A political prisoner is someone who is out fighting for his or her people's rights and freedom and is imprisoned for that alone.

True Soldier
You're off in war
While the love of your life is here
Be sure to come back
Be sure to come back for her
Don't forget the sights of our U.S.A.
The freedoms along with every privilege
Every privilege
Every privilege
(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
Fighting for rights
Fighting to keep my America in sight
Our affection is w/ you along w/ our pride
Keep us alive
Keep us alive
the tattoo on your arm reminds you of death
And friends who have died
The friend who has died
(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight
Fighting for freedom
Fighting for rights
Fighting to keep my America in sight
Down on her knees your mom prays for you
She's begging the Lord to bring you home safe
Come home safe
Please come home safe
Fly in the sky w/ all of your crew
Don't close your eyes the enemy stays true
You know what they can do
You know what they can do
(chorus)
You're fighting for freedom
You're fighting for rights
You're fighting to keep America in sight

Prisoner
I'm not a prisoner
I just can't be
Waiting every Tuesday to tune into tv
Being hypnotized by the stars
while they take away our rights to put us right behind bars
I can't be a prisoner
there's no way
Hey did you know I'm on their prescription drugs so that way
I can be a Slave to their political ways and not notice
The subliminal waves to be controlled and locked up and put away
I'm also eating a lot isn't that weird
fat, lazy and have no drive to vote
But hey I'll take a douhble cheeseburgers without fear
No I'm not a prisoner I'm bright
But wait if my government does take away my rights
Will I fight?
Probably not cause I'm scarred, what if I get hauled off to jail
freedom of assemble Seems to fail
and what the hell
am I doing
I'm losing my train of thought is it the ADHD
Or is the man trying to control me.
I'm not prisoner
ok I admit it
I'm fat, stupid and addicted to these figments
On TV and oh I like the pills they gave me
I really don't care about anything
I'm finally a prisoner
I'm regretting never paying attention
These metal bars really put reality into perspective
Controlled by a system today
Learn your facts
or get picked up, cuffed and locked away

Truth And Justice...
we do not go to war to protect freedom,
we go to war to buy and sell the free
for the profit of the machine...
do you want a just war?
keep kicking people out of their houses,
taking their jobs, destroying their familes,
and leaving their children hungry...
keep banning books, taking away individual
rights.... keep putting you hand on the common....
and they will rise, and overthrow you!
violence is the wrong answer...
but if you push a peaceful man in a corner,
and abuse his family, he will come out fighting!
you cannot continue to enslave by skin color, religion,
sexual orientation, political views, or economic
status....
too many people see the lie...
too many people are sick of the lie....
and the people you've fooled into fighting
each other, into hating each other...
will join together, and take back their dignity...
hunger cuts through illusion, and demands an answer.

Human Chronicles
saddened again...
to hear reports of violence
from around the world.
people, everyday people,
killed in an instant,
by rogue gunfire.
and people fighting for freedom,
standing up at all costs,
for their basic human rights.
fighting for food and shelter
in the 21st century!
the furious rabble of anger,
religions hating other religions.
fighting for the 'only god',
the 'only truth'...
and they dont even know
for whom they fight!
more earthquakes in Japan.
destruction, despair, desolation...
and yet they keep whaling!
rabid mindless fighting
in the Middle East.
threats of nuclear war,
oil, and more oil!
fighting over which side
of the street god walked on!
mosques, and temples,
weeping...
while the images of both gods,
turn away in shame!
Eorpoean countries failing,
economic collapse!
unrest in China,
boiling between the lines...
too many people
with too few rights!
Tibet, ravaged, raped, plundered...
while the world turns away!
starvation in Africa,
poverty in Haiti,
fighting in Mexico...
the list goes on...

Political Arena
It was a political arena that he was in
A political arena where they said he could not win.
He was fighting for the rights of man
Someone had to take a stand.
His religious rights were being denied
They said he was a war activist which was a lie.
He believed in the commandment “thou shall not kill”
They wanted to take away his rights of “ free will”.
So his lawyer went to court, and fought
With everything that he was taught.
He knew he had a battle up ahead
But it was a fight he did not dread.
Civil rights were being denied
Freedom to all should apply.
They went to court the very next day
He knew the jury he would have to sway.
He started debating how he should start
When a deep feeling pierced his heart.
He told the jury: if this had been GODS will
He would have taught us how to kill.
Can you find it in your heart to take another mans life
And leave a person without a husband, family, children, wife.
Those words penetrated deep into their minds.
It did not take them very much time.
“ NOT GUILTY” we the jury do find.

Dont You Think It's Time?
children have rights,
women have rights.
lovers have rights.
people of all religions,
and even atheists have rights.
people of all colors,
speaking every language have rights.
trees and rivers have rights.
cats and dogs have rights.
cattle have rights,
homeless people have rights.
prisoners have rights.
democrats and republicans have rights,
even socialists have rights.
the jobless have rights,
old people have rights...
and the hungry have
the right to be fed!
damnit! dont you think it's time?

Is Freedom Free? ? ?
America, Land of the Free',
We know the phrase like the back of our hands
We say it pridefully with our flag flying high,
As we sing to the tune with the marching bands
Yet is freedom really free?
Our ancestors had to fight the English,
They had to earn what we take for granted today
Blood was shed and tears were cried,
But there was no alternate way
So tell me is freedom really free?
The Confederates and the Union went head to head,
The Civil War tore America in two
The African Americans had to fight for their rights,
They had to pay the price to do what they wanted to do
Yet we still think Freedom is really free?
Women fought for their right to be equals,
They fought for their rights to work and vote
They stumbled upon a lot of road blocks,
But they never gave up their hope
And you think Freedom is really free?
Even today we are still fighting for our freedom,
Soldiers abroad are defending our rights
Protecting our people and our homeland,
And losing thier lives in the fights
And still you say Freedom is really free?
It's something we don't always think about,
It's something we all take with a grain of salt
But what if one day, you would wake up and it was all gone,
Who do you think would be at fault?
You see little by little they're drawing the strings,
Your privacy can be invaded
Telephones tapped and cameras in your home,
If ever you are suspected
They say in order to keep us safe and our freedom intact,
They have to take such drastic measures
But stop and think for one minute,
What is the purpose of all these pleasures?
If Freedom isn't really free?

