So then, the relationship of self to other is the complete realization that loving yourself is impossible without loving everything defined as other than yourself.

Heaven's Just A Prayer Away

Heaven's Just A Prayer Away - Dolly Parton
If you're trying to reach Heaven
you talk to Jesus, you talk to Him every day.
'Cause Jesus knows, He knows that you are coming
and Heaven's just a prayer away.
If you go, if you go to church on Sunday
you get down on your knees and pray
and give your heart and your soul to Jesus.
Heaven's just a prayer away.
You are just one prayer from Heaven
as you travel down life's highway.
Just when you think that you can't make it,
well, Heaven's just a prayer away.
Of, if you go, if you go to church on Sunday
you get down on your knees and pray
and give your heart and give your soul to Jesus.
Heaven's just a prayer away.
Heaven's just a prayer away.

(That's What You Get) For Lovin' Me

That's what you get for loving me
That's what you get for loving me
Everything we had is gone, you can see
That's what you get for loving me
Now don't you shed a tear for me
I ain't the love you thought I'd be
I've had a hundred just like you
But don't be blue I'll have a thousand before I'm through
That's what you get for loving me
That's what you get for loving me
Everything we had is gone, you can see
That's what you get for loving me
Now there you go, you're cryin' again
You should have known how things would end
But then some day when your poor heart is on the mend
I just might pass this way again
That's what you get for loving me
That's what you get for loving me
Everything we had is gone, you can see
That's what you get for loving me
That's what you get for loving me
That's what you get for loving me
Everything we had is gone, you can see
That's what you get for loving me

Ain't That Lovin' You Baby

I could ride around the world in an old oxcart
And never let another girl thrill my heart
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?
I could meet a hundred girls and have loads of fun
My huggin' and my kissin' belong to just one
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?
If you gave me nine lives like a tommy cat
I'd give 'em all to you and never take one back
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?
I'm putting on my Sunday suit and Im goin' downtown
But Ill be kissin' your lips before the sun goes down
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?

Down On My Knees

Sometimes you wonder
How much I care
I get so distracted running nowhere
And I take for granted
Our love is secure
But if I started losing you
One thing is sure
Id be down on my knees
Ready to pray
Darlin down on my knees
Making you stay
Id be beggin you please
Dont take your love from me
Id be down on my knees
I learned to be strong
A long time ago
And I can face any wind no matter how hard it blows
But Id have to be stronger than I want to be
If I had to live without you loving me
Id be down on my knees
Ready to pray
Darlin down on my knees
Making you stay
Id be beggin you please
Dont take your love from me
Id be down on my knees
No one matters more in my life
Makes me feel like you make me feel inside
Ive come far enough to know loves
Worth never letting go of
And love is not a matter of pride
Id be down on my knees
Ready to pray
Darlin down on my knees
Making you stay
Id be beggin you please
Dont take your love from me
Id be down on my knees

I Said A Prayer

Under the sun, under the moon
Under the sky midnight blue
Under the maple, under the roof
I got down on my knees and told the truth
I told Him I was tired of feeling lonely
And I could really use my one and only
Oh, oh, I said a prayer for you baby
And somehow it got through
Oh, oh, I said a prayer for you baby
Now look at you
Wasn't God feelin' good that day
Na na na na na na
I heard you praying for
Na na na na na na
I got more, so much more
Just down the street, just down the road
Walking along, how could you have known
It must have been strange that little burning in your soul
Sorry 'bout the lightnin' bolt
But I told him I was tired of being lonely
And I could really use my one and only
Oh, oh, I said a prayer for you baby
And somehow it got through
Oh, oh I said a prayer for you baby
Now look at you
Wasn't God feelin' good that day
I said a prayer for you . . .

This Is My Prayer For You

Peaceful valleys, mountaintops
No dark alleys, or sudden stops
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you
Love is calling, starry skies
Always falling, but not for lies
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you

Chorus:
May all your sweet dreams go unbroken
May every wish youve ever spoken
Come true
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you

Celebrations, true blue friends
Revelations, and a heart that mends
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you

Repeat chorus

Arms that welcome, doors opened wide
All your loved ones, gathered by your side
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you
May all your days be filled with laughter
May all your prayers be quickly answered
This is my prayer
This is my prayer for you

Mary, From Nazareth

Mary, innocent girl from Nazareth,
did you know that the Godly child you were carrying,
when you fell on your knees in prayer

with fear and pain that got more
when it seemed as if you were torn open,
did you know that He would bring salvation with pain

when before marriage you were pregnant against the law,
did you know that He would ask for help from His father?
Mary innocent girl from Nazareth,

did you know that nails would pierce His hands and feet,
that night there in the stable
when it seemed as if you were torn open,

did you know that He would not save himself from the cross,
without ever complaining about His destiny,
when you fell on your knees in prayer,

when you saw the bare situation,
when God himself came as a human
that night in the stable

and for a time your child was jolly and full of fun,
without anybody accusing Him then?
Mary, innocent girl from Nazareth,

as He was stripped from His omnipotence,
when you were caring for Him day by day,
when God himself came as a human,

carrying all the sin of this world
was He was dumfounded on the cross
when you fell on your knees in prayer?

When He told the priests in the temple about God
did fear go through you motherly heart,
when you were caring for Him day by day?

When they kept you away from your son,
when they were whipping Him,
Mary, innocent girl from Nazareth
when you fell on your knees in prayer

did you then see how He innocently was suffering
with fear and pain that got more,
did fear go through you motherly heart,
did you know that He would bring salvation with pain?

