There's this sense of excitement because you invent and control the characters. You decide whether they live or die. I find this type of creative process tremendously stimulating.

You love all your characters, even the ridiculous ones. You have to on some level; they're your weird creations in some kind of way. I don't even know how you approach the process of conceiving the characters if in a sense you hated them. It's just absurd.
Those of Creative Inclinations
I love it!
When those who perceive,
My ceative sensibilities...
Exposes a sensitivity,
That implies a character weakness.
Those of creative inclinations are often compared.
With limp wrists and tea cups!
But there are very few I now know or then knew,
Who were shy to tell anyone a thing or two...
Or where to go!
Anyone connected to this creative process knows...
It is not a joke.
Not this process carefully invoked...
To provoke a higher consciousness.
Growing older makes one aware,
Of the strength involved in this!
Nor made of fluff are these creative disciplines.
The only ones who believe they are...
Are those who have unruly children.
And have themselves disconnected...
From the creations of their realities.
Wishing to perceive,
Those of creativity are lazy!
Which for the most part,
Has been reluctantly failures man made!
To get a quick buck.
To find themselves at dead ends...
And out of luck!
Shall I say...
On their 'lazy' butts.
Remove the creative process out of schools...
And the manufacturing of fools are produced.
But then again...
I need not to say that today,
Do I?

Different Sets of Disciplines
It is hard to make you part,
Of my creative process.
You wish I needed your assistance.
But how would I apply that...
When all of life and what life is,
Supplies my inspiration.
Is it difficult for you to see yourself,
In everything I do?
Because everything I do is not about you.
Even though for you I choose to be accessible.
But when that gets excessive,
Your presence has to go!
It is hard to make you part,
Of my creative process.
You wish I needed your assistance.
But how would I apply that...
When all of life and what life is,
Supplies my inspiration.
And when that no longer becomes my motivation,
A mood comes over me.
Darker than a cloud that produces thunder.
And storms about as if engaged to strike at the sight,
Of malaise that comes to threaten...
Curtailing the process that feeds my mind with delighted,
Excitement.
And since you do none of that,
We can only share...
Those moments when I am not 'ON'.
And I do my best to stay 'ON' as long as possible.
Until I am off to go to bed.
Like I feel that need to do right now!
We come from different sets of disciplines.

Perfectionism is not a quest for the best. It is a pursuit of the worst in ourselves, the part that tells us that nothing we do will ever be good enough — that we should try again. No. We should not. Focused on process, our creative life retains a sense of adventure. Focused on product, the same creative life can feel foolish or barren.

While Seeking Something More Impressive
They are the first to admit,
A seeking of creative ways to advance...
And exist in all areas,
That will justify their growth process.
But for whatever the reasons,
They have chosen to dismiss...
Those with the creative expertise,
To recommend with suggestions.
And instead look for scholars,
With book sense to limited mindsets...
To guide them in their quest,
To be the best that they can be!
And...
They still will never see,
The forest for the trees.
While seeking something more impressive.

A Mirror Image
How many times when reading a book,
do we identify with the characters within?
Their traits they have we share,
their loves and heartaches
their lives go through somehow mirror our own.
It’s as if the author was writing about us.
As though he has put us under a microscope
and then writing down everything, he saw.
However, we know this isn’t so
because he or she has written
segments of their own life
and by accident they happen to mirror ours.
Every writer will tell you
that they have their characters under control.
Having written numerous novels,
I know the characters take on a life of their own
and do what they want to do.
We become their instrument as they guide us on our way.
We end up writing what they want us to say.
To every writer his characters are real,
they live, breathe and feel.
The more you write about them,
the more alive they become.
So the next time you pick up a book
and the characters seem real,
they probably are to the author
who looks after them.

