I have deep emotions about the American people. If I were to cry for anything, I would cry for them and the policies that they're about to face.

I'm absolutely convinced of that. Israel is the representative of the United States in that part of the world. Its policies are so integrated with American policies that they use the same language.

American Child
I was ten, I was thin,
I was playing first base
With a secondhand glove
And dirt on my face
In nowhere, Virginia
Who'd ever figure that kid in the yard
Would go very far
It was 419 Lakewood ,
had no silverspoons
Just an old beat up upright
that played out of tune
Now I'm singin' and living the life that I love
And when I count my blessings
I thank God I was an American child
An American child
'Cause dreams can grow wild
Born inside an American child
Seven pounds, three ounces,
She's got my nose
And she's into my heart as deep as it goes
With a promise that's more
Than just someone's last name
Anyone's equal, in late August came
An American child
An American child
'Cause dreams can grow wild
Born inside an American child
My grandfather would have been eighty today
But in '45 he fell down beside
An American child
An American child
Oh, an American child
'Cause dreams can grow wild born inside
An American child

If they understand, which I believe they really are sensing, that the alternative the Republicans have been offering is to repeal what we've done, to go back to Bush policies - and if you asked the public what would you prefer, Bush economic policies or Obama economic policies, they take and prefer Obama economic policies.

It is day after day in this institution, borrow money, run up the debt, run up the deficits and then with a straight face say, we are going to repeal a tax that affects 1 percent of the American people, just 1 percent of the American people.

0095 The title of this poem comes at the end
If you’ve read
136 poems
by one poet
in, uh, an hour plus,
which is a stupid thing to do
normally
to any poet
and insulting
if you think that way
at least when you do this
you get an aftertaste
of a sort – you get
tired beyond boredom, or
the guy has only three things to say
again and again or
he’s posing as a poet or
subtly unloading his negativity
or his hatred for life or
exploiting your emotions or
even more subtly pleading
for your sympathy
but no
I don’t feel any of these things right now
I just feel
a huge huge love which
somehow isn’t
just focussed on you and
I’ve even tried to set against this
cold lit-crit sorta thoughts
but no
I see you as a man
who looked the ordinary
in the face
and didn’t want to alter it and
asked nothing of it but was
contented in a way
beyond definition that
I can understand
would piss off anyone
with ambition or
so-called American values
although many of your poems
are the stuff of ordinary Americans
in the bar chatting about life
over a beer in B movies
but I’m thinking that maybe
this is the way God sees the world –
‘this is what you’ve made
of what I gave you and
so be it’
I’m a little scared too
that if I met you face to face
unexpectedly with that
wise beat-up face like a
thoughtful ape I might
recoil or something
and be ashamed afterwards
but I hope not
I just hope that
somewhere deep down
you loved yourself
as much as so many people
and you can read them here
love you
for real
and as is
the title of this poem is
A Homage to Charles Bukowski

American Pride
(Throughout the singing of this song there is continuous
background of announcements about 9-11 incident by
goverment leaders and announcers)
American pride something you feel inside
Something you can't describe American pride.
Dad said, Son I'm proud you won
But the game is more than any toy
Mama said, Now Son say sir and say ma'am
And be proud you're southern born
You play when you're hurt and you work when you're tired
'Cause that was Grandpa's way
And the biscuits are better at Granny's house
And the gravy taste great all day.
American pride yes it is something you feel inside
Something you can't describe, something you cannot hide
American pride something you feel inside
Traditions run deep and wide with American pride.
When a baby is born we all celebrate
With tears of joy in family eyes
'Cause we all know the baby
Will grow up with American pride
Yeah. we work and we play and we have our own ways
And we don't all look alike
But if the cause is right we stand up and fight
To protect our American pride.
Sing it, sing it, sing it.
American pride yes it is something you feel inside
It's something you can't describe,
Yt's something you can't hide
American pride, something you feel inside
Traditions run deep and wide with American pride.
With American pride, it's American pride...

Charity and good deeds
Make charity
Make good deeds
For the common people
My poems are for the common people
Common people have emotions
I am a poet and
I look after the emotions
Emotions follow actions
This world is full of action
Action with devotion
Gives a man perfection
And a perfect man is
His best creation.

I believe that the American administration of Iraq has been arrogant, has pursued policies that are illegal in international law and has been ignorant and incompetent. I said this very forthrightly to the senators.
I am particularly disturbed that our country is the largest financial supporter of an organization that not only wastes a lot of our money but also seems to be increasingly anti-American in its policies and conduct.

The Poets Pride 12/06/08
you have put pride in my heart and love in my soul
letting out emotions that i can't control
if my poems have inspired you to be the very best
then my poems have been put to the test.
for deep inside everyone-there is a voice that
wants to be heard.
just like the singing of a mocking bird.
this voice comes from deep within
and like the bird it wants to sing.
if people were to listen to the feelings locked up inside
they would not have anything to hide.
for through our words we are set free.
of all our worries and despairs
and wipes away all our cares.
even if it is for a short while, we become like the
bird flying high in the sky.
we leave the aches and pains on the ground below
and release all emotions that we know.
as we come back to the realities that we left behind
the burdens have dissappeared and a sense
of well being fills our hearts.
to give us a brand new start.
this is the poets pride-and i am happy to say
it has affected people in many a way.

Hang On To Your Emotions
When your imagination has too much to say
When the chill of the night meets the sweat of the day
And you have trouble understanding what other people have to say
Youd better
Hang on to your emotions, hang on to your emotions
When a demagogue inside your head has taken charge
And by default what you say or do is criticized
And this litany of failures is recited a thousand times
Youd better
Hang on to your emotions, hang on to your emotions
Could it be youve never felt like that
That your minds a cage - inside the cage a cat
That spits and scratches all it can get at
And thats you, and your emotions
Could it be youve never felt like that
Your minds a cage - inside the cage a rat
Rabidly trying to get it, you
And your emotions, you and your emotions
When your imagination has too much to say
When that facile voice inside your head says give your life away
You might think to ask - how it got that way
What books it has read - that make it that way
And where it got the right - to speak to anyone that way
Youd better
Hold on to your emotions, hold on to your emotions
When a night citys breeze blows across the room
And a 5 am moon and sun start their swoon
You hear your lovers breath
And not a moment too soon
You get to
Release all your emotions, you get to
Let go of your emotions, and now
Release all your emotions, youd better
Let go of your emotions
Release, I wanna let go
I wanna release, now
