A musician cannot move others unless he too is moved. He must of necessity feel all of the affects that he hopes to arouse in his audience, for the revealing of his own humour will stimulate a like humour in the listener.

Rumour
Just because
I love his
Sense of
Humour,
There is this
Rumour,
That I'm in
Love with him ;)
Just because
He's also in love
With my humour,
Someone's
Spreading
This roaring
Rumour…
That I've now
Married him ;)
Just because
We both love
Each other's
Humour :)
There seems to be
This ongoing rumour,
That I'm now
Honeymooning him ;)

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 69
The earth receives showers from heaven and gives to it only dust. Every vessel exudes what it contains.
If my humour appears to thee unbecoming
Lose not thy own good humour.
You Need Them
At a later stage of your life,
Keep your son in good humour;
Keep your daughter in good humour.
You need them and not they need you.

Keep Humour
Face the distress of modernity with humour,
And describe it to your professor.
He will help and his willing support
Has let you face the world that exists
With magnificence and beauty.
A beauty is inside the world
When it has been exercised by leaders
Who remake it, fashion it and never molest it.
Humour is the ability to stay where you are
And not involve yourself in politics.
Face the distress of modernity with humour,
And describe it to your professor.

So I wrote what I hoped would be science fiction, I was not at all sure if what I wrote would be acceptable even. But I don't say that I consciously wrote with humour. Humour is a part of you that comes out.

Laughter
Laughter is a unique quality endowed to mankind;
It is completely denied to the animal mind.
When humour is dwelt upon and reared,
There emanates laughter and is shared.
Roaring laughter is contagious,
And humour is surely infectious.
Laughter escalates hilarity and happiness,
And humour diminishes weariness.
One can laugh at a joke, ridiculous,
And can scoff at another one, meticulous.
One needs to be like a child, so jolly,
Egoless and innocent to laugh so merrily.
Laughter requires a bit of intelligence,
As well as presence of mind and good sense.
Benefits of laughter are numerous,
It bestows a wealth of health on us.
Laughter boosts the immunity system,
And lowers the stress hormone item.
With laughter the whole body is relaxed,
And gnawing pain for a time is axed.
Laughter prevents even the heart disease,
And a sorrowful mood is made to ease.
With a chuckle feel-good endorphins are released,
And with a peal of laughter one is pleased.
Laughter adds joy and zest to life,
And eases anxiety, fear and strife.
Laughter helps conflicts to diffuse,
And mirth in one it does suffuse.
Laughter is a resource for problem surmounting,
And has the power for good relationship enhancing.
Humour lightens one's burdens;
Inspires hope and the outlook broadens.
So let us enjoy humour and guffaw heartily,
And let us blend laughter into our lives verily.

Where In The World
Where in the world did you go?
Without a clue, without a word
What on earth did I do wrong?
You won't believe how much I hurt
I can't believe the mess we're in
My sense of humour wearing thin
Gets away with murder every day
Can't you hear me, won't you make it go away?
Enough to taste of bitterness
Hits me in the face, someone else's wish
Here I lay awake, alone
Just wishing you'd come home
You leave me desolate and torn
Go and fight in someone else's war
And so you put us both to shame
Don't come near me
Don't you make it go away
I can't believe the mess we're in
My sense of humour wearing thin
No ones getting younger anyway
Can't you hear me, won't you make it go away?
I can't believe the mess we're in
My sense of humour wearing thin
Gets away with murder every other day
Can you hear me, won't you make it go away?
Won't you make it go away?
Won't you make it go away?

Universal joke
You can’t get really near
the Beloved Friend
who some call God
without a sense of humour;
humour; and paradox:
sadness brings humility,
humility catches God’s ear…
now you’re laughing for sheer joy.
And have you heard this one…:
you can’t take anything from this world
without the world taking something from you…
isn’t that the best joke that ever was…?
Cows, who ruminate as well as Rumi ever did
Call it the Unified Field Theory.

Whatever It May Be that Affects
What,
Ever it may be that affects...
You have it in yourself,
To disconnect it.
Whatever it may be that affects,
You have it in yourself...
To disconnect it.
Whatever it may be that affects.
Whatever it may be that affects.
A loneliness you wish to rid!
Whatever it may be that affects.
Emotions breeding to feed on fears!
Whatever it may be that affects.
Whatever it may be that affects.
Heartbreak that can not escape the aching.
Let it go!
Don't let it upset.
You gave to it now from you erase it!
Whatever it may be that affects,
You have it in yourself...
To disconnect it.
Whatever it may be that affects.
Whatever it may be that affects.
Let it go!
Don't let it upset.
Whatever it may be that affects.
Let it go!
Don't let it upset.
Whatever it may be that affects.
Let it go!
Don't let it upset.
Whatever it may be that affects.
Whatever it may be that affects.

