There are two sayings that are familiar in every news room across the country: 1) sex sells; 2) if it bleeds it leads.

Where Your Road Leads
(written by victoria shaw and desmond child)
I believe in miracles
I believe in signs
And I believe that mountains move
One prayer at a time
If I could be an angel
Id make your every wish come true
But I am only human
Just a woman
Lovin you
Where your road leads
I will follow
When your heart bleeds
Ill be there for you
When your night grows dark
And you cant find your tomorrow
Then you can follow me
Someday well look back and see
Our footprints in the sand
Sometimes you would carry me
And sometimes youd be in my hands
If we can love forever
That wont be long enough for me
I want to hold you tender
Be your shelter
All you need
Where your road leads
I will follow
When your heart bleeds
Ill be there for you
When your night grows dark
And you cant find your tomorrow
Then you can follow me
Oh, we can be each others guiding light
Through this long and winding life
Where your road leads
I will follow
When your heart bleeds
Ill be there for you
When your night grows dark
And you cant find your tomorrow
When youve lost sight of your dreams
Then you can follow me

I Am Not Proud Of My Country
I love my Homeland Country and of it's scenic sights I sing
But I don't say I am proud to be Irish as proud has a patriotic ring
And those who feel proud of their Country often go that step too far
As pride leads to patriotism and patriotism leads to war.
I have never waved my Country's flag at parade or football game
And I am not Proud of my country though I love it just the same
For pride and love are different as different as can be
And pride that leads to patriotism has never appealed to me.
Some people on flag post in their front yard fly their Country's flag
And I am proud of my Country you hear them proudly brag
But others worthiness and cultures they never could embrace
And without saying so they are telling you that ours is a superior race.
I am proud of my Country you will never hear me say
Though many feel that pride and patriotism are good and quite okay
But how many young men have died in wars due to patriotic pride
Love brings people together whilst pride and patriotism divide.
I have never been a soldier or had honours to my name
And I am not Proud of my Country though I love it just the same
And those who feel proud of their Country can take that step too far
For pride leads to patriotism and patriotism can lead to war.

She Sells
(ferry/jobson)
Now youre talking in headlines
Up to the minute and free
Stop press, hold the front page
Up as a mirror
Are you reading me?
Watch you walking in waltz time
A jigsaw puzzle in tune
Or are you faking a straight line
To suit yourself too soon
Rather nouveau than never
Contemporary ideal
Some natural kind of poet might slow it
But she sells more my speed
She sells country and modern
Ancient western song
Of oriental confusion
You so right, me so wrong
Now youre fixing to fly me-
Auto-erotic, please,
On the break that youre gliding.
Your lingeries a gift-wrap
Slip it to me
Nine till five
The daily grind
Made-up lies
Make up my mind
Same machine consuming you
Consuming you
Oh why
She sells
I need
Oh why love why
She sells
I need.

Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? (live)
What do you mean, "I don't believe in God"?
I talk to him every day.
What do you mean, "I don't support your system"?
I go to court when I have to.
What do you mean, "I can't get to work on time"?
I got nothing better to do
And, what do you mean, "I don't pay my bills"?
Why do you think I'm broke? Huh?
If there's a new way,
I'll be the first in line.
But, it better work this time.
What do you mean, "I hurt your feelings"?
I didn't know you had any feelings.
What do you mean, "I ain't kind"?
I'm just not your kind.
What do you mean, "I couldn't be president,
Of the United States of America"?
Tell me something, it's still "We the people", right?
If there's a new way
I'll be the first in line,
But, it better work this time.
Can you put a price on peace?
Peace,
Peace sells...,
Peace,
Peace sells...,
Peace sells...,but who's buying?
Peace sells...,but who's buying?
Peace sells...,but who's buying?
Peace sells...,but who's buying?
No, peace sells

Saying Sayings of Old
The same excuses come to mind
all the reason why 'we' can't, shouldn't or don't
It is so tiresome, because there is no solution to find
I find myself using the same quote
'It's wrong and she won't' These words fill up my head
weighing me down like a block of lead
my heart tells me there's no reason it can't be
my heart says there is no reason she can't be with me
my heart deceives me and leads me astray
opening my cage into a world i do not know....
everything around me so confusing....in a world thats so fey
the world around me seems caitiff and just a facade... a show
why does this torture have to be real
why is everything based on what 'I' feel?
I can't keep saying the same things and stay here to die
but to leave.... i would leave my heart and what am i then? ... i must stay
there must be a solution, but all reason is clouded
all shrouded
by these accursed sayings: 'we can't, shouldn't and don; t.... it's wrong! '
I will reject all those thoughts, yet doing so.... i lose my soul
whats worse to lose a soul or a heart? i have fallen deep in a hole
I must choose what to lose a song, ?
or hope, heart or soul? curse you sayings of old
curse you this lyric, o cry for help, curse you sayings OF OLD!
and yet..... i can't....

