Not to sound egomaniac or anything, but just to get under people's skin like that, and for them to believe in you and believe strongly enough to write... it's flattering and it helps you during the day.

It's flattering if people think I'm attractive. If it helps, great, but it's not going to get in the way of me wanting to win. That's what I'm all about.

Helps Me Helps You
Look at all the toys I got
Look at all the things I need
Look at all the toys I got
Look at all the mouths I feed
Have I got a wonderful deal for you
What belongs to me belongs to you
I understand what youre going through
I know the point to push you to
My policy helps me helps you
Generosity helps me helps you
Conspiracy helps me helps you
Put you trust in me Ill help you too
Look at all the things Ive done
Look at all the rights I wrong
The means will justify the end
For you to save and me to spend
Cos Ive got a great idea you see
What belongs to you belongs to me
I know just what you wanna do
I know how I can get there too
Hypocrisy helps me helps you
Democracy helps me helps you
Ideology helps me helps you

It's flattering to make a picture which becomes a classic within 10 years; it's not so flattering, however, when people get the impression it's the only picture you've ever made.

It is quite annoying that we have to change the sound we invented just to avoid sounding like people who simply copy us, but... it is flattering and of course challenging.

Flattering
Flattering, train, rain, fling, ring, gin, in, fear, gear, fire, tear, era, near;
But corrupt to the African syndrome!
So, watch your steps before you fall very deep into the hole!
And like the flattering divinations in the land of your sweet muse.
Flattering, eating, tale, gel, fate, rag, age, grain, gain, fine, fin, feat, neat;
And like the struggles of the African child!
But, when will our leaders do the right thing?
Flattering, later, flatter, raw, flat, grit, get, gate, at, an, if, felt, fit, air, war!
With the very act of your muse in the land of trouble;
But corrupt to the African syndrome!
So, try to be yourself to do the right things always.
Flattering, fat, tea, eat, ate, rat, art, tar, rate, late, ant, latter, alter, are, ear;
Honesty is the key of life so, let us live by it!
For, the struggles of the African child do have many meanings as seen around;
But, the flattering words from our leaders are not helping matters.

The fact is popular art dates. It grows quaint. How many people feel strongly about Gilbert and Sullivan today compared to those who felt strongly in 1890?

Its Not True
Some people say shes a bad girl
Some people think shes a fool
Some people tell me shes no good
But Im telling you
Its not true, its not true, its not true
They say that my girls a mad girl
No saying what she might do
Some people tell me shes crazy.
But Im telling you
Its not true, its not true, its not true
Ooh...ooh...ooh...theyve been talking to the fellas
Ooh...ooh...ooh...have they never heard of jealousy?
Ooh...ooh...ooh...if she helps me write the melody
Ill let the words take care of themselves.
Its not true, its not true, its not true
Its not true, its not true, its not true
Ooh...ooh...ooh...theyve been talking to the fellas
Ooh...ooh...ooh...have they never heard of jealousy?
Ooh...ooh...ooh...if she helps me write the memories
Ill let the words take care of themselves.
Some people say shes a loser
Some people tell me that shes through
Some people say I dont love her
But Im telling you
Its not true, its not true, its not true
What theyre saying about her isnt true
Dont you know it isnt true?
Its not true....

Why I Write?
I write poems for myself and I write for the readers
I write for the masses and I write for the leaders
I write to imprint my thoughts in people's mind
I write to make the bad guys helpful and kind
I write to light up our path to Great God
I write for everyone home and abroad
I write to preserve values new and old
I write to make my ink precious like gold
I write for peace and I write for progress
I write to make the world a better place
All major issues I want to address
I write to see smile on God's face

Sound of war
...
Bum! Bum! Bum!
Sound of war
it's like the roaring of a lion
I the jungle.
Sound of war
It's like flash of the lightening
Sound of war
It make people lose their strength
Sound of war
It make people to run to and fro
Sound of war
Um...
Sound of war
make people hopeless
when there is hope
Sound of war is cruel
Because it make people shudder
It make people suffer, shudder shiver, cringe
And due before they die
Sound of war
Oops!
Ouch!
Phew!

Freedom of writing dying
I wrote about one and was taken to court.
I wrote about a sect and was taken to task.
I wrote about a religion and was beaten.
What else to write to serve the purpose
Other than the glory of love and war
And flattering the people in the helm?

I felt very strongly the whole social impact of that depression, you know, and I felt very strongly about the efforts that this Resettlement Administration was trying to accomplish; resettling people, helping them, and so on.
Poem about Poetry - So many ways to write
for some people
there is only one way to write
that's where all their words go
whether right or wrong
whatever the time
frame - or space
for some people
there is only one way to write
imagining themselves the best of all
for some people
there is only one way to write
experience is all that matters
they make sure their carts are
behind their horses
for some people
there is only one way to write
hiding behind all their frankensteins
imagined or real
men. or animals
or the doors given a life to talk

People Who Believe
It's too bad,
People are sad.
And walk around mad...
For someone else to claim it.
And call sadness their own.
While those who are glad,
And happy for reasons.
Seem pleased with themselves,
When no one else is there...
To leave the moans alone!
The people who believe,
Keep faith.
The people who believe...
Keep their faith alive!
People who believe,
They keep faith.
People who believe...
Keep their faith alive!
It's too bad,
People are sad.
And walk around mad...
For someone else to claim it.
And call sadness their own.
But...
People who believe,
Keep faith.
People who believe...
Keep their faith alive!
They trust and...
This helps them survive!
They trust and...
This helps them survive!
They trust and...
This helps them survive!
Those who are glad,
And happy for reasons.
Seem pleased with themselves,
When no one else is there...
To leave the moaners alone!
They trust and...
This helps them survive!
They trust and...
This helps them survive!
They trust and...
Peace of mind arrives.
The people who believe,
Keep faith.
The people who believe...
Keep their faith alive!
They trust and...
Keep their faith alive!
They trust and...
Keep their faith alive!
They trust and...
Keep their faith alive!
They trust and...
This helps them survive!
These people who believe,
Keep a faith inside known!

Whatevah
write
till it does not hurt anymore
write
till all the happy moments are consumed.
write
till all the aches are justified
write
till all your revenge is dissipated
write
till all angles are examined
write and keep on writing
till all of you is hidden, till all of you is folded back
write and keep on writing still
because you are your writer and there is no one who knows you well
except yourself, and what they know shall only be
skin deep
because you want it so,
you are the king in the jungle of your uncertainties
the Tarzan hitting his chest before Jane came and ruined it.

Writing Poetry
Some people write poetry
to fulfil their dream,
others write it as a personal diary.
While yet more write to protest.
Some write sonnets
for unfrequented love.
Some bring laughter
to sad faces somewhere,
while others dwell on memories
that they would like to share.
Some write of love, while
others write of God.
Write as you will on anything,
but the main point is that you write,
and give joy to all that will read.
