People I look to: again, Hank Aaron, man you challenged the status quo and the records of the game. Monumental feats in an era where people didn't like that.

I don't know where Hank Aaron will break Ruth's record but I can tell you one thing - ten years from the day he hits it three million people will say they were there.

We The People
We the people.
Are not ones to trust.
We the people.
Turned diamonds to rust.
We the people.
Created our binds.
We the people are foolish and blind.
We the people.
Are bullies that shove.
We the people.
'The same-sex can't love! '
We the people.
With morals so worn.
We the people.
Will save the unborn!
We the people.
Raise cowardly minds.
We the people.
Commited the crime.
We the people.
With confident grins.
We the people.
Will fail again.

I've written enough books with real celebrities, such as Walter Payton and Hank Aaron and Billy Graham, to know that fame looks good only to people who don't have it.

Sonnet: Records
Records are meant to be broken on earth,
By newer generations of humans;
Nothing is constant: not even our birth;
Let us then live with exultation sans.
Records are set in diff’ring conditions;
Techniques too matter a lot anytime;
Just as how books come in new editions,
Records get humbled by men more sublime.
Greatest are the feats of those pioneers,
Who scaled the mountain-peaks on their bare-feet!
Records get broken by men without fears,
Trudging on the sands of Time, on their own beat.
Records are ones all inconstant on earth;
Newer ones get created without dearth.

The real amazing thing about all of this is I think I've maintained the mentality of a musician throughout it all, which I'm proudest of. And I'm still playing on people's records and singing on people's records.

Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way ?
(waylon jennings)
Lord, its the same old tune
Fiddle and guitar
Where do you take it from here ?
Rhinestone suits, new shiny cars,
Its been the same way for years.
We need a change.
Somebody told me when I came to nashville,
son, you finally got it made!
Old hank made it here, we all should do it our way
I dont think hank done it this way,
No, I dont think hank done it this way.
Ten years on the road making one-night stands
Spitting my young life away.
Tell me one more time so Ill understand
Are you sure hank done it this way ?
Did old hank really did it this way ?
Lord, Ive seen the world with a five-piece band
Looking at the back side of me
Singing my songs one hears now and then
But I dont think hank done it this way,
No, I dont think hank done it this way.

You actually have a lot more enemies being a star than you do being a normal person, because some people get jealous, some people don't think you're fit for it, or some people just wanna be doing what you do.

The One Who Laid Down All The Pipe
When a mold has been broken,
It is difficult to replace its status.
Since the achitect needed,
To re-create the blueprint...
Has to everyone been told,
Through generations young and old...
Their selective beginnings started,
From hand-me-down myths...
Of ancestors sitting high on thrones.
When in actuality,
The achitect was a janitor named Hank...
Who loved to doodle.
You know...
Hank?
The one who laid down all the pipe.

DEPRESSION is not a sign of weakness
it is a sign that you have been trying to be strong for too long.
Put this as your status if you know someone who has
or has had depression.
Will you do it and leave it on your status for at least an hour?
Most people won't, but it's mental health week
and 1 in 3 of us will suffer at some point in our lives.
Show your support good people.
I copy and pasted, will you?

When it all started, record companies - and there were many of them, and this was a good thing - were run by people who loved records, people like Ahmet Ertegun, who ran Atlantic Records, who were record collectors. They got in it because they loved music.

Why are people always
Why are people always cheating?
Why are people always fighting?
Why are people always dieing?
Why are people always crying?
Why are people always hating?
Why are people always debating?
Why are people always trading?
Why are people always trying to fit in?
Why are people always cursing?
Why are people always bursting?
Why are people always tripping?
Why are people always not trying to be fair?
Why are people always trying to be dumb?
Why are people always playing too much?
Why are people always misbehaving?
Why are people always do drugs?
Why are people always not trying to have a future?
Why do people always try to ruin their life?
Why?

We meet people all the time....
We meet people all the time
Rich people with nothing
Poor people with the world
Kind people
Not so kind people
Funny people
People who think they are funny
People who laugh at other peoples pain
People who change the course of our lives
People whom we change their direction
Inspirational people
Caring people
Intelligent people
History tells us of people who create World misery
And the ones who end it
People who charm the socks off us (while we are wearing our shoes!)
People who steal our affections
People who give us undeserved affections
All the time we meet people
Wouldn’t it be nice if this poem didn’t label them though?
