Most men, I am convinced, have an unmistakable feeling at the final moment of significant choice that they are making a free decision, that they can really decide which one of two or more roads to follow.

Indecision is A Decision
At times I decide
Not to decide
This indecision
Is not indecision
It is in fact a decision
Of avoiding to decide
Because If I decide
The decision
May ultimately decide
The pending decision
And the resulting decision
May not allow me
To take any decision
In the future

Taking Too Long Is Not Recommended
The only drawback there is,
To making up one's mind...
With a final decision made,
Is the time, date and the year of it.
And what one believes is needed,
To decide.
If one still has high expectations,
Those awaiting for a response...
For a decision to be made.
And finally that day comes...
As if a light switch has been turned on!
That expectation once high,
Should be lowered considerably.
Since...
The likelihood of that decision made,
Being obsolete...
Is more than just likely a given!
'I'm sorry.
Who are you again?
You say we were the best of friends,
Back 'then'?
WHEN?
How far back is 'then'?
I don't remember you at all.
Oh...
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
I do!
Geeessshhh.
What happened to you?
You don't look the same at all.
I don't remember what was discussed.
What was it? '
The only drawback there is,
To making up one's mind...
With a final decision to make,
Is the time, date and the year of it.
And...
When one is requesting time to think things over,
Taking too long is not recommended.

Free To Decide
Its not worth anything more than this at all
I live as I choose or I will not live at all
So return to where youve come from
Return to where you dwell
Because harassments not my forte
But you do it very well
Im free to decide, Im free to decide
And Im not so suicidal after all
Im free to decide, Im free to decide
And Im not so suicidal after all (at all, at all)
You must have nothing more with your mind to do
Theres a war in russia and sarejevo, too
So to hell with want youre thinking
And to hell with your narrow mind
Youre so distracted from the real thing
You should leave your life behind (behind)
Im free to decide, Im free to decide
And Im not so suicidal after all
Im free to decide, Im free to decide
And Im not so suicidal after all (at all, at all)
Im free to decide, Im free to decide
And Im not so suicidal after all (at all, at all)
At all, at all, at all

Roads That Cross
There are roads that cross,
From which one picks to choose.
Hoping to make a correct decision,
To select the best...
Is very difficult to do.
And one does what is thought to be right,
With faith to pray.
And one does what is hoped,
Will not cause confusion...
The rest of one's life to pay.
Yet...
Are there any roads paved with gold,
Cleared of clouds or thunder?
Are there any free of obstacles,
With no sign of pouring rain.
And...
Is there much to gain,
If one refuses to choose?
Are there any roads paved with gold,
Cleared of clouds or roaring thunder?
Are there any free of obstacles,
With no sign of feeling pain?
And...
Is there much to gain,
If one refuses to choose?
Is there any other way,
To live...
With a doing done to do.

I Can Hear You
i am here i can hear you.
but just like them i need not bother.
we are all free
we have our own light
freely given
we are responsible for our own lives
now
you too, no one can be responsible for you.
if you die, die alone.
if you cry, cry alone.
if you smile, and laugh, that is a decision.
if you die, that is a decision.
if you live, that is another decision.
a choice.
an ocean of choices.
an ocean of choices over a continent of options.
take your pick
and be yourself.
me? i choose to live. I choose to be happy.
i choose to be responsible. I don't bother sad people
or happy people.
I scratch my back when it itches.
i set the correct time for my ejaculations.
i sit and relax at my own pace.
i take a walk and breathe. I fill my lungs with so much air.
I float like a cloud. I jump like a grasshopper.
I see like the sun.
I fly like an eagle.
I get high sometimes
and get so low sometimes
but i care about myself
and live my life the way i want it.
i don't humiliate myself with making other people responsible for me.
I can do it.
I don't want other people to drive my car for me
i have hands.
I don't let people open the door for me
i have fingers.
I live my life. That is my business.
I am a breather, that is what i do.
When life does not have meaning anymore
like a wall
i bump it on the wall and then i go.
I know where. I decide that too.

All I Ask
All I ask
Is to live each moment
Free from the last
Take the road forgotten
Dont leave me here
Oh, please let me stray
Far from familiar things
All I ask
Is to live each moment
All I ask
Is to live each moment
Free from the last
Strange roads
Going nowhere
Going nowhere in particular
All I ask
Is to live each moment
All I ask
Is to live each moment
Free from the last
Free from the last
All I ask

Guess Who Has Fewer Headaches?
The lesson I've learned,
From my own observations...
That had me debating what decision to make.
And I am the one left in an emotional state of mind?
That left me awake at nights from time to time.
And sometimes crying.
To begin hating myself because of someone else?
Well...
I have found a way,
To do what I can then to walk away.
With no feeling of guilt at all.
'Oh yeah?
What have you found,
To keep you smiling all day without making a frown? '
Today...
Whenever someone begins to argue with me,
As to 'how' I should rescue them from a quicksand pit.
And the person who needs to be saved...
Has a preference as to which device they would like,
Besides the kind and type of rope I brought to use...
To free them out and cleared from their own dilemma?
And they say to me the choice I made,
Isn't the one they would choose?
I have learned to do this...
Throw in the rope to tie it to a rock.
In knots!
And leave them with a decision to make on their own.
'But that is not the Christian thing to do.'
I know.
But guess who has fewer headaches?