Good News
Something to begin with
That's easy said than done
You'll see me rolling home
But I don't understand why
Still there's nothing at all
Time is on my side
But we mustn't let our disappointment show
But I will, and you will go on
All I need is some good news (some good news)
All I need is some good news (just some good news)
To put me on my feet (to put me on my feet)
To put me at my ease (at my ease)
All I need is some good news (all I need is some good news)
All I need is some good news (some good news)
To put me at my ease (to put me at my ease)
All I need is some good news
All I need is some good news (just gimme me some good news)
All I need is some good news (some good news)
To put me at my ease (to put me at my ease)
To put me on my feet (on my feet, on my feet)
All I need is some good news (all I need is some good news)
All I need is some good news (all I need is some good news)
All I need is some good news
All I need is some good news (all I need is good news)
To put me on my ease (to put me at my ease)
To put me on my feet (on my feet, on my feet)
All I need is some good news (good news)
All I need is some good news (some good news)
All I need is some good news (good news)
All I need is some good news

Sayings
I kept all these sayings to my hear t because,
I want my people too to enjoy a little bit as well;
And like the householder and the labourers around my town!
But to bring out your sayings to me my love when,
It matters most to put you in the corner and to love you.

We Still Have War That Leads To Terrorism
That we learn from our past mistakes in some instances a lie
For God and Flag and Country so many still prepared to die
In a World of millions of Homeless people where poverty is rife
We still have war that leads to terrorism and disrespect for human life
Of war and battles fought and won the war men love to sing
In many instances from the past we have not learned a thing
One war leads to another war in most cases is true
The Karma that we reap from life it only is our due
More news of war and terrorism with every new day
We have not learned from the past that does seem fair to say
A life for a life as well as an eye for an eye
Amongst the unforgiving only does seem to apply
The past may well be in the past and to the forever gone
But some find it hard to forgive and old hatreds do live on.

The Time Of Day
All the ghosts in the schoolyard
Young rebels with no dreams
Dying of old age
At seventeen
Some blame their mothers
For this unforgiving world
Others point the finger
At the flag the wind unfurls
But I say
You are the lock you are the key
You are the master of your destiny
The devils the dude who sells poison for pay
Dont give the devil the time of day
Dont you give him the room or and inch to play
Dont give the devil the time of day
Dont give the devil the time of day
Theres a face in the mirror
You dont recognize
So you shatter the lights
cause they sting your bloodshot eyes
You walk on with a stranger
Who rolls your soul up in his wad
You place your trust in him
Like you once placed it in god
Well I say
You are the lock you are the key
You are the master of your destiny
The devils the dude who sells poison for pay
Dont give the devil the time of day
Dont you give him the room or and inch to play
Dont give the devil the time of day
Dont give the devil the time of day
Caught between the cyclone fence and a red brick wall
Yeah, you melt like chocolate in the sun
Then you see your angel walking with his high-tops on
And he hands you heaven hotter than a loaded gun
(the time of day)
Dont you give him
(the time of day)
Dont you give him
(the time of day)
You are the lock you are the key
You are the master of your destiny
The devils the dude who sells poison for pay
Dont give the devil the time of day
Dont you give him the room or and inch to play
Dont give the devil the time of day
Dont give the devil the time of day
All the ghosts in the schoolyard
Young rebels with no dreams
Dying of old age

Well I say
You are the lock you are the key
You are the master of your destiny

This Is Not Your Country
Road blocks and fire
Barb wire upon barb wire
This is not your country
Armoured cars, corrugated scars
Grafitti scrawls:
This is not your country
Home sweet fortress
Gunshot - we hate your kind
Get back !
This is not your country
I need some air
And Im stopped and repeatedly questioned:
Born and raised ?
But this is not my country
Were old news
Alls well
Say bbc scum
One child shot, but so what ?
Laid my son
In a box, three feet long
And I still dont know why
A short walk home becomes a run
And Im scared
In my own country
Were old news
Alls well
Say bbc scum
Everybodys under control
Of our surveillance globes
Were old news
Alls well
And thirty years could be a thousand
And this peugeot ad
Spins round in my head
British soldier pointing a gun
And Im only trying to post a letter
A short walk home becomes a run
And Im scared, and Im scared, I am scared
Old news
Alls well
Bbc scum
Youve got more than the dead, so zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Youve got more than the dead, so zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Youve got more than the dead, so zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Zip up your mouth
Youve got more than the dead, so zip up your mouth

Sit Waiting
Should I sit and wait for this fate
Or am I just that second too late
Please tell me if I should laugh or cry
Because I feel like the clouds that colour the sky
Misunderstood and despised
All because of your bloody little lies
However understand this, my friend
There's only so much a truth can bend
Before it breaks and draws the owners blood
Just because you didn't believe it could
I know now where sitting on your hands leads
It leads to you being the one that bleeds
In repentance for those that lie and deny
So don't sit around and wait for a reply
Walk, run or crawl it doesn't matter as long as you move
Because one day there will come a time to prove
Just what you are capable of creating
But that chance doesn't appear if you sit waiting

Segue - Algeria Touchshriek
My name is mr. touchshriek
Of touchshriek with mail over and fantasy
My shop sells egg shells off the shesores and empty females
Im thinking of leasing the room above my shop
To a mr. walloff domburg
A reject from the world wide internet
Hes a broken man
Im also a broken man
It would be nice to have company
We could have great conversations
Looking through windows for demons
And watching the young advance in all electric
Some of the houses around here still have
Inhabitants in them
Im not sure if theyre from this country or not
I dont get to speak much to anyone or that sort of thing
If I had another broken name
Oh, I dream of something like that
