No man, who continues to add something to the material, intellectual and moral well-being of the place in which he lives, is left long without proper reward.

Living In The Material World
Im living in the material world
Living in the material world
Cant say what Im doing here
But I hope to see much clearer,
After living in the material world
I got born into the material world
Getting worn out in the material world
Use my body like a car,
Taking me both near and far
Met my friends all in the material world
Met them all there in the material world
John and paul here in the material world
Though we started out quite poor
We got richie on a tour
Got caught up in the material world
From the spiritual sky,
Such sweet memories have i
To the spiritual sky
How I pray
Yes I pray
That I wont get lost
Or go astray
As Im fated for the material world
Get frustrated in the material world
Senses never gratified
Only swelling like a tide
That could drown me in the
Material world
From the spiritual sky,
Such sweet memories have i
To the spiritual sky
How I pray
Yes I pray
That I wont get lost
Or go astray
While Im living in the material world
Not much giving in the material world
Got a lot of work to do
Try to get a message through
And get back out of this material world
Im living in the material world
Living in the material world
I hope to get out of this place
By the lord sri krsnas grace
My salvation from the material world
Big ending

The Creation of a Single Composition
It has been said, poetry is nothing more that placing
The proper word in its proper place.
How simply stated for the effort of a single composition!
Beneath the primeval of our subconscious mind
Lies the clay-material of all creation,
The strata of spiritual sedimentation,
Laid down before our birth.
From this wet plastic matter comes the substance
Of our imagination, the foundation
For the architecture of our reflections.
Sculpting images by the vocabulary used,
The writer cast, molds and shapes
The verbs and nouns into their final stage
Of fluid acquiescence.
Thus, the poet, by placing each word
Into its proper place, gives power, vision and speech
To every inaimate object;
Translating the infinite invisible,
Into sacred symbols,
From the potter's mind of thought.

Those Comforts Of Home
They like so many,
Claim to enjoy those comforts of home.
But participating in keeping it that way...
Often leads to complaints,
Of chores left undone.
And who should play that role...
Of comfort provider?
And who is not up to meeting standards,
Left and needing regular dusting.
Unless,
One lives alone.
And only then where things are thrown...
Do they find their proper place!

When You Got In
I Went Out
Such Is The Wrong Timing
Of Your
Compassion
Then We Talk
About The Proper Timing
Of Our Desires
You Set The Time, The Place, And The Mood
Now It Is Not Just Desire But
Love
Yes, Love,
But Sometimes I Still Wonder
What Love Is
When Two People Meet At The Proper Time
The Proper Place, And The Proper Mood
When Everything Seems Right
And Yet
Feels So Wrong
When Everything Is Supposedly Proper
And Yet
There Is Still This
Feeling Of Impropriety
I Am 48 Years Old And You Are 49
And I Am Just Asking
When We All Want To Be Inside The Room Of
Ecstacy
And Yet
They All Want Us
Out
Just Because They Also Feel
That The Timing May Be Right
But It Simply Does Not
Look All Right
And Then You Are A Little
Bit Irritated And You Ask
Finally

What More Could You Want
Emasculated and beaten the shell withdraws to a corner.
Nothing left to give no will to survive.
Battered and pained no wish to be alive.
Slowly the torture continues as you sit by,
With outstretched hands you await your reward.
The rape of a soul was not enough,
Killing a spirit was your goal.
On a platter to you a heart was delivered,
In hopes it would be cherished not torn apart.
Another fatal wound and innocence dies.
Stabbing, ripping the heart from its cavity.
The lies cut deep as the last remnant of life,
Splatters red with pained agony…and you collect your reward.
A trail of despair you’ve left in your wake.
The stench of greed follows your corrupt mind.
Despair…sucking the life from a body trying to cope.
Death’s…waiting ‘cause there’s really no hope.
And greed becomes you.

Worthless Money
Whether ink on paper that buys things
Or computer wealth Wall Street brings,
Money is not worth the homage given
By wasted lives so sadly driven.
The few moments each has on earth
Only create real worth
If a difference can be left behind
For a better world to find.
Ink on paper or computer deals
Care not for how a human feels.
As it continues to accumulate
It infects hosts with greed and hate.
But love, true love for fellow man
Will accomplish more than mere money can.
Material things are built, and soon are gone.
But love is the difference that will live on.

An Educated Crocodile Is Still A Crocodile
Rabbit
with a habit
lived in a hole
next to Vole.
And his habit was his link with the beginning of it all
and kept him looking different
from his neighbour, Vole.
So they laid a proper treat on,
washed his face and brushed his hair;
and they took him off to Eton
to be educated there.
There, they dressed him in a boater,
smart black jacket, white bow-tie;
and then they took his photo,
just to please his Auntie Vye.
And they fed him on cucumbers,
Wordsworth, Byron, Shelley, Keats.
And they taught him compound numbers
and such intellectual treats.
He learned to say, 'What rot! '
And would ask 'How do you do? '
So they popped him in a pot,
part of a rabbit and rhubarb stew!
