As far as being in the spotlight and under public scrutiny, a lot of that's about how much you put yourself out there. Peter Pan Persona
We all want to be
younger than what we are.
Some do it in different ways.

My Well-wisher
I am that hope you see
I am that hearty laugh that we share
I am that happiness and glee
that can diffuse our despair.
Reflection-
this reflection
talks to me and you
it says ‘Yes I am you
and you are I,
we two are the apple of His eye.
I talk back ‘Elegant is your persona’-
in reply it says ‘Elegant is our persona,
together, we are perfect
in isolation we are forsaken
together, a larger than life image we project
in isolation we are shaken.’
It urges me to mimic its essence;
to put on the expression of its face-
it is my well-wisher and my quintessence
which alleviates scars of disgrace.
It urges me to make a difference
leading to perceptual clarity,
it adds that multifaceted dimension
and then I and my reflection are in parity.

As far as the lack of hits goes, I think perhaps it's because I've played a lot of different roles and have not created a persona that the public can latch on to. I have played everything from psychopathic killers to romantic leading men, and in picking such diverse roles I have avoided typecasting.

Don't try to be somebody you're not because it doesn't work. If you try to be this perfect person or perfect persona of what you think that somebody should be when they're involved in public office, it's just not going to work.
