Going to School in Bed
If it is impossible to promise
absolute fidelity,
this is because
we learn so much geography
from the shifting of one body
on another.
If it is impossible to promise
absolute fidelity,
this is because
we learn so much history
from the lying of one body
on another.
If it is impossible to promise
absolute fidelity,
this is because
we learn so much psychology
from the dreaming of one body
of another.
Life writes so many letters
on the naked bodies of lovers.
What a tattoo artist!
What an ingenious teacher!
Is it any wonder we appear
like schoolchildren dreaming:
naked
& anxious to learn?

Impossible
If they had ever told me how sweet a kiss could be
I would have said impossible, impossible for me
And if they said Id find you beyond the rainbows end
I would have said impossible, impossible, my friend
To dream about what might have been
Is strange enough for me
But now it seems Im living in
A dream too beautiful to be
If they had said a moonbeam could calm a stormy sea
I would have said impossible but now at last I see
That nothing is impossible if you are here with me
I would have said impossible but now at last I see
That nothing is impossible if you are here with me

It's Impossible
It's impossible to tell the sun to leave the sky,
It's just impossible.
It's impossible to ask a baby not to cry,
It's just impossible.
Can I hold you closer to me
And not feel you going through me,
But the second that I never think of you?
Oh, how impossible.
Can the ocean keep from rushing to the shore?
It's just impossible.
If I had you could I ever ask for more?
It's just impossible.
And tomorrow, should you ask me for the world
Somehow I'd get it, I would sell my very soul
And not regret it for to live without your love
Is just impossible
Can the ocean keep from rushing to the shore?
It's just impossible.
If I had you could I ever ask for more?
It's just impossible.
And tomorrow, should you ask me for the world
Somehow I'd get it, I would sell my very soul
And not regret it for to live without your love
Is just impossible
Oh impossible,
Impossible.
Impossible.

Learn
when broken
learn
when happy
learn
when bored
learn
when you float and does not know what to do
learn just the same
when filled with idealism
learn
when fed with what you cannot swallow
learn again
when the times get rough and you want to kill yourself
learn, learn, learn
you still have many things to learn
faces of life
bodies of life
learn, learn, learn everything
do not surrender
for in truth, you do not do what you only want
you will also do what you are told to do
no questions asked
or you will be left out
or you will be not a part of the picture
this life
learn, learn, learn, always learn
do not surrender
live, learn, live, learn
you will soon do all that others will tell you
learn, learn and learn again
and sooner you will have learned everything
and then do what you want to do
with firm conviction
you know now what is right
and that is what you will do,
now without even being told
you have become yourself
but still learn, learn, and learn again
because
you might be wrong,
try thinking some more, learn
relearn, learn, learn, learn, forevermore....

Learning from within
As i think I learn,
I see whats inside my head,
Things I didn't know, things that haunt me.
And I think what will change, and what will come,
Think of pain, of love,
I think of confidence, of music.
And I know everyone thinks, everyone learns through themselves.
I know this, yet I still think,
Of who I am, of what others think.
But what does that matter, all you control is yourself,
And I think,
Of life, of death,
Of everything that exists, and everything that has stopped existing.
I think of myself, of others,
And somehow I learn,
Without teachers, without being told anything,
Maybe that's why we think,
To learn, to become ourselves.
Maybe that's why we exist,
To learn through ourselves,
Maybe that's why we live.

Ya gotta know when to run
Ya Gotta know when to run
When a redneck says… “watch this”
Ya just gotta get out of his truck
“Watch this, ” means he thinks it can fly
Or he thinks it can float like a duck
“there ain’t no monster under your bed”
That’s what your mama solemnly states
Run outta the room son, before it’s too late
Cause the monster’s gonna eatcha! You ‘re gonna be dead!
Ya gotta learn when to hold em’
Ya gotta learn when you’re done
Gotta learn when to fold em’
Son, you gotta learn when to run
When your good ol’ buddy boozily states
“don’t worry none, it ain’t loaded! ol‘ son”
Unless you’re dyin’ to stroll thru those pearly gates
You really gotta know when to pick em’ up and run
When bubba states “Shoot! It’s only 220 volts”
And standin in water ain’t gonna hurt us none
The feelin’s akin to getting run over by the Baltimore Colts
And it helps a whole lot…to know when to cut and run

