The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

No Congress ever has seen fit to amend the Constitution to address any issue related to marriage. No Constitutional Amendment was needed to ban polygamy or bigamy, nor was a Constitutional Amendment needed to set a uniform age of majority to ban child marriages.

When they took the 4th Amendment, I was quiet because I didn't deal drugs. When they took the 6th Amendment, I was quiet because I am innocent. When they took the 2nd Amendment, I was quiet because I don't own a gun. Now they have taken the 1st Amendment, and I can only be quiet.

I liked the name of the amendment. I couldn't help feeling uneasy that the church was opposing something with a name as beautiful as the Equal Rights Amendment.

When I began we did not really have a lot of First Amendment law. It is really surprising to think of it this way, but a lot of the law - most of the law that relates to the First Amendment freedom of the press in America - is really within living memory.

The First Amendment is not an altar on which we must sacrifice our children, families, and community standards. Obscene material that is not protected by the First Amendment can and must be prohibited.

It just seems to be a human trait to want to protect the speech of people with whom we agree. For the First Amendment, that is not good enough. So it is really important that we protect First Amendment rights of people no matter what side of the line they are on.

Beauty, Beauty
Beauty, beauty in the light. Beauty, Beauty falling through. How sweet must beauty, beauty be. Beauty, beauty how it's happy. Beauty, beauty in the sky and in the grass. Beauty, beauty in the trees. Beauty, beauty on the ground. Beauty, beauty crawling on the ground. Beauty, beauty always climbing. Beauty, beauty that we are sirrounded by.

Chameleons
We are all chameleons
We change our faces
As needed.
We change our thoughts
As needed.
We change our actions
As needed.
We change our values
As needed.
We change our principles
As needed.
We change our morals
As needed.
We change our love
As needed.
And our vows to God
As needed.
How sad
Poor Chameleons!

The Beauty Of A Poem
The beauty of a poem
The beauty of music
The beauty of light
The beauty of life
The beauty which makes us want to live life more
The beauty which pains us inside
The beauty in longing.
The beauty we come upon by surprise
The beauty of the day and the beauty of the night
The beauty we all have inside us
The beauty we can see and feel and never explain
The beauty that lifts us up
The beauty that makes us want to live more
The beauty that makes us reach out to God
The beauty we want to thank God for
The beauty of lilacs
The beauty of autumn leaves
The beauty of the people we love
The beauty that pervades life
The beauty that turns away from us
And will not let us be a part of it
The beauty we hold on to fragilely
As a driven leaf
The beauty the beauty the beauty
Oh life oh God of goodness oh death
The beauty we can never see
And the Beauty within us all
Oh God
The Beauty in us and Beyond us all.

On Playing With Sand
Yesterday,
An amendment was made,
Men and women danced,
Goblets stroke in the hall,
To celebrate
An occasion of success.
Today,
The same amendment
Has been undone,
Men and women have danced,
Goblets have stroke in the hall,
To celebrate
An occasion of success.
Tomorrow,
Again the amendment will be made,
Men and women will dance,
Goblets will strike in the hall,
To celebrate
An occasion of success.
This is how our government goes on,
By doing and undoing amendments,
Like children who play on sand,
Make houses, stupas, towers and tombs,
And smash them with kicks,
To make them afresh,
But the difference is they do not celebrate,
An occasion of success.

Nice to be needed
It’s a requirement of life
That one must be needed
To be of use… or to be misused
Or at the least to be heeded
To serve some purpose
To fill some need
It’s the reason for our being
It’s a basic part of our creed
We must participate in life
We must contribute and strive
For if we’re not needed
Then Why should we survive?
Give of yourself,
be worthy of measure
That some worthy cause
Will provide all with pleasure
Obligate yourself to …
the welfare of others
Treat everyone
As sisters and brothers
Your life will become
As a garden well seeded
With the essence of life…
the beauty of being needed

What's In Your Heart
True beauty is in the way she laughs
True beauty is in her eyes
True beauty is how she acts
True beauty is inside
True beauty is unseen
True beauty is only felt
True beauty is not mean
True beauty is herself
True beauty can't be cruel
True beauty is bare
True beauty lies within you
True beauty is always there
True Beauty can't be covered with makeup
True beauty means true love
True beauty can't be baked up
True beauty is the flight of a dove
True beauty has no flaws
For True beauty is all that matters after all

