The intellectual is constantly betrayed by his vanity. Godlike he blandly assumes that he can express everything in words whereas the things one loves, lives, and dies for are not, in the last analysis completely expressible in words.

Words Sometimes Take On A Own Meaning
Words sometimes take on a own meaning
and sometimes they are sharp and painful
as if there is much more to words
as if a kind of secret knowledge hides in them
that are sometimes something moving.
Words sometimes take on a own meaning
but somehow words can at times miss things
and are sometimes dependent on feelings
as if there is much more to words
when through it all love brings a kind of bonding
and so you and I are attractive to each other.
Words sometimes take on a own meaning
and daily a bond develops between us,
while you become more considerable to me,
as if there is much more to words
you constantly live in my thoughts,
while love becomes real through words.
Words sometimes take on a own meaning
as if there is much more to words…

Words
How often do words get in the way,
And not express things we want to say?
Once spoken, words can't be reclaimed
So be careful where they're aimed.
Words can be fired like a gun;
Their poor aim can wound anyone.
Words can seed love as well as kill it.
They can drain a heart empty… or fill it.
All too often words are said
With no thought of their impact ahead.

Last Words Of A Poet
The last words that I ever say
will just be words that fade away
after my loves are gone.
For they are the only ones who knew
how these words that I did speak
would leave as all words do.
But still I will say them with grateful praise
so my loves will remember all their days
my joy on each new dawn.
For they were the ones whose eyes did see
all of the words I wrote
and left for them joyfully.

Vanity, Vanity
Vanity, Vanity, all is vanity; words expressed to you and me,
All our labors, here on earth, and what ultimately is its worth?
All men are born to just die, a common destiny for you and I,
And all this life is meaningless, words Solomon uttered to us.
The wisest man to ever live, parting words that he would give,
To all of the people of his age, recorded on Scripture’s page,
And even for our age to read; words of wisdom we can heed,
As we reflect, also, on our life, in the blessings and the strife.
He speaks of life upon earth, through to death, from his birth,
Of all the events in between, as we are in this temporal scene,
And just how empty it can be, when peoples discount eternity,
And that lasting Hope, God gives, to every soul that still lives.
Friend, Ecclesiastes is the book, if one desires to take a look,
At other things Solomon said; wisdom, many souls have read,
While he draws conclusions to, life lived daily, by me and you,
On the planet, of God’s Design, Who changes not, in our time.
With everything Solomon knew, what is a conclusion he drew?
In all times consider The Creator, this world’s Lord and Savior,
Fear God and keep His Law, as He alone, can save one’s soul,
And use your life to glorify, The Lord God, Who reigns on high.

Betrayed
Betrayed by the one who says she loves you
By the one who says she needs you
Above all other men
Betrayed by her fragile, vicious beauty
Her father did his duty
And I lie down betrayed
Justice taught her confidence
Her mother was like steel
Her cousins, theyre all convicts
She alone rose above that wheel
But a motorcyclist no matter how good
Is slave to the oncoming truck
And the poison of her father was
Her most pitiless luck
Betrayed by the one who says she loves you
By the one who says she needs you
Above all other men
Betrayed by her fragile, vicious beauty
Her father did his duty
And I lie down betrayed
Three of us lie in this bed
Night of infamy
One of us lies on our back
Her fathers in her head
And quick she turns and slaps my face
And with her eyes open wide she screams
I hate you, I hate you, I hate you
But shes looking right past me
Betrayed by the one who says she loves you
By the one who says that she needs you
Above all other men
Betrayed by her fragile, vicious beauty
Her father did his duty
And I lie down betrayed
And I lie down betrayed
I lie down betrayed

Fake Makers
There are some of us who have a right to be outrageous!
And completely crazed by lives lived chasing materialistic dreams.
Trying to express a happiness by the acquisition of things...
Brings heartbreak and remorse.
And of course...
A dose of suffering.
Then someone comes along whistling and singing a happy song.
Someone who could have been suppressed but isn't!
Someone who tells the truth and isn't fazed at all by the telling of it.
Someone whose eyes dance and sparkle with sanity.
'SANITY? '
Yep!
And no one has ever seen anyone like him before.
No one ever dreamed or could expect.
'Just words!
And the use of them,
Can eliminate your burdens...
And stop them from riding on your back again!
'Just words' he says.'
Pumping the idea of change into our heads.
Raising minds to a higher consciousness instead.
Beyond racist divisions and those committed to deceit!
Those who kept us with beliefs...
We need to remain,
Living lives self destructing on urban streets!
'Just words', He says. 'Just words! ', He repeats.
And what an economic mistake that has been!
Not to mention the stress on a mindset oppressed...
By the fake makers who say they protect the American Dream.
With 'words' it seems.
While poisoning all the slices of grandma's apple pie.
And exposing fresh schemes to keep everyone optimistic.
And with each piece of decadence served...
There are those first tempted to taste to ease the tease.
Believing this they deserve.
However...
It is recommended one 'sees' it for what it is!
But it is suggested one is better off,
If what is seen is left alone for something genuine!

~Wordless~
Words protecting words,
Sealing thoughts within a symbol
or a warning......
Arrogance assumes
words won't sink
a little deeper in memory,
than in a copyright.
For once released
words become everyones,
Free to fly into and within
our choice to read.