Choose To Be
Not gonna keep up my guard to prove I'm hard
or put on some act to earn your respect
cause that's not the type of life I want to live
and that's not the type of energy I want to give
I guess I'm not cool according to you
for having some friends who don't seem to fit in
well that's not the type of life I want to live
and that's not the type of energy I want to give
I guess you don't see cause you seem to be
real tough but living in misery
well that's not the type of life I want to live
and that's not the type of energy I want to give

Medicated And Blocked
We live in times,
When the absence of content...
Has little or nothing to do,
With the popularity of anyone...
Hyped to represent,
A relevance that is emptied...
Of any appearance of common sense.
Intentional or not...
The increase of this,
Will not soon be stopped.
Since the minds of the people...
Have been both medicated and blocked,
For any type of thought process...
That can differentiate those priorities smothered,
And kept on the bottom from the ones that should be,
On an agenda nourished,
To remain flourishing on top!

What Is This That I Do?
What is this that I do?
What is this?
And what is it?
What is this that I do?
Tell me,
What is this that I do?
Tell me,
What is this that I do?
What is this?
And what is it?
What is this that I do?
Tell me,
What is it?
And what is this?
What is this that I do?
Am I trying to be analytic.
What is this that I do?
Everyday and with commitment too!
What is this that I do?
Tell me,
What is this?
And what is it?
What is this that I do?
Write and type for my own excitement?
What is this that I do?
To do it for a 'whom' to prove?
What is this that I do?
And what intention is this meant?
Am I doing this to make some sense?
What is this that I do?
For who?
What is this?
And what is it?
What is this that I do?
Tell me,
Am I doing it for comprehension?
What is this that I do?
Am I doing it to understand?
What is this that I do?
Am I doing this to blow a mind?
And finding that I'm blowing mine.
What is this that I do?
Am I doing this because I can?
What is this that I do?
What is this?
And what is it?
What is this that I do?
Tell me,
What is this that I do?
Tell me,
What is this that I do?
Am I doing this because I can?
What is this that I do?
What is this?
And what is it?
What is this that I do?
Am I doing this because I can?
What is this that I do?
Am I doing this because I can?

What Type Of Man
What kind of a man goes after a married woman
What kind of a man does it and proclaims his faith in GOD
What kind of man does the things that he shouldn't
Does that type of man think that he will never be caught.
What type of man leaves his children and his wife
What type of man puts his needs and his wants first
What type of a man is scared to fight his own fights
Does that type of man cares whose soul that he hurts.
What type of man talks behind other peoples backs
What type of man lies to make himself look tall in front of others
What type of man is scared to admit the guilt that he has done
Does that type of man think that we are his brothers.
What type of man will not work for a living
What type of man wants others to take care of him
What type of man thinks he is something but he's not
Does that type of man thinks that manhood is his friend.
What type of man cannot be used as an example
What type of man does not keep promises that he's made
What type of man should not be father to any child
Does that type of man know the price that a real man has paid.
What type of man thinks but he cannot think
What type of man looks but he truly does not see
What type of man hears but he does not listen
Does that type of man know that he could never be me.

I type even faster than I talk. I'm very proud of that. I type so fast. And I have to because the characters are living in real time and I've got to keep up with them. It's a miracle they even give me a royalty.

Add To This Spice With Equal Excitement
Have you ever been mistaken as shallow?
Because of an image your presence gives?
Have you ever been thought of as less than human,
And more like a novelty to entertain those inquisitive.
And those private conversations,
You conduct in the strictest of confidence...
Soon becomes those whispers gossiped,
With you as the topic on misiformed lips.
You will get over it,
IF there is no attempt to refute innuendos.
Instead...
Be creative.
Start some outlandish rumors of your own making.
Why go it alone?
Add to this spice with equal excitement.
No one will ever know...
How you keep rejuvenating your peace.
Why go it alone?
In your home why be the one up late,
Because of what others say...
Keeps you from a restful sleep.
Be creative.
Add to this spice with equal excitement.
Remember...
No one will ever know...
How you keep rejuvenating your peace.
Or how you manage to appear so youthful!

Into Their Outer Selves
Many are into their outer selves.
You know...
What they believe impresses.
For a next step taken.
If key preferences have been met.
And the selection is considered a catch.
Many are into their outer selves.
You know...
'The-what-I-got-that-you-need' type people.
The ones that zoom in to evaluate a scoring process,
Before they decide whether or not...
The pick up is going to be worth a tired conversation.
