People aren't used to thinking of cultural forms spreading out across the full range of formal interactions - or what is called the ""text"" in literary terms.

I think it comes from really liking literary forms. Poetry is very beautiful, but the space on the page can be as affecting as where the text is. Like when Miles Davis doesn't play, it has a poignancy to it.

Most Of The So Called Literary Experts
Most of the so called literary experts are dismissive of rhyme
They say 'tis the poetry of a long gone time
Yet the poets that they laud the poems they do write
Cannot be put to music and are hard to read and recite
The rhymer of today is not looked on as a poet
Or is not seen as one worthy of literary note
By the so called literary experts with literary degrees
Though their judgement on what is or is not poetry not everyone does please
They never will convince the old style rhyme buff
To him or her well written rhyme is not throw away stuff
In well written rhyme are the words to a song
And good rhyming poetry to music belong
Yet the degreed literary experts who on poetry like to have their say
Dismiss rhyming poets and their poetry as of yesterday.

Not Your Type Of Town
It will never be known as a cultural town
Where footballers and macho men vie for renown
In the pub one once spoke of Rembrandt someone asked who is he
If he does play football his name is strange to me.
If you cannot talk of work, farming, politics or sports and join your pub mates in a beer
This not your sort of town what business have you here
Though if you like line dancing and Country music that might be your saving grace
For these are the most cultural things that are known to the place.
If you talk of Beethoven or Handel they might ask who are they
For they must not be famous never heard of them anyway
Those we most admire play cricket or football
These are the people that we wish to recall.
If you are literary minded or a poet at heart
Or if you are one who is interested in art
Then this is a town you ought not to live in
For here you may not meet with similar kin.

Words Are Like
Bricks of literary masonry
Stones of literary foundations
Clay of poetic and prosaic compositions
Matter of sculptural creations
Gems from heart of unfathomable beauty
Elements of mind's mines of rarity
Threads of gossamer weavings
Cement of strength and love reinforcements
Basis of all literary activities
Lights that dispel darkness of minds and hearts
Stars that fill the thinking galaxies
Fronds that clothe all vegetations
Miracles that allure minds that read
Magic those entertain and make people revel
Feelings of hearts painted in style

A Beauty of Love!
I enjoy beauty of star studded night sky;
I enjoy beauty of harmonious waves of sea;
I enjoy beauty of peaceful living of people;
I enjoy beauty of natural poems of poets!
Beauty of human life I enjoy in all forms;
Beauty of fun loving children I enjoy often;
Beauty of smiling flowers I enjoy in garden;
Beauty of art work I enjoy in all forms ever!
World is full of beauty Nature bestows to all;
World is paradise due to love and beauty ever;
World is the abode of man's cultural refinement;
World is the spring board to heaven at the end!
Beauty of love is eternal for all to enjoy in life
Evolving animal into man and man into divine!

Sunday Morning Blues
So what others may say
and she can hear them
thinking that or maybe
inside her head hear their
voices say as such as she
sits on the stone steps of
her apartment thinking of
him and his thoughtlessness
and sure it's what most
people think is the norm
guys being guys thing but
she can't help being saddened
by his forgetting it being their
fifth anniversary since the
first day they met at the gallery
looking at the modern art the
Mondrian's and Rothko's and
her favourite Lichtenstein's
and how he had been all over
her that day being all knowledge
and kindness and fussing over
the smallest detail and taking
her to that restaurant he knew
and the music he put on in his
classy apartment and how he'd
been quite the gentleman that
night not pressuring for sex no
expectation of anything except
her happiness and now sitting
watching the early morning slow
ride by of Sunday traffic and the
odd passing person and their
usual rest day greetings she feels
depressed that he has forgotten
that he has not called and breathing
in the morning air she wonders
now if he really ever did care or
maybe he's grown sick of her and
her wants and ways or has found
some other woman to love and
caress and kiss and take out and
maybe he's in some other woman's
place lying asleep lying body next
to body face to face and she hopes
maybe he'll ring or text or better
still come round with chocs and wine
and suggest they go and dine but
she'll not text or ring him to remind
or find out where he's gone or
whereabouts he slept the night
before no sir she mutters I'll not
lower myself to do as such full of
cares sitting on her apartment stairs.

