A man only becomes wise when he begins to calculate the approximate depth of his ignorance.

Zero

All of everything begins from zero!
And yet some will say that would be one!
And if 'one' is where everything begins,
Why is there a zero...
From which all beginnings,
That has begun to be as we know it is?
Before number one,
A zero appears!
And no one can calculate...
Without a zero appearing there in wait!
Remove the zero,
And there is nothing to debate!

Hillary Clinton

I think that we have to be constantly asking ourselves, 'How do we calculate the risk?' And sometimes we don't calculate it correctly; we either overstate it or understate it.

Licensed

Just how ignorant can a deepened ignorance be?
Can it be leased?
Or sold as one's property?
If one is to sell their's...
In today's economy,
Will they become considered as wise?
Becoming wealthy,
To discover they have been despised.
Will those marketing common ignorance,
Be recognized at all?
Since there is currently a surplus of it...
And those who are certified and licensed,
Can not prove their ignorance is truly authentic!

Blinking Like Ferrets

I've been too busy
the last two years to chat
with anyone in the office.
Today, however, I pause
at the pencil sharpener
while my co-workers
calculate and jot.
It makes no difference, you see,
if I remain silent until retirement
or if suddenly I start talking again.

All we must remember is
that we decay together,
that this charade
we give ourselves to
doesn't require that we speak,
that all we must do, really,
is calculate and jot.

If we calculate well,
if we jot well, the charade
will carry us through.
In the end, we'll see what is true
when blinking like ferrets
we emerge in sunlight,
gaping and gasping,
free of this maze created
by the family of man.

Known By Many To Protect And Defend

It is difficult not to mention...
The depth and limitation of an ignorance.
Known by many to protect and defend.
Since if it is spoken against...
There are those who have been convinced,
Doing so is negative and has an evil intent.

And the ones condoning the presence of it,
Are employed to teach ignorance is accepted.
With a destroying of those who could influence,
A beneficial use of acquiring an intelligence...
That promises to become cost effective.
And at a savings done at one's expense.

realization of our own
ignorance prejudices

begins our long walk

hate bitterness

Beneficial

The benefits accompany the man who wins,
Problems of sleep calculate me and his worries.
May I learn in ways too important, too wise,
That returns appear and exercise - too wise.
May winning benefit me rather than him,
Victory worked according to heaven.
Fleeing from the site is evil and winning,
But winning does not come or reappear.
Those men who win shall overpower the enemy
In the correct form, in the absolute manner.
This is to win, this is to prosper,
Another triumph brings joy and happiness.

A Gift Given By A Friend With Benefits

Those of intelligence,
Are rarely self obsessed with it.
It is something possessed,
Not to boast about to impress.
Or can they be discovered,
In confession professing this.

But those acknowledging others,
Who are declared to be wise...
Seem always there ready to test,
With a quick display of their best ignorance.

And...
Successful they are in the doing to convince,
Just how valued for them a keeping of ignorance is.
As if it is a gift given by a friend with benefits.

Since It Is The First Of August

The first of the month seems so promising,
Doesn't it?
An elevation of expectations begins.

And today,
Since it is the first of August...
There is a sense of a renewed committment to life,
Clinging onto the atmosphere.
It is as if the 'spirits' are granting us all,
Extra wishes!
Like the road of happiness is being cleared of debris.

The first of the month seems so promising,
Doesn't it?
An elevation of expectations begins.

Why do conflicts seem foolish to digest?
And all this talk about one's color and brain size...
Exposes the best of professed ignorance.
Making less sense to comprehend.
Isn't it ignorance that creates conflict?

Well...
It is the first day of August.
And soon Fall will remind us all,
Of the approaching holidays that will again amaze,
Our sentiments.
With no other requirements from us but to just exist!

The Long Division

Did somebody try to catch your eye
And almost change your sad expression?
Did somebodys hand linger too long?
Must I now make my confession?
But youll never know
What suspicion is
Until you lie awake
And every night you ask yourself
What am I to do?
Can it be so hard to calculate?
When three goes into two
Theres nothing left over
Hows it gonna feel? this time its real
Its not a temporary fracture
This is what you get, the stage is set
For you and your attempted rapture
Is he gonna smile
That indulgent smile
When you come running home?
And every night you ask yourself,
What am I to do?
Can it be so hard to calculate?
When three goes into two
Theres nothing left over
What am I gonna say? you turn away
And you leave me here despairing
What am I going to do? I look at you
You seem to be so long past caring
Did somebody say,
Can we still be friends?
Only to find out now that its a joke
So ask yourself,
What am I to do?
Can it be so hard to calculate?
When three goes into two
Theres nothing left over
Did somebody say,
Can we still be friends?
Did somebody say,
Can we still be friends?
Did somebody say,
Can we still be friends?
Did somebody say,
Can we still be friends?
Did somebody say,
Can we still be friends?
Did somebody say,
Can we still be friends?

