country together
Time is not far off when country may disintegrate and scatter

This country has always been run by elite, and it's an elitist democracy. And that's not a radical concept. It's elitist democracy. When people talk about democracy, they don't talk - really talk about participatory democracy, until the point that we get us at Election Day.

So Beautiful
I heard that you were home again, but you don't look like your back to me
Though your focus is changing your gaze is transfixed on the point that i cannot concieve
You've got your new ties, I've got my old lines, you've got your inside lines
But your never happy with what you've got
Careful Now
Your so beautiful
When you've convinced yourself
No one else is quite as beautiful
I heard that you were living well, but you don't look like your living to me
Though the sparkle is gone, the smile is in place so that everyone watching can see
You've got them all convinced but i know so well
You can list your friends but you can't count on them
Hold it now
You've got everyone convinced that your alright
No one else is quite as vulnerable
As soon as you got it you want something else
It's not the sale that you love its the sell
It's not the price that's going to cost you
It's just the weight that's going to bring you
Down, down, down, down
It's going to bring you down, down, down, down, down
Hold it now
You've got everyone convinced that your alright
No one else is quite as vulernable
Careful now
Your so beautiful when you've convinced yourself
No one else is quite as beautiful
As soon as you got it you want something else
It's not the sale that you love its the sell
It's not the price that's going to cost you
It's just the weight that's going to bring you
Down, down, down, down
You're so...
It's going to bring you down, down, down, down, down
As soon as you got it you want something else
It's not the sale that you love its the sell
It's not the price that's going to cost you
It's just the weight that's going to bring you
Down

What Democracy?
Is democracy a dream?
The human race aspires to
such things are seldom as they seem.
Although the people have a choice.
They seldom think their choices through
and so the wishes which they voice.
Can be ignored and flagrantly
by those who hold the power reins
which they acquired dishonestly.
The voting system is unfair.
Votes do not carry equal weight.
The major parties do not care.
They are content to wait their turn
To ride upon the gravy train
enjoying perks they do not earn.
If every vote was made to count
Then that would be democracy
Hold politicians to account
for promises they make then break.
Perhaps it’s time to rectify
the present system: Which would take.
a social revolution
to institute democracy.
Instead of the confusion.
The rule of many by the few
who claim they have the peoples vote
A statement patently untrue.
The vote I cast has no value
in this so called democracy
Its very sad but very true.

In democracy
In democracy
Writ of the peole runs.
In democracy
Repesentatives should not
Called leaders.
In democracy
Representatives must not
Act as er whim.
In democracy
Representative should not
Show dictatorial style.
In democracy
Representative should not have
Arrogance of power.
In democracy
Treachery and
Ruthless decisions
Not good.
In democracy
The representatives
Should be sensitives
Towards sensitive issues.

It is people
It is people’s victory
No one should feel sorry
It was writing on wall
Demand of the day and call
Mahatma Gandhi did it to gain freedom
Such movement was witnessed seldom
Today it is happening once again
Glory to motherland and power to regain
No bloodshed or single loss of life
Amidst uncertainty, with growing concern and strife
Whole country has witnessed a non violent struggle
With free will drive for looters, grabbers in populated jungle
Why country and poor can not be placed at top?
Why does our spirit and conscience not stop?
What is reason for putting country into shame?
Is the liberal democracy only causing to blame?
Politicians and bureaucrats have done immense damage
The country’s affair is in shamble and unable to manage
The precious national wealth is taken away from people
God only knows when we can do it or be able?
Even the mighty can be brought down to knee
This is movement for calling a country really free
The system is not used to the advantages for few
People are in street to compel the culprits review
Only one man has done the miracle
Whole of country is proud of and entered the circle
The time zeroed in and changes are offered
The conception may be odd but opinion never differed
The country has to be freed from the slavery
From the organized loot and corruption mystery
Who can lead the nation and bring the result?
The country has faced enough of it with insult
Mahatma faced bullet for telling truth
This lone man may loose battle and face the death
Yet whole country is behind mass movement
We can only offer tribute and no other comments

Fired My Rocket!
we 'discovered' this country
on the basis of murder and religion.
we built this country
on the backs of slaves.
we made this country prosperous
with the bodies of underpaid factory workers.
we spread democracy
with the sword of felony and greed.
we fed this country,
and foreclosed the farms of the farmers.
and you wonder
why we are where we are now!

Mother Of Democracy - Cory Aquino (English)
A Mother so True
A Mother of Virtue
A Mother of Country
A Mother of Democracy
One Simple Mother
A Memorable to one another
A Mother of one nation
That became world attraction
You’re fought for our Democracy
Will also be our fight for our Integrity
You’re Love for our Nation
Would pass to the next generation
We are so blessed with your humble presence
For Our Country you are our essence
For Your Dedication, Love and Duty
Unforgettable beloved Mother of Democracy!
So Thank you mum Cory Aquino
May you Rest in peace with Ninoy Aquino
Would give you Peace undoubtedly.
In the heavenly world of eternity
