Theater is the most enriching and thrilling thing to do as an actor. It trumps movies and all that other stuff. We do play to our audience. It's very important. You can't create music in a vacuum.
There is nothing to compare with the instantaneous feedback a singer gets from the people sitting in front of him. That is where it all comes together - all the rehearsing and working to get everything just exactly right.

Why aren't you dancing under the spotlight?
Why not dazzle the audience,
