Popularity is a crime from the moment it is sought; it is only a virtue where men have it whether they will or no.

Food in store turns poison

I loved and married for her popularity.
More admirers came close to her
For the very popularity.
I killed her for the same popularity.

A Popularity Had Is So Passé

A popularity had is so passé
Like a trasition from one fad to another,
That eventually goes away.

For some it is nice to be the one adored.
Until the reality of becoming a bore to ignore,
Hits one that faces a closing of a door.

A popularity had is so passé .
Here today...
And 'maybe' tomorrow.
But never coming for anyone,
To sit and visit with hints of it to stay.

Anything or anyone once given it,
Gives it up one day.
A popularity had is so passé.

Popularity should be no scale for the election of politicians. If it would depend on popularity, Donald Duck and The Muppets would take seats in senate.

My Antipathy

I have a heartfelt aversion for crime,--a twofold aversion,
Since 'tis the reason why man prates about virtue so much.
"What! thou hatest, then, virtue?"--I would that by all it were practised,
So that, God willing, no man ever need speak of it more.

The Survivor

I am twenty-four
led to slaughter
I survived.

The following are empty synonyms:
man and beast
love and hate
friend and foe
darkness and light.

The way of killing men and beasts is the same
I've seen it:
truckfuls of chopped-up men
who will not be saved.

Ideas are mere words:
virtue and crime
truth and lies
beauty and ugliness
courage and cowardice.

Virtue and crime weigh the same
I've seen it:
in a man who was both
criminal and virtuous.

I seek a teacher and a master
may he restore my sight hearing and speech
may he again name objects and ideas
may he separate darkness from light.

I am twenty-four
led to slaughter
I survived.

The Portent

Horace, BK. V. Ode 20.

Oh, late withdrawn from human-kind
And following dreams we never knew!
Varus, what dream has Fate assigned
To trouble you?

Such virtue as commends of law
Of Virtue to the vulgar horde
Suffices not. You needs must draw
A righteous sword;

And, flagrant in well-doing, smite
The priests of Bacchus at their fane,
Lest any worshipper invite
The God again.

Whence public strife and naked crime
And-deadlier than the cup you shun--
A people schooled to mock, in time,
All law--not one.

Cease, then, to fashion State-made sin,
Nor give thy children cause to doubt
That Virtue springs from Iron within--
Not lead without.

Popularity and Truth

Do you honestly believe,
A truth is spoken to obtain one popularity?
Has grandma ever baked a cake you ate,
To exclaim it delicious...
But thought to hate it later,
Because the taste of it was that good?

And admitting to wanting another slice,
Was too embarrassing to say...
In the presence of others,
Who disliked grandma's directness.
And how that directness was displayed.

Popularity and truth,
Do not normally become a mixture...
One anticipates from a craving to satisfy.
These days people are afraid,
To approach a kitchen or know how hot,
An over can get to experience a staying away from it.

Popularity accompanied by truth,
Rarely gets any votes as a choice people prefer...
With thunderous applause and a cheering heard.

A Kept Secret Ingredient

If some could subsidize a getting of popularity,
As if for them it was a need within them feeding...
Like so many believe obtaining it is.
To lift them to heights of sustained happiness.
Those who have achieved it are often surprised,
How and why anything they've done...
Makes them the popular one to be in spotlight.
Since they were not on a mission to get it.
Or is it with them visiting to prioritize...
Uncompromising,
As a reason for their purpose to live.
With a keeping of their popularity,
A kept secret ingredient to add to the recipe.

Popularity

How dose one measure
Popularity
Is it the stats that say?
You get hits everyday
Or the comments you read
About your poetry

How do they know?
Your popularity
How dose one fathom
What people think

I sit here and ponder
Can this be real?
I'm classed as a poet
My dream JUST became real

I Wish For

That silence that i crave is here
That pin dropp moment ever sought
That tick tock hear the clock moment
That hum of background hush

That silence that i crave is here
The TV light is glowing red
The phone though on is silent, dead
Just flickering lights and I

That silence that I crave is here,
That sky so dark yet witness still
Partner in my crime of hushed perfection
Stand on guard we face my insurrection

The silence that I crave is here
Be gone the thoughts of daylight shrill
Attacked from every angle still
When moments thought engulfed..

The silence that i crave is here
No money funded e'er a place
That spawned such words in loving grace
The silence that I craved is here.

Prolonged Too Long

People who have sought most of their lives,
To obtain popularity with a sudden found interest...
In the times from them that have long gone and moved on,
Are the ones who should feel they have been cheated.
Since they have prolonged too long,
Involving themselves in activities fed to feed escapes...
From their realities that have been erased and replaced.
And they have not a clue how to relate and/or to whom.

Is It A Crime?

Is it a crime?
When love find its way home
Far away from what’s written in the name card
Yet it is the perfect place to dwell
Would we learn the new path?

Is it a crime?
When a vow loose its meaning
Far too fast from its due moment
Yet it is the sincere words to hold
Would we find the missing line?

Is it a crime?
When good intention change its color
Far too dim from its original shadow
Yet it is the brightest light to follow
Would we follow the former guidance?

Is it a crime?
When the heart beat miss its rhyme
Far too distance from its old note
Yet it is the lovely language to be spell
Would we understand the true lesson?

Is it a crime?
When the dream perform its reality
Far too complicated from what expected
Yet it is the finest story ever to be told
Would we appreciate the truth?

Is it a crime?
When the faith despise its power
Far too fragile from the restless mind
Yet it is the perfect theory to buy
Would we count on the premonition?

Is it a crime?
When my mind loosing its sanity
Far too reckless from my pure intention
Yet it is nothing but you
Would you reply all of my questions?

Until All Itching Has Been Scratched From It

Truth and popularity do not mix.
In some minds this is an unfit relationship.
And suitable it is to be distanced quick.

Truth and popularity do not mix.
People confronted run and do not sit.
And finding it difficult to be seen near it.

And these are the ones who become upset,
By living lives reflecting their own negligence.
Hiding in denial and deluded by embellishments.

And these are the people who today regret,
Spending their last dime...
To make impressions others forget.
Since impressions themselves,
Leave nothing concrete meant.

Truth and popularity do not mix.
In some minds this is an unfit relationship.
And suitable it is to be distanced quick.
Like that which irritates...
Until all itching has been scratched from it.

Overwhelmingly Magnetic

So busy they are today,
With their self importance.
Those feeding off of acquired popularity.
And believing themselves,
Overwhelmingly magnetic to others.
As they see themselves to be.

They can not see themselves,
From a superficial point of view.
They believe themselves to be the center of things.
Since some folks have them believing that is true.

A connection that has existed for some time to the world,
Appears to be comfortably attached...
Without an outward showing,
Of an entrapped affectation.
That connection to reality is obvious to those,
Who are aware of what reality means.

And for many this has been their lives as known.
A desire to have a popularity.
To be seen and showing what it is they do and 'own'.
And feeling alone and hollow,
If egos they displayed were not publicly overblown.
And fed wherever they are bled to produce,
Evidence of their significance to induce a following.

'Are you jealous? '

Of what?
I have been comfortable in my own skin,
'Most' of my life!
I am in no need to solicit popularity.
My radiance comes naturally.

'Oh.
How blind of me not to see it.'

The effect of the virtue

A man of virtue practises virtue
Against the myriads of odds, so true,
And wove around him a crust of virtue
But his core remained as same underneath.
His libido is much in compression,
Capable of giving more explosions.
A man of virtue is a potential danger
From whom might spurt evils at any scale.