Free will and Fear
Cupidity is a door before most...
Avarice is that host...
But greed is the ghost...
Ever wonder why you wanted...
Every good looking male or female?
For you ladies...
Having more then one sex partner...
Was considered taboo...
But for young men...
It was like being a boxer...
Win, win, win....
You the rooster...
She the the hen...
Women you have free-will...
And when you use it right or wrong...
you feel less then strong...
Guys when you use your free-will...
You rob, steal and kill...
for the thrill...
later becoming ill...
God gave us all the choice...
To use free-will...
But what good is free-will...
When it cause you to kill...
Have more then one sex partner...
Rape or mutilate another human...
Now take greed a known factor...
In choice of free-will...
Pride another factor...
The Jones another factor...
War, is there a choice in...
Free-will for the trooper...
Fear, not free-will...
A rape victim giving into the rapist...
Survival or free-will...
(The Feeling) ...
What is it about...
The feeling that makes free-will...
Different from what...
It's thought to BE...

Do Not Interrupt My Choice
I do have a choice,
And I make my own decisions.
Do NOT give me 'voice'.
When, in fact...
You're in a position to listen.
And...
If employed,
In a customer service position...
As a 'sales technician',
Like it or not...
Respect my choice.
Do not debate with me,
To stir up conflict...
With my decision.
When I'm given 'voice'...
And I know that voice to be,
Coming from one to indicate superior authority...
Over me!
As if what I decide for my life is not best.
Because I reveal I live on a budget...
And that is confessed how fixed it is.
Do NOT act as if,
I am not aware of it!
By treating me on the telephone,
Where I live is inferior.
And my mind is in a non-thinking zone!
I do have a choice,
And I make my own decisions.
Do NOT give me 'voice'.
When, in fact...
You are in a position to listen.
And...
Do not give me dial tone either.
Because my decision affects your commission.
I am not responsible for your economic condition.
Especially if I can barely satisfy my own!
Do not interrupt my choice,
By disconnecting your voice.

When making a decision of minor importance, I have always found it advantageous to consider all the pros and cons. In vital matters, however, such as the choice of a mate or a profession, the decision should come from the unconscious, from somewhere within ourselves. In the important decisions of personal life, we should be governed, I think, by the deep inner needs of our nature.

Laughing Quietly...
that old shutter,
banging against this old house.
the wind rises, making angry faces,
water surges past stopped up gutters.
trees bend and sway with magic,
the grasses moan in orgasmic delight.
the world threatens, its final statement.
death taunts as if by choice.
long dusty roads beneath the eyes,
flood, and are then reborn.
life teeters, lightning creates,
bones to dust to beginning seed.
standing in the doorway, drinking thunder,
laughing quietly at myself!
on the brink of infinity,
the moment fragile, filled with awe!

Prisoner on Trial
Who are you to judge me on whom I really am?
Who are you to decide my life journey?
What gives you right to know what's best for me?
What gives you the authority to decide what I am and am not capable of doing?
Most certainly not you! You live your life and I will live mine.
I'm tired of feeling like a prisoner on trial.
Giving the jury the power to decide my fate.
Feeling like I'm guilty for every little move that I make.
Always scared to go against the jury's verdict.
Feeling like my life I'm living is not my own.
Always responding the way people expect me too.
Even if it goes against what I believe.
All I want to is break free of these chains and live my life without every move being examined through a microscope.

Spoiled
Sometimes,
I know You may find me acting...
As if You do not exist.
That's when my free will works overtime.
And my choice to decide I can not push aside.
You did this to me to see what I would do.
To see if I would totally forget my relationship,
With You.
How can I do this when You bombard me with gifts?
I am completely spoiled and this I am sure You can not miss!
Sometimes,
I know You may find me acting...
As if You do not exist.
That's when my free will works overtime.
And my choice to decide I can not push aside.
But Father?
You are everything I AM.
And I have yet to be all there is You wish for me to be.
So 'if' You see me acting as 'if' You do not exist...
Know that I do the best I can to want to impress You!

Crime, And Justice...
crime, and justice,
how do we decide?
the crime committed,
but what caused the crime?
poverty, need,
addiction, hopelessness.
the anger of the owned,
lashing out indiscriminately.
but the choice is still there.
in the final it is!
but violence breeds violence,
and greed breeds violence.
we bury the victim,
listening for footsteps down the hall.
the executioner closes his eyes
as if to absolve.
and we bury another.
those that have still have.
well protected, well insulated,
and the courtroom is empty.
choices?
who owns the choice?
in the final judgement,
whose hands will be clean?