Spill
Push holes in the plastic
Immaculate dolls in the hands of a child with a ratchet
Two fingers too out of control
The confusion shall leave us to vultures and preachers
I hate it...
Can't take it...
I can't believe it
Why don't you see it?
I can't believe it
Chew me up when needed
Turn over another day older
Another day nearer to jumping on over
Bloodsuckers and lover that leave you
And tease you and cheat you, deceive you I see through
I hate it...
Don't want it...
I can't believe it
Why don't you see it?
I can't believe it
Chew me up when needed
I can't believe it
Why don't you see it?
I can't believe it
Chew me up when needed
I'll say what I wanna say
I'll say what I wanna say
I can't believe it
Why don't you see it?
I can't believe it
Chew me up when needed
I can't believe it
Why don't you see it?
I can't believe it
Chew me up when needed
I can't believe it
Why don't you see it?
I can't believe it
Chew me up when needed
I can't believe it
Why don't you see it?
I can't believe it
Chew me up when needed...

God is beauty
The beauty of a lady
Spreading love on Internet
The beauty of the first kiss
On the corner of a dark room
The beauty of a crow
Pecking the food into grasses
The beauty of the skins
The beauty of the smile
Of a pretty girl
The beauty of the morning light
The beauty of a queer feeling
Under the shadow of a tree
The beauty of the sparrows
Bathing in the pond
The beauty of the unknowns
The beauty of forgiveness
The beauty of solitude
At a goodbye party
The beauty of a sinking heart
Driving on a steep road
The beauty of a lady
Walking alone
In the park
The beauty of the laughter of a child
The beauty of being loved
The beauty of the pat unexpected
On our shoulder
Saying I am here beside you
The beauty of making love
Early in the morning!
The beauty of the beauty
The beauty of God
The beauty of Jesus
The beauty of Zoroaster
The beauty of Buddha
The beauty of myths
The beauty of goddess
The beauty of you and I!

Beautiful One
Oh beautiful one, adorned with spell
To ravage my world as might a sweet angel.
Oh beautiful thing, so much at ease:
Allure of caressing breeze in touch gentle.
Oh beautiful creature, sail me do,
As floating on seas of halcyon blue tincture.
You beautiful being, gracing charm
And features that render feel of deep texture.
Your beautiful poise in glide supreme,
Gives such like a vista honed as from heaven.
That beautiful art of face ornate,
Not ever to understate or be riven.
Your beautiful flame of pulchritude
Doth dizzy me high, so I conclude always
You beautiful girl forever be
My shining Janette; my guide; my stairway.

Beauty is a Million Colors
Beauty is more than appearance
Beauty is love
The graceful wings of a dove
The endless imagination in a dream
Beauty is not always something that can be seen
Beauty is laughter
And the remembrance after
Beauty is hope
When you have no reason to
Beauty is he and she and me and you
Beauty is forgiving
No matter how hard
Beauty is kindness
Making the best of a mess
Beauty is tears
And overcoming your fears
Beauty is individuality
The courage to be yourself
Beauty is a book, sitting on a shelf
To define beauty,
An impossible task
Because truly,
Does anyone really know, I ask
Beauty is different to me
Than to you
I wonder if anyone ever knew

If I Ever Needed Someone
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
To see me through the daytime
And through the long lonely night
To lead me through the darkness
And on into the light
To stand with me when Im troubled
And help me through my strife
When times get so uncertain to turn to
To you in my young life
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
Someone to hold onto
And keep me from all fear
Someone to be my guiding light
And keep me ever dear
To keep me from my selfishness
To keep me from my sorrow
To lead me on to givingness
So I can see a new tomorrow
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
Someone to walk with
Someone to hold by the hand
Someone to talk with
Someone to understand
To call on when I need you
And I need you very much
To open up my arms to you
And feel your tender touch
To feel it and to keep it
Just right here in my soul
And care for it and keep it with me
Never to grow old
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
Lord if I ever needed someone I need you
Etc.

Beauty, Beautious, Beautiful
Beauty is not a superficial form
Each has their own in essential nature
And in the actions they perform
Until the dissolution of their life
To leave beauty’s impressions in our hearts
Yesterdays beauty never leaves or departs.
Beauty is all around
Each and every place it may be found
As you look with open eyes
Upon the forms that nature makes
Then man seeks to imitate
Yearning to match that beauty all around.
Beauty if you cannot find
Beauty must be in mind
Beauty is in purity
Beauty of simplicity
Beauty runs right through and through
Beauty in me, and them, and you.
Beauty, beauteous, beautiful
Beauty in heaven
Beauty in fire
Beauty in earth
And finally beauty in a simple verse.

Beauty is
The beauty beheld is alive.
Beauty hiding is of the soul.
Beauty freed is love.
Beauty seen is beauty in control.
Beauty is the passion of the heart.
Beauty causes order divine.
Beauty is seen in all the great.
Beauty is the lure of nature's design.
