Victoria
Long ago life was clean
Sex was bad and obscene
And the rich were so mean
Stately homes for the lords
Croquet lawns, village greens
Victoria was my queen
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria
I was born, lucky me
In a land that I love
Though I am poor, I am free
When I grow I shall fight
For this land I shall die
Let her sun never set
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria
Land of hope and gloria
Land of my victoria
Land of hope and gloria
Land of my victoria
Victoria, toria
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria
Canada to india
Australia to cornwall
Singapore to hong kong
From the west to the east
From the rich to the poor
Victoria loved them all
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria
Victoria, victoria, victoria

Let Me Publish Our Love
Poets wrote love poems,
Which were love letters,
To their lofty queens;
Save queens, all have read.
I wrote love letters
In the form of poems
To my hefty queen;
Save others, she’s read.
Love has no charm when
The queen alone knows,
Also when others
Know but not the queen.
She must know my love;
My friends must know it.
Let me publish those
That I wrote of her.

Letters To No One
I wrote a letter to my love
and never received a reply.
I've often wondered why that was.
Did he up and die?
Yes, he did. It's a fact.
And because I didn't know
I kept writing letters
and kept feeling low.
These letters went to no one.
So no one wrote to me.
I've often wondered if all my words
would come back home to me?
And then one day they all came back.
'Undeliverable'
is what they said.
I guess my lover moved away
or maybe he was dead.
And so I stopped my letters.
I never wrote again.
I still have all those letters,
unopened and unread.

Darwin and Lincoln - an ovation
Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln
Are, this year, two hundred years old.
Darwin’s theory shocked the religions.
Lincoln’s democracy shook the nations.
Darwin and Lincoln have made their enemies,
Who survive them to keep them alive.
Darwin and Lincoln made their theories,
Which survive them to keep them alive.
Darwin liberated us from ignorance
Let the vested interests die with age
Lincoln abolished slavery by law.
Let the spirit of tolerance rise to match.

Abraham Lincoln because he was a man filled with great compassion who believed that all men are created free and equal, and was not afraid to stand on that platform. The way Lincoln lived his life has served me well in mine.

Queen Victoria
Queen victoria,
My father and all his tobacco loved you,
I love you too in all your forms,
The slim and lovely virgin floating among german beer,
The mean governess of the huge pink maps,
The solitary mourner of a prince.
Queen victoria,
I am cold and rainy,
I am dirty as a glass roof in a train station,
I feel like an empty cast iron exhibition,
I want ornaments on everything,
Because my love, she gone with other boys.
Queen victoria,
Do you have a punishment under the white lace,
Will you be short with her, will you make her read those little bibles,
Will you spank her with a mechanical corset.
I want her pure as power, I want her skin slightly musty with petticoats
Will you wash the easy bidet out of her head?
Queen victoria,
Im not much nourished by modern love,
Will you come into my life
With your sorrow and your black carriages,
And your perfect
Memories.
Queen victoria,
The twentieth century belongs to you and me.
Let us be two severe giants not less lonely for our partnership,
Who discolour test tubes in the halls of science,
Who turn up unwelcome at every worlds fair,
Heavy with proverbs and corrections,
Confusing the star-dazed tourists
With our incomparable sense of loss.

The Fall Of Adam
The Abraham Lincoln town cars
arrive to dispose of our king and queen
they orchestrated dramatic new scenes
for Celebritarian needs
When one world ends
something else begins
but without a scream
just a whisper because we
just start it over again

Victoria
Turnin' over again
Here for another day
Still the thoughts of a dream
Fragments you can't escape
I won't let you down
Won't let you down
I won't let you down
Victoria (Victoria)
Let's take it from the start
Back to the beginning
Victoria (Victoria)
I can't breathe when we're apart
Without you there's nothing without you
Standin' out in the rain
Watchin' the traffic slow
As the light begins to fade
You're warmed by the city glow
I won't let you down
Won't let you down
I won't let you down
Victoria (Victoria)
Let's take it from the start
Back to the beginning
Victoria (Victoria)
I can't breathe when we're apart
Without you there's nothing without you
There's nothing (There's nothing)
Nothing
Turnin' over again
Here for another day
Victoria (Victoria)
Let's take it from the start
Back to the beginning
Victoria (Victoria)
I can't breathe when we're apart
Without you there's nothing without you
