Wide-sounding Zeus takes away half a man's worth on the day when slavery comes upon him.

You will certainly not be able to take the lead in all things yourself, for to one man a god has given deeds of war, and to another the dance, to another lyre and song, and in another wide-sounding Zeus puts a good mind.
Half The World
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Half the world hates
What half the world does every day
Half the world waits
While half gets on with it anyway
Half the world lives
Half the world makes
Half the world gives
While the other half takes
Half the world is
Half the world was
Half the world thinks
While the other half does
Half the world talks
With half a mind on what they say
Half the world walks
With half a mind to run away
Half the world lies
Half the world learns
Half the world flies
As half the world turns
Half the world cries
Half the world laughs
Half the world tries
To be the other half
Half of us divided like a torn-up photograph half of us are
Trying to reach the other half
Half the world cares
While half the world is wasting the day
Half the world shares
While half the world is stealing away

Half The World
Half the world lives,
Half the world makes,
Half the world gives
While the other half takes.
Half the world hates,
Half the world runs away,
Half the world's late,
Half the world praises the day.
Half the world is,
Half the world was,
Half the world thinks,
Half the world does.
Half the world lies,
Half the world burns,
Half the world cries
While the other half turns.
Half the world cares,
Half the world weeps,
Half the world shares,
Half the world keeps.
Half the world sings,
Half the world laughs,
Half the world brings,
Half the world tries to be the other half.
End.
Rape Of Europa
Zeus finds Europa playing with her hand––
handmaidens some say, pulling wool
over eyes of people who demand
that she be modest. As a bull,
Zeus comes to her, and she spreads wide her legs,
experiencing rapture she has not
experienced with her hand and begs
for more. They call this rape. What rot!
Inspired by Titian's “Rape of Europa” at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

Zeus
Zeus has a normal life
Two children and a loving wife
Yet he feels his days crappy
He never is really happy!
Zeus likes his wife on his side
And when the children on his shoulder ride
Yet he feels he’s missing something
In nothing of these he’s getting the zing!
Zeus’ head wants to remain rational
But down there pricks the monster carnal
Goading him to break free
Telling him ‘you are not happy’!
Zeus after a prolonged strife
Breaks the shackle blows the fife
Other women with madness he hounds
Crazed with the blindness this world abounds!
Zeus wakes up to the riddle at last
That happiness cannot come out of lust
It’s always there in a normal life
Two children and a loving wife!

Wide To Receive
Download something
Useful, or useless
Because Im lying here
Wide to receive
Almost anything
Youd care to give
And I dont
Get along with myself
And Im not too keen
On anyone else
Turn on, plug in
Then just walk away
Unlock, process
And then just go
And Ive never felt quite so alone
As I do right now
Im lying here
Wide to receive
Almost anything
Youd care to leave
Wide, wide, wide
Wide, wide, wide
Wide, wide
Wide, wide
Wide, wide, wide, wide
Wide, wide, wide, wide
Wide, wide, wide, wide

Two Fossil Flow'rs
Hast thou been enamored before Zeus?
were thee an aunt of grandma Medusa?
Was thy amor' beyond the ocean, thus?
A strong worker with his hydraulic press,
thy ancient chastity became his musa,
Hast thou been enamored before Zeus?
Were thee submitted to his solid bless?
before time thou appeared as Arethusa;
Was thy amor' beyond the ocean, thus?
Neanderthals were apt to just depress;
when thy wish was to abide in Syracusa;
Hast thou been enamored before Zeus?
Thy flock of boars value was to assess;
were thee in love with a robust bab'rusa
Was thy amor' beyond the ocean, thus?
Two fossil flow'rs decided to coalesce;
and thee reigned on glorious Lamp'dusa
Hast thou been enamored before Zeus?
Was thy amor' beyond the ocean, thus?

From purest wells of English undefiled
None deeper drank than he, the New World's child,
Who in the language of their farm-fields spoke
The wit and wisdom of New England folk,
Shaming a monstrous wrong. The world-wide laugh
Provoked thereby might well have shaken half
The walls of Slavery down, ere yet the ball
And mine of battle overthrew them all.

Emotional Subjection
There is no tyrant quite like feeling.
A bondage that cannot be released.
All we do will forever succumb to it.
Your suffering means that you're human.
Your mind is a warfield.
And your heart is the opposition.
No solution can truly be found.
Forever at war with yourself.
You will obey.
You will cry for it.
You will fall to your knees for it.
You will be numbed by it.
You will be reminded of it.
It cannot be neglected much longer.
Slavery is freedom.
Slavery is freedom.
Slavery is freedom.
Slavery is freedom.
You will obey.