So Many People Wrongfully In Jail
So many people wrongfully in jail
Even in some so called Democratic Countries where the justice system some does fail
For political reasons or for reasons otherwise
Democratically elected governments spread fear through their lies
Of people they imprison from elsewhere
Who to challenge their right to be in their homeland did even dare
Many imprisoned as terrorists are not terrorists at all
And many of those with power in their ways are so small
They cling to power by their spreading of fear
From them we hear what they only want us to hear
Democratically elected governments who in their justice system take pride
With the power of might who feel they have right on their side
They may talk of human rights, justice and freedom but that's rhetoric nothing more
Actions speak louder than words we have heard that before

Imprisonment
#Imprisonment
You are imprisoned in the house;
I could see you without a visit.
You are imprisoned in clothes;
I could guess you without a vision.
You are imprisoned in virtue;
I could gaze at you without a touch.
Having been imprisoned,
You have imprisoned me.

Real freedom
Franchise freedom sans political freedom,
Political freedom sans societal freedom,
Societal freedom sans economic freedom.
Economic freedom sans marital freedom,
Marital freedom sans sexual freedom
Is no freedom you grant women.

You Cannot Tell Me!
you cannot tell me
that freedom sees color,
religion, or financial status.
you cannot tell me
that freedom divides
between classes.
you cannot tell me
that freedom is for the few,
and not for the many.
you cannot tell me
that freedom can be bought,
sold, or traded.
you cannot tell me
that freedom can be won
by destroying innocent lives.
you cannot tell me
that freedom invades other countries
for political or economic reasons.
you cannot tell me
that freedom exists without justice.
you cannot tell me
that freedom is out of reach!

Stand up for your rights!

a song being sung
a rap being rapped
an expression being expressed
a ballad by ballader
a verse by preacher

Whose Freedom?
Freedom, freedom, freedom!
Whose freedom?
My freedom, your freedom, our freedoms;
Like e thousand times of a cry in a land!
Yes, they rule with iron-hand but,
We have to obey always;
A rule with an iron fist but,
We have to be the subjects always;
Whose freedom?
Look around you,
It is full of colours;
My freedom, your freedom, their freedoms!
Freedom, freedom, freedom! ! !
We nedd freedom than these shackles.
Whose freedom?
Free-free-free! Freedom to my people! !
Which people?
My people, your people, our peoples;
Have mercy on them and rule them with care.
We need freedom around us,
Whose freedom?
See the type of governments around you;
The people's freedom with an iron fist!
Tell me if all is well.

The Bill, For The Bill of Rights
The political-democracy picking the aristocracy
Like the slaves picked cotton
We the people are totally forgotten
We the people are totally forgotten
Poor people pay the ultimate price
Coersive persuasion –a mind control device
Willingly give your life as a sacrifice
Then die for a cause that violates human rights laws
Economic sanctions aimed at the poor
Carpet bombing civilians desecrates laws of war
When government becomes God, for economic gains
The Bill of Rights wanes, wanes, wanes
Zero tolerance for violence is galore, in the times of war
The whole world saturated with the Blood of The Poor
The cost of freedom, war’s consummate whore
Business interests favor war, as it’s savior

Break Your Laws
when your laws
are applied and enforced
differently to people
according to their religious,
political, or sexual orientation...
when they by application
favor the rich over the poor,
the few over the many.
when they take away dignity,
and individual rights...
when they are used to abuse,
manipulate, and enslave...
when they are immoral,
unjust, and demeaning...
when they stand against freedom...
i will break your laws
with total commitment!

In Rejection Mode
What rights of mine,
Are they fighting for?
The poor of these wars,
Still remain bitter and sour...
And getting even poorer.
The hungry and the homelessness,
Creeps upon front doors.
And warmongers have made self righteousness...
A vision of risks and accepted conflicts.
What rights of mine...
Defends this fighting all the time?
Everywhere I turn,
My needs are ignored.
Yet to the frontlines is where I'm sent,
To duck bullets on foreign shores.
No matter what I've done...
I'm abhorred! I'm shunned.
And the more I feel I will 'always' be 'me'...
That is used as a weapon,
To add to their growing list of enemies.
And even if I train to fight and defend my place...
I'm despised.
Disrespected.
Often I'm stunned to face a public disgrace.
Bitter doesn't matter when this is about race!
And nothing shown throughout history,
Has proven that fighting works!
As I experience thoughts of what progress can be...
Corruption is exposed to all,
Supported by thieves and endorsed by jerks.
Patriotic I am...
But my needs have become sabbatical.
I'm often regarded a radical.
But I'm not the one...
Fanatically birthed!
There's a dignity I honor,
With a shown self worth.
I have not lost my self respect,
Choosing to abuse my senses...
With displays I regret!
Or endorse building fences.
Those in rejection mode...
Cling and hang onto perks!
Destroying nature and humanity,
By a freedom assisted by threats and alerts.
What rights of mine are 'they' fighting for?
The only rights I see,
Is an elusive peace...
Attached to a fading reality!
That is not my wish that frees!