Lover's Prayer

For love
For life and eternity
This is my prayer

I pray that our love
Is more than enough
To weather the storm
I pray that you're strong
The nights that I'm gone
And you're home alone
I pray you'll forgive
Whateva I did
That brought you the tears
I pray here right now
As I make this vow
We last through the years

Lover's prayer
When I get down on my knees at night
Lover's prayer
I pray God we gonna be alright
Lover's prayer
With my head down and my hands up high
How I hope he will answer my
Lover's prayer

I pray that the sun
Continues to shine
With all that you do
No matter the bad
No matter how low
you'll make it through
I pray that I'm there
Whateve you want whateva you need
I pray that your heart
Carries apart

Going Down On Love

Got to get down, down on my knees
Got to get down, down on my knees
Going down on love
Going down on love
Going down, going down, going down
When the real thing goes wrong
And you cant get it on
And your love she has gone
And you got to carry on
And you shoot out the light
Aint coming home for the night
You know you got to, got to, got to pay the price
Somebody please, please help me
You know Im drowning in the sea of hatred
Got to get down, down on my knees
Got to get down, down on my knees
Going down on love
Going down on love
Going down, going down, going down
Something precious and rare
Disappears in thin air
And it seems so unfair
Nothing doin nowhere
Well you burn all your boats
And you sow your wild oats
Well you know, you know, you know the price is right!
Got to get down, down on my knees
Got to get down, down on my knees
Got to get down, down on my knees
Got to get down, down on my knees

The Loving

All around the world,
Every boy and every girl,
Need the loving.
The humble and the great,
Even those we think we hate,
Need the loving.
Soldiers of the queen,
All the hard men that weve seen,
Need the loving.
Babies at the breast,
Those in power and those suppressed,
Need the loving.
Lets face it you just cant hide,
Your first tastell send you reeling,
Like a firework to which were tied,
Be prepared to go through your ceiling now.
The lovings coming,
The lovings more than just an ad mans vision.
The lovings strumming,
On your heart strings,
So loud that you cant help but listen.
Sailors on the seas,
Or the clergy on their knees,
Need the loving.
All the rich and poor,
Even those we fight at war,
Need the loving.
That thing that we need most of,
That stuff we should try before weve died.
Everyone is begging to be loved,
With a free gift, a working heart inside.
The lovings coming,
The lovings advertised in all the papers.
The lovings humming,
Your favourite song,
For once it wont annoy the neighbours.
The loving, the loving.
All round the world,
Every boy and every girl,
Need the loving.
Cold-hearted or warm,
Every single person born,
Needs the loving.
Way out there in space,
Think well find that alien race,
Needs the loving.
And just to end the list,
Everything that could exist,
Needs the loving.
The lovings coming!

A Parent’s Prayer

A parent’s prayer is for safety
for their daughter or son
who maybe called away to war.
A prayer to bring them back again
alive and well
and not a casualty of war,
bring them back to their loving home
to see their children grow
and not in a wooden box
never to be seen again.
A prayer for someone
to watch over their daughter or son
and keep them out of harms way;
so that they will never receive
the message that parents dread,
that their loved one is dead.

A Wealth of Apologies

I am sorry
I couldn’t make you weak at the knees
I couldn’t say the right words
I couldn’t offer you what you wished
I couldn’t make you blush
I couldn’t make you think of me
I am sorry
I’m not the man you desire
I’m not better and stronger than I appear
I’m not exciting but predictable
I’m not good looking or confident
I’m not anything other than a friend
I am sorry
That I let my heart ramble on
That I talk incessantly about nothing
That I feel jealous and stupid
That I am unable to win your heart
That I am sat here alone
I am sorry
For loving your smile and eyes
For loving the things you do
For loving you to a distraction
For loving your laugh
For loving you as I now do
I am sorry
Please be gentle to me
Please feel enough for me
Please ease my lonely heart
Please say those words
Please forgive me
I am sorry

Knees Of My Heart

Knees of my heart
By: jimmy buffett, michael utley, will jennings
1984
Ive got a question for you
Please grant me an interview
Dont want to read it in a magazine
Dont want to see it on the silver screen
Dont let the craziness tear us apart
Im down on the knees of my heart
Down here on the knees of my heart
This comes from deep in my soul
Your sweet love has taken control
Ill swim across the ocean if you tell me so
Take you to the jump up if you want to go
Its never-y too late to make a brand new start
Im down here on the knees of my heart
Down here on the knees of my heart
Whoa how I will sing
If you give me everything
I live for the day
When theres nothing in our way
I will be waiting tonight
Youll find my boat by the light
Im gonna show you what my love can do
Out on the ocean all alone with you
Well find a desert island on an ancient chart
Take me from the knees of my heart
Take me from the knees of my heart
Take me from the knees of my heart
Take me from the knees of my heart
Take me from the knees of my heart
Whoa oh oh take me from the knees of my heart
Please take me from the knees of my heart
Whoa oh oh take me from the knees of my heart
Uh buh puh buh puh buh puh
Please from the knees of my heart
Whoa oh oh

Baby I Need Your Loving

Baby, I need your loving
Baby, I need your loving
Although you're never near
Your voice I often hear
Another day, another night
I long to hold you tight
'cause I'm so lonely
Baby, I need your loving
Got to have all your loving
Baby, I need your loving
Got to have all your loving
Some say it's a sign of weakness
For a man to beg
Then weak I'd rather be
If it means having you to keep
'cause lately I've been losing sleep
Baby, I need your loving
Got to have all your loving
Baby, I need your loving
Got to have all your loving
Empty nights echo your name
Sometimes I wonder will I ever be the same?
Oh yeah!
When you see me smile
You know things have gotten worse
Any smile you might see, darling
Has all been rehearsed
Darling, I can't go on living without you
This emptiness won't let me live without you
Loneliness inside me, baby
Makes me feel half alive
Baby, I need your loving
Got to have all your loving
Baby, I need your loving
Got to have all your loving