It Is Best To Be Prepared

Just because a mouth is constantly open...
Doesn't mean expectations should be raised,
That anything worthwhile comes out of it.
Would you trust one known to gossip...
With a secret,
You wished not have publicly exist?
Think about it!
Would you rely on someone,
Who has never committed to anything done?
But sit,
To give unsolicited opinions...
As if,
They have knowledge or wisdom you had not witnessed.

When someone like this gives you advice...
Don't be disrespectful by not listening.
Since you never know what is being said...
Will make you think about it more than twice.
Remember...
If you can tolerate BS?
Anything is possible.
Even a confession of ignorance.

I've done it!
And it is refreshing to become 'humblized'!
A process called 'growth' begins.

Just because a mouth is constantly open...
Doesn't mean expectations should be raised,
That anything worthwhile comes out of it.

But then again...
Never lower 'your' expectations,
That something coming out of a mouth like this...
Has not been visited by a thought process.
Connecting one day to make sense!
And you were blessed to have been made a gift of it!
The eyes and ears take over,
When the mouth is closed.
With observation and listening enhanced.

It is best to be prepared...
Anytime, any place, from anyone and anywhere!
Even birds don't fly seeking just a tree to land on.
Nor does wisdom exclusively come from those considered wise!

And 'that' took me a long time to realize,
My depth of comprehension...
Kept adding unto my understanding.
And at times my patience and tolerance I question.

Mental Arithmetic

Twice two is four twice four is eight.
I do not need to calculate.
I learnt my tables long ago.
I need not think because I know.
The check out girls rely on tills
because they do not have the skills
Which I was taught in junior school.
They’ve always been a useful tool.
Without the till they would be lost
they cannot calculate the cost
of groceries I want to buy.
I think I know the reason why.
They don’t learn tables any more
and consequently can’t keep score.

One Disturbed

Seeking an attention,
By the use of offensive means...
Teaches not a thing,
To one disturbed...
By mental dysfunctions.

An ignorance like this has been fostered.
An ignorance has been allowed to flourish.
An ignorance that grows becomes expensive.
Since an ignorance bestows,
A flowing of it that becomes out of control!

Early Works - What Is The Depth Of A Man

What is the depth of a man,
what makes him courageous
in front of mortal fears
or walk straight and tall
when his eyes are blinded with tears?

What is the depth of a man
what gives him the spark
deep in his heart
to do good
when only evil surrounds him.

What is the depth of a man
that can’t be conquered
is it the love of a woman
is it loyalty
or is it the belief that each man should be free.
What is the depth of a man?

Dangerous Journey

To become fully awakened,
By consciousness...
Is a dangerous journey,
For anyone who begins their first steps...
Through the valley slick with pits,
Of ignorance.
And adorned with gleaming temptations.

It is less difficult,
If one's eyes were obstructed by blindness.
Than to have mind and eyes wide open.

Seen with unbelievable clarity...
Is everyone known and familiar,
Participating with wild abandonment.
And some thought to have been conscious.

And tested...
Will be one's faith, integrity and any held belief,
One's footsteps are placed with assured identity!

To become fully awakened,
By consciousness...
Is a dangerous journey,
For anyone who begins their first steps...
Through the valley slick with pits,
Of ignorance.
Since turning away from it to go back,
Is not an option!
And everything once accepted in the past...
Becomes examined, questioned and scrutinized.
As if never seen or known before!
That's what a full awakening does.

Finally she asks if I am sick and dying

How can I answer her?
Everybody is dying
From the moment one is born
He begins to count his steps to his grave
He begins to save money for his funeral
What makes him sick
Is the belief that he is healthy and wise
He will not die someday like the rest

To think that one is not sick
Is sickening enough
Not to think about death
That It comes anytime
Anywhere
Is sickening enough.