Their evensong; my pleasure for friend Thad
I sit outside the monastery
and pass an hour pleasantly
Listening to the brothers chant
I find their plain song elegant.
I wonder why, it puzzles me
Why do some men voluntarily
decide upon monastic life.
Are they afraid of worldly strife.
It seems to me that they retreat
from normal life; admit defeat.
I’m sure they see it differently
To me it is a mystery.
What can they possibly achieve.
This question really baffles me.
I must suppose that they believe.
It’s pleasing to their deity.
But I am not a Christian
I have my own philosophy.
More suited to a simple man.
Which is all I claim to be.
They have a choice they can decide
to worship God in their own way.
I am content to sit outside
I do not have the right to say.
What they should do or should not do.
My own motto is tolerance
that’s why I come to listen to
the plain song. which my ears entrance.
When night falls and all is still.
The final notes have died away.
I exercise my own free will
and rise to make my homeward way.
My God does not expect me to
stick to a rigid discipline.
The way the brothers have to do.
To pray or not the choice is mine.

I am a beggar; I have a choice, but
I am a beggar; I have a choice, but
I have been begging since long
Since the time I started realizing
As to what I am doing
I beg, again, to differ
With the common phrasing that
Beggars have no choice
I decide my beneficiary,
The one who is given the opportunity of
Lending me a help, however minor it may be
I do not beg everyone passing by
I choose my potential helper
By his/her look, gait, and what is going on in his/her mind
I can do mind reading too
I can make out that
Someone is in a hurry to a workplace
Someone is much relaxed
Someone is sure of what is ahead
Someone is working out details of investment
Someone is planning a great spending
Someone is worried with health issues of someone in family
And so on
This mind reading helps me decide my beneficiary
I may not get the help each time is
Another story
But, note I have a choice
I know where I will get free food matching my taste
I know when to go which temple
For the midday mercy meals
Again, I have a choice
I decide also the place where I beg
Temple entries are good fetching
Mosque entries on Fridays
Church entries on Sundays
Provide me with resources more than what I need
See, I have a choice
I see great opportunities for examining my own self
When I beg
The inner me coming closer to me
As others go away from me
For fear of being asked for help
I do not see these opportunities
With most of others
Who rush to somewhere
Toil for fixed hours as assigned to them
Wait for alms at the end
The only thing I do to get help is
To ask for it
I am happy with what I am doing
I am a beggar; I have a choice, but

The Way And The Goal
If you somehow find or see the way,
be firm in your resolve come what may.
The way for you is that which reveals
Your real nature within hidden seals;
being those which we have all constructed,
over the years left with, now are obstructed.
To say only that whatever did happen
was thrust upon us, we were mistaken
is due to lack of discrimination right from the start
considering, the choice was ours, we played the part.
We became entangled in an invisible net
of our own creation and so fell into debt.
We looked for that which never existed
outside of ourselves and became twisted.
Finding out painfully things just did not last
as we expected them to, remember the past? ....
Perhaps one who has recognised this and with detachment,
some reflection acquires dispassion, sees their attachment,
will find the right keys, with a little grace unlock the seals
fastened within their mind and heart, so remove the veils.
Revealing the inner light gradually brighter
by the virtue of purity and thus get lighter,
feeling our natural essence being unalloyed bliss;
ecstatic joy, unmistakable and unable to dismiss
as something other than coming from within,
sustaining, fulfilling, and definitely free of sin.
Projected from inside as a screen seemingly outside where
it manifested as tangible objects appearing to be out there.
This is part of a grand design to lure us all from the source
by a world of duality being apparently an adversary force.
Creating so many illusions and making us believe
we haven't the things with which it tries to deceive.
Eventually becoming involved in an unreal mesh
of the five objects through the doors of our flesh.
And using five limbs we get seduced even more,
caught in a desperate struggle to hold and score
all that we can hope to get by not realising that
everything has come out of our own mind's hat,
that we have all created to experience the extent
of our Infinite Being which was really the intent.
We are only One Being apart from it all
eternally free, playing the game we just saw
of hide and seek making all the right choices
within its own dream and thus finally rejoices.
When finding Itself as all, nothing has remained
left to be known; all has in Itself been ascertained.
Awakened at last and knowing ourselves as one motion
of existence indivisible beyond certainty a shoreless ocean
of light self effulgent and forever complete,
only Itself, all pervading, can actually meet.
Infinity of existence, omniscient, formless; nowhere bound,
endless and immutable being Itself without a second around.
Awesome, incomprehensible, beyond mind's ability to grasp
except after final annihilation of all limitations in its clasp.
Everything and nothing have merged as before
into that place where they will be forevermore.
For a moment only that Existence of Being is Now
and am by myself so reverently to That must bow.
