The Steps to Folly as well as Sin are gradual, and almost imperceptible, and when we are once on the Decline, we go down without taking notice on't.

Dusky
the gradual decline
of desire within
your soul's
twilight
then it will be dark
it is then
when you can see

the expertise of
your eyes

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When this started to happen
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
I just let it begin
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The change in anythin'
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When we stopped talkin'
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
We weren't letting each other in
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
That sad, sad trend
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The beginning of the end
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
You were no longer my friend
But believe me, now I notice
And it hurts deep within
Now that I notice
I hope you'll be again

I've Come to Notice More Now
I've come to notice more now,
The falling snow.
I've come to notice more now,
A certain purpose...
I had disavowed.
I've come to notice more now,
The core of my being with more meaning.
A joy I can express...
With less emphasis on things collected.
And a happiness I always had,
But somehow did not allow.
I've come to notice more now,
I can.
I've come to notice more now,
I will!
I've come to notice more now,
My needs are basically fulfilled.
Without desire to seek approval,
Sought to identify my peace of mind!
I've come to notice more now,
Thoughts like that I have left behind.
And notice, I do...
My blessings!

Confused
A girl at 15 sits in her room and begins to write in her journal.
I just started to notice certain people in a romantic way.
I notice their scent as they walk by.
I remember the sound of their laugh.
I notice ever muscle tone in their body.
And I daydream about their lips kissing mine and taking my breath away.
But I’m confused because those who I have romantic feeling about are the same sex as me
Will you notice?
Will You notice when I'm gone?
Will you no when the phone just rings out?
Your sure to have no doubt.
Will you just think I'm sleeping?
Or in another mood.
Will you prejudge me again?
I'm guessing you'll just think.
I'm not near the brink.
But let me tell you this.
You are wrong plain wrong.
Death is taking my hand.
My life I am about to take.
But I only wonder this
Will you even notice I've gone.
But some how I doubt you'll care.
You allways made me feel small.
You never notticed my dipair.
But you'll have to notice my suicide

A new anew
Time passes effortlessly
A breeze in the wind we notice not
And before we comprehend its intricate nature
The breeze dies down and we notice
To let the folly outweigh
We strive to forget that gentle wind
And it seems aged bones is the plunder
That gentle wind I notice now
But it is not for us to counter
For time would count against always
But rather feel the breeze, embrace its prescence
Acknowledge the limits of cell division
For then we would be forever in comfort
Not facing the wind but
Following it to the ends of comprehension
Only then would time be on our side.....

Two Steps
Two steps together
Our Myths says
Brings two souls together
Two steps together
Is the surround of
One’s life to another
Two steps together
Can bring the long path
Seeming so far away
To so close that
One can feel the step’s beat
In his own heart.
Two steps together
But,
Will life be just the path of two steps only?
Anyhow, any steps walking is incomplete
If it is not done in two steps
All begins by just two steps together….

The Winner
If I listen to you then Im a winner,
If I take you at your word every day.
Theres nothing that can harm me Im a winner
All the way,
If I take notice of what the words tell me,
Its not too long before Im caught out in the
Rain
Youre the only one who can take me back again.
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up - with you
Im a winner
Here I am Im a winner
See my world turned it upside down,
Maybe know that Im nothing without you.
Got a brand new style of living with a
Motivation,
When I know my way losing my direction.
Thats when I get hurt with no one else to
Blame
Youre the only one who can heal me taking me
Back again.
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up here I am a
Winner
Here I am Im a winner.
If I listen to you then Im a winner,
If I take you at your word every day.
Theres nothing that can harm me Im a
Winner all the way,
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up.
You keep taking me back, making me one
With you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.

The Great Houdini
All dressed up
And nowhere to go
I think I'm taking this trip alone
Thirty seconds till I pass
The questions you will never ask
Your regrets will haunt you
You know I never had to
But I'm saving myself from you
And did you notice anything?
The change is me
Now it's safe to say
You will change your ways
I went to your house
But you weren't home
I'm sure you conveniently shut off your phone
I don't think that I'll ever be
The person that you want of me
When all that I can think about
It's you I have to figure out
But I'm saving myself from you
And did you notice anything
The change is me
Now it's safe to say
You will never change your ways
You would give up anything
To prove your point
There's nothing left to say
You will never change your ways
I'm saving myself from you
Yeah I'm saving myself from you
All dressed up
And nowhere to go
I think I'm taking this trip alone
Did you notice anything?
That changes me?
Now it's safe to say
You will never change your ways
You would give up anything
To prove your point
There's nothing left to say
You will never change your ways

Risks
In the taking of risks,
One makes the decision...
To boldly take those steps,
With a fear inside that may be felt...
Although from outer appearances,
That fear one knows may not be shown.
And if not for the taking of risks,
Advancements enjoyed might not be known.
Leaving those who began alone,
In the taking of them...
Seldom bestowed the credit for those risks taken.
Or share in the getting of those benefits given.

Regret for Peony Flowers
Melancholy steps before red peonies
Evening come only be two branches remain
Bright morning wind start cope blow exhaust
Night regret decline red hold fire look
I'm saddened by the peonies before the steps, so red,
As evening came I found that only two remained.
Once morning's winds have blown, they surely won't survive,
At night I gaze by lamplight, to cherish the fading red.
Life is a series of steps. Things are done gradually. Once in a while there is a giant step, but most of the time we are taking small, seemingly insignificant steps on the stairway of life.

A Step
There are these steps
which rule my life;
I look behind
and see them:
pathways I've taken,
impressions here and there
from the baby ones
to my teens
all there in the sand
trailing behind me.
I've stepped up to challenges;
my first apartment
my first home
career and children
all steps along my way;
I see the future ones
arrayed in front of me
marker points to strive for.
Sadly too
I have known
the 12 steps
of sister who
needed these.
I have known the 12 pillars of light;
stairways to heaven;
the two-step dancing
and step-ford wives.
I've looked behind
and at times,
there was only one set of tracks;
my walking alone.
There have been big steps
and little steps
none greater than
the one
I took
stepping up to you
who awaited me
at the stair case height
taking my arm
to ascend
to the preacher standing there-
the biggest,
happiest,
most wonderfullest
step
I have ever taken
in my life.
Thanks Dear
for walking with me
for all these years.

Who Are You?
Who are you?
Taking time,
To read between my lines.
With a hope to uncover,
Some depth there to find.
Who are you?
Taking interest,
When little has been expressed before.
And stirring up my curiosity,
With a wish to know you more.
Who are you?
Keeping discreet and behind the scenes.
Creating your own mysteriousness...
Since you know I will notice.
Because of a certain 'sensitivity'.
Who are you?
Making attempts,
To get my attention like this.
Hmmm?

Baby Steps
Baby steps
It happens little
by little.
A little girl
taking steps,
unsteady at first until,
stepping a little farther
into the future every day.
A young woman
walks across the stage
in her graduation gown.
I remember that little girl.
Dancing The Tango
i give the initial steps forward and then
you compliment them with some steps backward
and with my left hand on your waist
putting even a slight pressure there
you notice the understandable push and you know
exactly where next to go
without me telling you
even in a whisper
we look up high in the ceiling with dignity
as i carry you
to the places that i want to go
my right hand holds yours
and sometimes i give the signals for the slowing of our steps
as though we are casually walking in the park
the audience look at us
amazed by the grace and
passion in our eyes...
very well like marriage, i said to myself
the fingers speak
the eyes understand
the body moves towards a common direction
the mouth simply listens

What is at a peak is certain to decline. He who shows his hand will surely be defeated. He who can prevail in battle by taking advantage of his enemy's doubts is invincible.
