The work of the political activist inevitably involves a certain tension between the requirement that position be taken on current issues as they arise and the desire that one's contributions will somehow survive the ravages of time.

Some Say My Contributions Are Political
Some say my contributions are political.
With a point of view that is fixed.
But who is living to exist without religion,
Or politics?
And who believes there is an escape from this?
My writings are all about relationships.
Not one is disconnected from it.
Some may choose from their point of view,
To see a separateness.
But from where I sit,
If you are living you pay taxes...
All of it goes to the government.
And the only thing that is 'free'
Are delusions.
And even those have proven to be costly.
With some political attachment no one can deny!
Some say my contributions are political.
And I say to them...
'The point that you are making is...'what'?
And who lives not to make endorsements...
Of some kind! '

Political realism is aware of the moral significance of political action. It is also aware of the ineluctable tension between the moral command and the requirements of successful political action. And it is
unwilling to gloss over and obliterate that tension and thus to obfuscate both the moral and the political issue by making it appear as though the stark facts of politics were morally more satisfying than they actually are, and the moral law less exacting than it actually is.

My great desire has been to remove from the political arena a question of this kind that is calculated to prevent us getting a verdict upon the important political issues that separate the two parties in this country.

And so popular culture raises issues that are very important, actually, in the country I think. You get issues of the First Amendment rights and issues of drug use, issues of AIDS, and things like that all arise naturally out of pop culture.

The solicitude, tensionless
When in track bound race,
You are in tension.
When in time bound work,
You are in tension.
In code bound life also
You are in tension.
In fenceless terrace too
You are in tension.
Boundless is not ocean.
Boundless is not earth.
Boundless is not air.
Your solitude has no tracks.
Unto it if you merge,
You are not in tension.

When you raise issues with the President, try to come away with both that decision and also a precedent. Pose issues so as to evoke broader policy guidance. This can help to answer a range of similar issues likely to arise later.

The Myth of Male Power dealt much more with the political issues, the legal issues, sexual harassment, date rape, women who kill, and those issues were very much more interfaced with the agendas of feminism.

Issues
For all, issues arise every day in every shape and size.
You must deal with all of them in ways that are wise.
For some you are glad while others make you mad.
Lucky for you, but a few, are in themselves, truly sad.
Worst of all are issues that you alone cause to be bad.
Before your presence there was no problem to be had.
Love, family and health are key issues of each day,
Though issues of money and power hinder your way.
If not addressed these infections will spread and may
Kill the love you have and result in a life of dismay.

I Like The Way
Somewhere inside my evolution
Karmically I seek retribution
Looking for love in physical beauty
Desire is the drug of the bourgeoisie
And now I try to intellectualize
Like a glimmer of good in a bad man's eyes
I am consumed by the flesh haunting me
I know temptation taunts the empty
So pour yourself over me
Until there's nothing left to see, yeah yeah
Because I like the way you move in the dark
I like the tension, the tension and the spark
The decadence of giving into desire
Creates such entropy within
Looking for love in spiritual faces
Blind to the art of fabrication
I'm like a baby sucking mama's milk
Want to drink my fill and then some
Leave me alone
I always thought I was better than this
But temptation tempts the temptee
Pour yourself over me
Until there's nothing left to see, yeah yeah
Oh, because I like the way you move in the dark
And I like the tension, the tension and the spark, oh
Because I like the way you move in the dark, oh
You know I like the tension, the tension and, the tension and the spark, oh
This physicality
Shifting me chemically
Such power over me
It's just desire
I know it's treachery (shifting me chemically)
I know it's just skin deep (such power over me)
I know I should resist
I'm just too tired
Too tired
There's just one thing missing
One thing missing here is
Love
I like the way you move in the dark
I like the tension, the tension and the spark (so pour yourself over me)
You know, I like the way you move in the dark (so pour yourself over me)
You know, I like the tension, the tension and, the tension and the spark
So pour yourself over me
(There's just one thing missing)
(One thing missing)
Until there's nothing left to see
(There's just one thing missing)
(The tension and the spark)
(One thing missing)
(So pour yourself over me)
There's just one thing missing
One thing missing
(So pour yourself over me)
(I like the tension, the tension and the spark)
(There's just one thing missing)
One thing missing here is...

The Truth will kill you (comment any suggestions please! !)
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The scars in my soul all seem too real.
The wound is jus too deep to heal.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
Ignorance is only bliss
Left in this dark, cold abyss.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The pain is too much to bare.
So deeply I long to not care.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.

Intelligent Response
the only intelligent response
to our current global situation
involves... taking on the mantle
of responsibility, removing the
blinders from our eyes, rolling
up our sleeves, and getting to
the work.
those who hesitate, lose! those
who believe, act! those who act,
do so out of love!

With A Protection Of Respect Expected
Clearly it will be displayed one day...
True fellowship.
With a courtesy that is felt and meant.
And none of this will need a law...
To research for documentation,
When the current regimented disarray obeyed...
Of nonsensical racism thaws to go away.
With a protection of respect expected...
That comes to visit and is welcomed stay.
No one today benefits at all from conflict.
Who is seen rejoicing from these sickening fits?
Anyone believing they hold an advantage,
By the persistent inciting of this...
Will admit how debilitating,
The insistence of this weakness is.
Only those who perceive,
They have interests to protect...
Will eventually come to see,
An advancement of limitation...
Is like an epidemic that diseases,
One's mind confined to a self inflicting quarantine...
That ravages and binds with a stagnation of lost time.
And that someday will come soon...
With a cure for all to leave these issues behind.

Cant Do It Alone
Verse1:
You know Im not one to complain
But its not how it used to be
Its not like anyone is to blame
But you can at least look at me
Hardships come and go
This I know, this I know
Chorus:
But Ive got all the time in the world
All the things you require
All the strength to survive
All the pain and desire
But theres more than just one
In a happy home
If you want it to work
I cant do it alone
Verse2:
I know that youre under a strain
You, me, and the rest of the world
The sunrise and the evening rain
I would risk it all
Fairy tales are nice
But it takes work to bring them to life
Chorus
Fairy tales are nice
But it takes work to bring them to life
Chorus
Chorus:
Ive got all the time in the world
All the things you require
All the strength to survive
All the pain and desire
But theres more than just one
In a happy home
If you want it to work
I cant do it alone
I cant do it alone