Unsavable
Hello so cool
Yeah that's all that I got from you
Tell me what in the world could I do
But leave after all that you've done to me
Now it's so easy to say I'm over you
Chorus:
'Cause baby I cried a little too hard, a little too long
What I thought was right was way too wrong
It's too far gone
I can't bring back the love
They just ain't enough
Unavailable, impossible, unsaveable love
Here you come tryin' to make a fool of what you've done
It's too late to say you're sorry now
Now it's your turn
Well you can't cross that bridge you've burned
You hone you're wrong
When will you learn
Chorus
There's someone out there for me boy
Who thinks I'm beautiful
I've got to go
But baby I've tried, I've tried
Baby I've tried

I learn
I learn when I teach others
I learn when I listen
I learn when I read
I learn from children
I learn from animals
I learn from nature
I learn how to breathe
I learn how to live
I learn how to love
I learn how to be a human being
I'm always learning ...

Nothing is impossible
I have a strong will power
I have my own distilled water

You Never Take Me Dancing
Written by: richard marx
The worlds greatest mystery
Is love between the woman and the man
Some guys are romeos
Others simply do the best they can
Im just your average, ordinary joe
Tryin to learn things I never knew I had to know
Whats a man supposed to do
I dont get no kick from nine to five
And Im not a man who thinks its true
Its a womans place to keep a love alive
Ive watched enough daytime tv
To know my babys needs
But sometimes I swear thats shes impossible to please
She says
You give me all that I want of your money, baby
But you never take me dancing
I really think I do a lot to show
How I feel about her in my way
Roses on our anniversary
Candlelight and me on her birthday
Just when I thought that I had it all worked out
Now she says I still dont know what its all about
She says
You give me all that I want of your money, baby
But you never take me dancing
You give me sweet little talk, call me honey, baby
Bu you never take me dancing
Im just your average, ordinary joe
Tryin to learn things I never knew I had to know
Chorus out

Why do you think?
Why do you think?
Other should think the way you think
Can you think the way they think?
Everybody thinks’
His way is the right way to think
Respect what people think
The way they think
You will find people
Respecting what and how you think
Everybody has the right to think
The way he thinks’ and what he thinks’
One can only tell what he thinks’
If they like it
They will approve what you think
No regrets, no hard feelings
Nobody loses, Nobody wins

Dream
Oh my life
Is changing everyday
In every possible way
And Oh my dreams
It's never quiet as it seems
Never quiet as it seems
I know I've felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you
And then I open up and see
The person falling here is me
A different way to be
La
I want more (impossible to ignore)
I want more (impossible to ignore)
And they'll come true (impossible not to do)
And they'll come true (impossible not to do)
And now I tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You're what I couldn't find
A totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me

Oh Well, Ill Never Learn
Looking up at the sign
It said: please keep away
And so in I ran
You see ...
Ill never learn
Oh, Ill never learn
Ill never learn
Chapter one again
Here I go again
I found a fountain of youth
And I fell in
How could I ever win ?
Ill never learn
Ill never learn
Ill never learn
Why should I mind ?
Why should I care ?
Ill never learn
Ill never learn

Impossible!
it is impossible to believe in compassion,
and to just stand by watching injustice upon
injustice being heaped on the backs of the poor!
it is impossible to be spiritual without being
human enough to feel the hunger of the hungry!
impossible to believe in love without being angered
when you see countless people being thrown
away and cast to the side like human trash!
it is impossible to remain silent when you can
hear the thundering tears of the children!

The Impossible
What seems to be impossible, is realized through the God of Israel,
By God, all things are possible, while His purpose, God does fulfill.
Christ is Immanuel, God with us, and in The Lord, we place our trust,
Though men are but of dust, He does the impossible in men like us.
All the impossible for God above, is nothing for His Awesome Love,
Guiding us in times deemed tough; showing all what faith’s made of.
The impossible comes many ways, as we live out these earthly days,
But as the task, to Him we raise, He turns that impossible into praise.
The things in life that men pursue, Christ, in Heaven above foreknew,
All difficult things we need to do, can and will be completed through,
The authority of the Living God, who reigns above this earth we trod,
As God guides us with staff and rod, as we travel on the earthly sod.
Even situations that we can face, would be impossible without Grace,
As we look back to time and place, God’s Hand in lives we can trace.
His hand of Grace reaches down, where the impossible can be found,
With a love that’s sure and sound, providing a Grace that will abound.
Nothing is impossible for Him, who sent His Son to die for all our sin,
Using our faith God puts within, He helps us through the time we’re in.
All the impossible men conceive, God works out in those who believe,
So The Spirit in others may conceive, desire that His Son they receive.