Digging A Grave
It would be wrong to ask you why
Because I know what goes inside
Is only half of what comes out
Isn't that what it's about ?
To remind us we're alive
To remind us we're not blind
In that big, black hole
Comfortable
Digging the grave, I got it made
Let something in, or throw something out ?
You left the door open wide
I know you have a reason why
That knot is better left untied
I just went and undid mine
It takes some time
And the shadows so big
It takes the sun out of the day
And the feeling goes away
If you close the door
Comfortable

Angel
Unconditional love, that is what youve given to me
And I thank god, that you will always be right here with me
Even though were apart, you know that you will always
Have a place in my heart,
And if you call out my name
Ill be right there, so you dont have to cry alone
Like an angel Ill fly to you
With my arms open wide
So you dont have to cry no more
And with my wings open wide
Ill do what it takes
So you dont have to cry no more
Now dont be ashamed of saying
Of saying just how you feel
Take fear from inside
Open up your heart and say whats on your mind
cause youve shown me love with meaning, never were deceiving, for you
Im dedicated thats why Im celebrating our love, and if you call out my name
Ill be right there, so you dont have to cry alone
Like an angel Ill fly to you
With my arms open wide
So you dont have to cry no more
And with my wings open wide
Ill do what it takes
So you dont have to cry no more
Like an angel Ill fly, with my wings open wide
When you need me, so you just have to open your
Heart, so just open your heart and youll know from
The start that you dont have to cry no more
Like an angel Ill fly to you
With my arms open wide
So you dont have to cry no more
And with my wings open wide
Ill do what it takes
So you dont have to cry no more

If It Dont Take Two
It takes two to tango
And two lips to seal a kiss
But a flame and a candle
Wont burn on a night like this
If it dont take two
It takes two to go one way
And two winds to be strong enough
But you cant sail on a still day
Like two ships on a sea of love
If it dont take two
Noah knew what he had to do
Ooh oh yeah
He sent us out in the world walkin two by two
Oh...
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
And if Im not with you
No it aint worth goin through
If it dont take two
It takes two hearts with one beat
And it takes two to say I do
But the champagne wont taste sweet
And the dream just wont come true
If it dont take two
Noah knew what he had to do, oh yeah
He sent us out in the world walkin two by two, me and you
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
And if Im not with you
No it aint worth goin through
If it dont take two
He sent us out in the world walkin two by two
Me and you
Baby...
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
And if Im not with you
No it aint worth goin through
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
If it dont take two
And if Im not with you
No it aint worth goin through
If it dont take two

Love Potion
Chorus
I'll brew you a love potion
Even if it takes me five days
Five days would certainly be worth
All this pain you've secretly been giving me
But you didn't know it
End chorus
I'll wait for you by the fireside
Even if it takes me all night
All night would certainly be worth
Getting rid of this pain you've secretly been giving me
But you didn't know it
I'll brew you a love potion
Even if it takes me five days
Five days would certainly be worth
All this pain you've secretly been giving me
But you didn't know it
I'll sit with you, alone there
Sharing stories and trading laughs
Those laughs would all be worth
This pain you've secretly been giving me
But you didn't know it
I'll brew you a love potion
Even if it takes me five days
Five days would certainly be worth
All this pain you've secretly been giving me
But you didn't know it
Later on we'll sit there, old as dust
And you'll wish you could have willed me away
But I'll hold you close as we die
These days would certainly be worth
All this pain you've secretly been giving me
But you didn't know it
I'll brew you a love potion
Even if it takes me five days
Five days would certainly be worth
All this pain you've secretly been giving me
But you didn't know it
At the end of life I'll wish to bring
Those old days back from the dead
Relive them over and over again
When I brewed you that love potion
And it took me five days
Five days were certainly worth
All that pain you blasted me with
But you didn't know it
And now you know it
It's too late, you fell in love
You fell in love potion
Like the one I brewed for you
Mental Slavery
Around the globe
Mental slavery takes hold…
Be a relationship of not…
Is there always a secret plot…?
Don’t let your culture kill you…
People are variations of you…
Not copies…
You are no stranger…
No matter where you may go…
Be it Dutch land or Germany…
There are something’s which…
You share…
Name it…Claim it…
Left over in your mind…
Is a time standing still…
Eating at your will…
Subjugate your own rehab…
Free your inter-mind…
With your inner soul…
Slavery is alive and well…Done…
Like a rare steak…
Your order please…

Ballade: Legacy
Within a stalk of fennel hid,
Prometheus took fire for
some poor ancestral hominid,
infuriating Zeus in lore.
Our forbears lived by nature's law
and myth to truth is paradox,
yet when they cooked their food from raw,
they travelled paths unorthodox.
Zeus fashioned clay in counterbid,
first woman, cursed with moral flaw.
Pandora batted sweet eyelid,
Prometheus refused, wherefore
Zeus chained him, while an eagle tore
his liver flayed upon the rocks.
When Titan sought mankind's rapport,
he travelled paths unorthodox.
Zeus gave a jar and then forbid,
Pandora look into it's maw.
Of course, she peeked inside the lid
and helpless, watched the ills outpour.
Does hope remain for us in store?
the vessel, be it jar or box.
When prying led her to explore,
she travelled paths unorthodox.
Shall we live happy evermore?
our bodies shaped by boon and pox.
Will future beings add encore?
They travelled paths unorthodox.
