Growing up in the Philippines, I loved all kinds of movies. We had a very healthy film industry there when I was a child. It's now gotten very limited. They only make action movies and hard-core exploitation movies. Women get raped; men get shot.

There are movies that require fantasy and slightly more fantastical acting. My cinematographic experience did not leave me any souvenirs, because I was only in very bad films that no one saw! It was better they didn't! In Europe, it is rare for women singers to be in movies. And then, may be that deep within me I didn't really wished to be in movies, for it is my belief that if I really wanted to, I'd be in the movies.