Carbon
As organs are built up on carbon
Organs are nothing but carban.
Humours are built up on sorrow.
Humour is nothing but sorrow.
Sorrow is wood, that humour burns.
After a glow, the wood turns ash.

Ch 03 On The Excellence Of Contentment Story 13
A dervish wanted something and a man told him that a certain individual possessed untold wealth who, if he were made aware of his want, would not consider it proper to fail in supplying it forthwith. The dervish answering that he had no acquaintance with him, the man proposed to show him the house and when the dervish entered he caught sight of a person with hanging lips and sitting morosely. He returned immediately and being asked what he had done replied: ‘I excused him from making me a present when I saw his face.’
Carry not thy necessity to a sour-faced fellow
Because his ill-humour will crush thy hopes.
If thou confidest thy heart’s grief, tell it to one
Whose face will comfort thee like ready cash.

Over all, I think the main thing a musician would like to do is give a picture to the listener of the many wonderful things that he knows of and senses in the universe... That’s what I would like to do. I think that’s one of the greatest things you can do in life and we all try to do it in some way. The musician’s is through his music.

Early Works - Reader and Listener
A circle of faces
smiles and frowns
ears listening
to the readers words
the rhythm of the voice
as it rise and falls
in mellow tones
a snigger, a laugh
as humour surfaces
over some joke
whom the reader has missed
slowly the story ends
a silence reins
its sad ending
has stunned them all
reader and listener.

Memory Bag
I sit in silence with my own blank thoughts
Bored out of my mind my imagination rots
I turned to music, television, the books on my shelf
I gave up, looked up and said to God, 'Humour Me'
The sky grew darker as i waited to see,
A bag of memories forgotten, dropped on me
The past, the good things and the bad,
all the wonderful laughs that i had
Going through the memory bag kept me occupied
more than television, music, or books on shelves
God looked down on me and said, 'Humour yourself'

To The Right Hon. The Earl of Orrery, On His Promise To Sup With The Author.
Tho' the Muse had deny'd me so often before,
I ventur'd this Day to invoke her once more.
She ask'd what I wanted; I said, with Delight,
Your Lordship had promis'd to sup here To--night;
That on an Occasion so much to my Honour,
I hop'd she'd excuse me for calling upon her.
To this she reply'd, with Disdain in her Looks:
If that be the Case, go summon your Cooks.
I told her in Answer, How little you eat;
That in vain I should hope to regale you with Meat;
That she knew, Wit and Humour to you were a Feast,
Who had, tho' no Stomach, an excellent Taste.
This calm'd her Resentment; she paus'd for a while--
Then the Goddess, propitious, reply'd with a Smile:
If with Humour and Wit you would have him delighted.
What need I be call'd?--Let the Dean be invited.
The Bus'ness is done, if with him you prevail;
For a Boyle, and a Swift, will each other regale.

Illusion Of A Poet!
I cherish music
But can't play a tune
I love songs
But can't even sing
I know
I can't be a musician
But my heart is full
With saccharine melodies
Life for me
Is sort of a lullaby
that flows in variables
From ballad to acoustic
Or country beats to modern
Whatever kind it may be
My existence is a composition
From which derive innate melody
Music is an expression
Contains ardent sentiments
That decipher the mysteries
In songs played in the heart
The love, hate or ennui
Stimulate the emotions
Enthused influx of inspirations
Stimulate life's meaning
I can not feel life
as a poet
If the music dies

Funnyman in the Morning
As the dew settled
And I lay reaped with sadness
After another lousy day of distressed spiralling
And burst hopes;
I settlerd in my vile bed,
Then deciding to raise my weary head,
I remoted the TV.
A fellow of comedic standing
Was delivering dirty jokes
Hidden between the lines
Like Swift or Milton or Shakespeare,
Who all fell into hefty humour
When it came to the jokes
About VD, farting or holding a poop,
Uncontrollably.
My mood quickly abridged,
And, sitting up, I smiled
For the first time in weeks;
I was laughing well enough
As I wondered why the formerly suppressed,
The Hebrews, Blacks, the Native Americans
Were so damned funny,
While listening to this African-American,
His audience bending over in an almost hurtful
Embrace of delight.
By the time he had finished and the theater went dim,
Twilight was evolving out mt windows.
This day
This day
I will not hate or sob anymore.