Words
Words are my weapon
words are my shield
Guns and knifes just ruin lives
so words I keep concealed
Words are all I have here
they help me struggle on
Words are here forever,
when all I have is gone
In my thoughts or in my poems
Words will help ease my brain
I write down what is on my mind
Expressing love or feeling pain
Not that many I can trust
But words I can depend
Words wont turn there back on you
Words are my only friend

Last Words
Words that stick in our minds
we all wonder what the last ones will be
romantic to a lover final goodbye
a fighter gasping to fight till the end
a loner uttering a change to late
a prisoner express his hatred past
words that touch, some that hurt
but to some we don't hear their words
instead we see the tears and anguish in their eyes
there were some great lives, some bad ones
the ones that are missed are lost souls
flowing in time for us to catch and hear
their last words
it's hard to remember those anguish words
tears and cries hide those words
remember those words bad or good
it's the last time you'll hear their voice
last words to live by, cherish life

G-d Loves The Raven As He Does The Dove
G-d loves the raven as He does the dove.
G-d constantly shows us His love.
G-d loves me and He loves you.
G-d loves us our whole lives through.
G-d loves us when our souls soar to heaven,
And our bodies descend into the grave.
So when I'm about to die I'll have courage and be brave.

He Loves You
His love will conquer anger
His love defies all words
He hears all the prayers that are spoken
And all the prayers unheard
His love is unconditional
He loves you when your wrong
He loves you when you disobey
His love for you is strong
He loves you when you stumble
He loves you when you fall
He loves us so much more than words
He really loves us all
He loves you when you call His name
He loves you when you cry
He loves you when your down and out
For us He sent his Son to die
He loves you when you're laughing
He loves you when you smile
He loves it when you praise His name
He loves you, you're his child
His love is never ending
Until the end of time
And once you just embrace His love
Your life will be just fine
For He's got the best intentions
Look at The Son of Man
Be honored through the joy & pain
You're a big part of His plan.

A Thought Upon the Power of Words
Words have the power to please the soul of awareness
Words have the power of ecstasy; they have the power to heal or to scorn
Words have the power to rebuild worlds that have been torn apart by words.
Words have the power to invoke, to choke and to joke,
They have the power to bring you to your knees just as they have the power to plea.
Words have the power to incite trance like states, they have the power of fate,
They conceal meanings deeper than he greatest oceans and are a method
By which we express the emotions we feel, just as we may use them to question
What we consider to be real. You can incite love, hatred, fear,
You can bring a tear to the most stone cold of king giants and you may
Describe the sorrows of the world yet through words we may also share our dreams,
We may ponder upon the events of tomorrow and we may laugh with one another.
We may love and express love through our words though at times we go unheard,
We may share in our experience as we may laugh alongside memories ghost.
Words are the host to our instinctive knowing of all we wish to express,
Words are the dressing of our wisdoms blessing, with words we may put the soul to rest.

Words between words
Words between words
~
I try and say most things subtle
To slip words between words
In the hope you will read and hear
Sometimes I speak with blunt honesty
Sometimes wish I just didn’t speak
Sketching in secret characters
Telling stories built on fantasy
When a subtle look reveals
The obvious biography
Those words between words
What I write, what I speak
I understand words more than people
Words always seem easy
We all have things we wish to say
Some are said, others kept
All that is written then spoken
Are words between words

Words Of Tears..: '(
tears speak
what words can't speak
tears tell
what words can't tell
tears express
what words can't express
tears create the magic
what words can't create
pain tears heart
pain tears the life
pain has teared my heart
pain has teared my life
the pain he gave me
i can't forget
i still remember
his breath
his voice still rings in my ear
his presence is still felt
i seem to see his face in the crowd
why? why?
his soul lives on in me
yet it is the physical frame
why can i feel his pain
is it that thread of love
that binds us till restrain..

Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves; vanity, to what we would have others think of us.

Love has got something
Love has got something
of feelings and a decisions
mended together,
but how do you
express it in words?
Some things
you can’t just say
to laid bare
the depths of it.
Words and deeds
together just gives a view
about what is going on in the heart.
Still there are times
that it feels
as if things are really perfect
and you really know
and understand each other
and together
go into life.

Words
Words on this paper
Words in my head
Words while I'm texting
Computing
Unsaid
Words between people
Words on the phone
Words upon words
Even when I'm alone
Words from the Bible
I question
Don't mesh
Words from pornography
Making them flesh
Words with flat letters
Written in black
Good words and bad words
You cannot take back
Words that are shallow
Words that are deep
When they're too many
They put me to sleep
Words that I'm writing
And rhyming you read
Whatever I'm saying
There's prolly no need
Words from the alphabet
Words that can't be
When you are blind
And it's Braile that you see
Words that are worthless
And said on the fly
My words or your words
Are most likely lies
Words in a sentence
Wise words or fair
The only words earnest
Are those said in prayer

Where Does A Poem Begin?
WHAT DOES A POEM MEAN?
Where does a poem begin
And where does a life end
And what does it all mean?
The life the poem who and what we are
The stars will go on until they burn out and die in a time we will never see
The earth itself will go until it dies in the heat given by a dying sun.
All things lovely and beautiful
Grass and trees and lilacs and cities of love and people who care for each other
All good and great things-
Greater poems by far than this will forever not be
And music that makes the heart and mind more sublime.
All is vanity of vanity says the preacher.
Though not because it all returns to what it was
And repeats without end what it will continue to be
But because once and only once
Even our Universe will die.
Oh time oh life oh love oh peace
Oh words that try to mean
And cannot stay more than our own small instant of hearing and fearing
Death is our name
Death death death.
God forgive me
Only You can save us.

I Know Your Heart…
From your poetry
I know your heart
Words that heal or
Tear things apart
Words from fear
Uncertainty, doubt
Poetic words that
Unite, block out
Words of love,
Reverence, hope
Tiny words or
Large in scope
Words wisely chosen
Words that cause pain
And damaged feelings
Over and over again
Next time your mouth opens
Check heart before you speak
For things always go better
When one withholds critique
