The role of Italy and of Austria has diminished as has that of France and Britain; Germany and Japan have suffered catastrophically.

For Britain Only

We blasted Glasgow
Invaded France
Assaulted Sweden
Took down our pants
And lovely England
My little kitten
Deliriously
Black widow Bitten
For Britain only
Only for Britain, yeah
For Britain only
Only for Britain
Jumped on the concord
Ain't much for sittin'
I told my boys, now
No public spiting
No bar room fighting
No bad head splitting
Behave yourself 'cause we're, we're back in Britain
For Britain only
Only for Britain
Cost six years of time and space
It took so long to change his face
To redesign his streamline face
Now strong and sleek but still no taste
Guilty
I'm guilty
Won't go to Hungary
Iran is out
Welcome to Moscow, huh
I have my doubts
Can't get near Libya
That boy's insane
Let's head for London
Where we can scream again
For Britain only
Only for Britain, yeah
For Britain only
Only for Britain
For Britain only

Blue, White And Red.

Menasheh and Ephraim were the children of Yahseph,
But Reuben was a brother to Yahseph;
So Menasheh and Ephraim were the nephews of Reuben,
And Reuben was their uncle!
Get wisdom and learn from this poem,
For today Reuben is France;
And Menasheh is Britain while,
Ephraim is the U.S.A.!
They are all with the colours blue, white and red in their National Flags;
But Yaaqob (Israyl) was the main root for the this tree.
They captured Germany after the Second World War and,
Divided West Germany (BRD) into three zones;
With Russia taking East Germany (DDR) to thier advantage!
So do get wisdom from this poem;
For this earth is the place of leraning.

Walt Whitman

This Moment, Yearning And Thoughtful

THIS moment yearning and thoughtful, sitting alone,
It seems to me there are other men in other lands, yearning and
thoughtful;
It seems to me I can look over and behold them, in Germany, Italy,
France, Spain--or far, far away, in China, or in Russia or
India--talking other dialects;
And it seems to me if I could know those men, I should become
attached to them, as I do to men in my own lands;
O I know we should be brethren and lovers,
I know I should be happy with them.

Appeasement For Adolf Hitler

The price of peace
appeasement
appeasing Adolf Hitler
will never work.

Was Neville Chamberlain
falling on his held sword
stalling an act to buy time;
or naive guillible ready...
to buy peace at any cost?

The British Prime Minister
left Munich believing
that in appeasing Hitler;
“he had assured
'peace for our time'”?

Both Britain and France
pursued a foreign policy
of political appeasement;
in their desperate hope
that Hitler would not drag
Europe into a new world war.

What was appeasement?

Appeasement expressed
a consensus widespread
collective British desire;
to heal the horrific wounds
of raw recent World War I.

Appeasement expressed
a consensus widespread
collective British desire;
to correct what many
British officials regarded;
as the injustices of
punitive reparations;
in the Versailles Treaty.

Remember their were
officials who regarded
a powerful Germany;
as a necessary desirable
bulwark against communism;
a feared rising Soviet Union.

Heartbreaking growing anxiety;
“horrible, fantastic, incredible”
digging trenches trying on gas
masks because of a quarrel;
in a far-away foreign country

“between people of whom
we know nothing. It seems
still more impossible that
a quarrel which has already
been settled in principle

should be the subject of war.”

Almost overwhelming fear
a dark gloomy oppression
afflicted some Europeans;
as realities grim spectre a new
modern devastating war loomed.

Over 20,0000 letters telegrams
had arrived at No.10, Downing
Street since Neville Chamberlain;
had gone to Berchtesgaden mostly
British mothers sisters but letters;
also from France, Belgium, Italy,

even Germany. Alas too soon, such
letters reveal an intense relief thinking
danger of war was appeasement past.

Was Neville Chamberlain
falling on his sacrifice sword
stalling; an act to buy time...
to prepare Britain for war?

The emergency had cast an intense light
upon British preparations for defense;
on their strength weakness. Chamberlain
ordered an immediate inquiry into all;
preparations, military civil, to strengthen
deficiencies in the shortest possible time.

During those remaining hectic days an
awakening Britain prepared for Hitler.

Beautiful Port Fairy

The air is so clean of pollution 'tis free
In Port Fairy the beautiful Town by the sea
With little development it's old charm it retain
You visit it once you will come back again.

They have a huge music festival there once a year
And to it music lovers come from far and near
Musicians from every Land entertain on every street
For three days Port Fairy the place where all cultures do meet.

From Britain and Ireland and Italy and France
The lovers of culture they sing and they dance
Musicians from Africa, Germany, Brazil and Spain
Arrive for the big weekend come sunshine or rain.

Of beautiful Port Fairy 'twould be fair to say
That Utopia from it cannot be far away
It's beautiful beaches the clean ocean air
So few places with it can hope to compare.

The Norfolk pine trees there five or six decades old
One might say a beautiful sight to behold
Just part of Port Fairy's charm and it does seem to me
That Utopia is near to this Town by the sea.