Instincts
Thinking about human interactions and behavior
I believe that's why we may need scriptures and a savior
Learned components and expressions are ample
But predatory instincts are voiced daily by example
Our dominant motivational forces are aggression and sex
And they are often lurking in the shade and leave us perplex
Even if our genetic interrelations of instincts are hiding
I feel their forces within me and am most often abiding
I am saying that forces of instinctual drives are calling
And only my innate behavior gives me reason for stalling
The way I give in to you is it really a hereditary reaction
Or only me on an infinite quest for habitual satisfaction
I classify you as my genetically predetermined property
Triggering my prodigious instincts that brings out the real me
You really don't know that I feel constructivism and fear
Whenever there is a threat that's keeping you from being near
You provoke both my native and acquired forms of reaction
All combined result in an overwhelming and scary attraction
Around you I am not ever what propriety dictates at large
With you my survival and sexual love instincts are in charge
My instinct of acquisitiveness is the one coming out with you
But you think its curiosity and really don't have a clue
I fill a magazine with my life and emotions and load the gun
Aiming for you to embrace my love and consider us to be one
Thinking about our interactions and specific behavior
I truly believe that we will make it and I can be your savior
We learn together and our expressions are in sync for ever
Instincts or not what we have is real and something to treasure

On Their Own Terms
On their own terms,
People have a right to do and choose...
As they please.
This should not lead to an argument.
However...
When those terms and choices one chooses,
At the crossing over a threshold into someone's home...
Anyone believing they should be treated,
Based upon their own terms...
Should excuse themselves immediately.
Before they are asked to leave.
Thus making the keeping of their own terms,
An issue not needing to be debated.

People Action
PEOPLE ACT CRAZY
BUT THE TRUE TELLS
IF
THEY
AREN'T AROUND
THEM EVERYDAY
BUT IF YOU
KNOW THAT
PERSON IS FAKE AND NOT SERIOUS
AND IF THEY THINK THAT PERSON IS ALWAYS
THATS DOESN'T MEAN THEY
ACTUALLY LIKE OR LOVE AND
THEY DON'T HAVE TO PUT UP
WITH THE FACT THE PEOPLE AREN'T HAPPY.
THESE ACTS ARE CALLED
PEOPLE ACTION
PEOPLE ACTION
OUR ACTION ARE WHAT HURT PEOPLE THAT WE LOVE AND CARE ABOUT. DON'T LET THE PEOPLE ACTION EFFECT WHAT YOU FEEL ABOUT PEOPLE YOU CARE, LOVE, AND LIKE HURT THEM AND YOU.

Of Deceit and Honorable Hypocrisy!
People aren't just thrusted into the limelight,
For doing absolutely nothing.
They may be seen doing absolutely nothing noteworthy,
When they are actually there.
But to come from nowhere...
To then be everywhere?
With a hype unlike found under microscope,
Day and night!
To then proclaim...
An unawareness?
Not too many of us 'trip' like this!
And not to intentionally bring attention upon oneself?
Even lunatics can create better excuses.
People aren't just thrusted into the limelight,
For doing absolutely nothing.
That's been done too many times by those who create wars.
Those who stick their busy noses into places...
Then proclaim an innocence.
Like a child found with a mouthful of mints.
After being told too many times...
Lieing does not make sense!
When their misdeeds are exposed,
With a spreading of the evidence.
And pictures of them posing wickedly,
Smiling in front of unusually familiar...
Although conquered foreign doors.
Knowing they've been warned many times before.
People aren't just thrusted into the limelight,
For doing absolutely nothing.
Something done that they did or do,
Got them exactly what they wanted.
With the aid of those who empathize,
With lies reeking...
Of deceit and honorable hypocrisy!
