Test Week
Here comes test week one
There is less time for fun.
Boys are studying hard all day
For them to top in some way.
Some have english first than chemistry
Then physics, maths and history.
They stay up late till twelve 'o' clock
The studying never seems to stop.
For maths, boys practice many sums
And do so well that 'hundred' comes.
Books in the morning, books at night
Books, books, books all the time.
Then comes the end of 'test week one'
Now its time for all the fun.
Nest week inter-house soccer begins
The competitions tough....
....Never know who's going to win!

Edu-mac-cation
‘EDU-MAC-CATION’
I am going back to school to finish my education
Something, I should have done forty years ago
Will I succeed this time around?
Oh dear, I very much hope so
I have tried several times before
Somehow, I always failed
Couldn’t concentrate, hadn’t the patience
Think it’s time I got it nailed
GCSE’s in Maths and English
I have to follow those paths
Not so bad at English
Bloody useless at Maths
That was when I was in school
All of forty years ago
I was jack the lad back then
Now I really want to know
I know it has been coined before
Now, I believe it to be the truth
What some clever person said
Education is wasted on the youth

Her Name.
Her name's Jane I think
said Jupp
standing beside you
in the school hall
as the girl on the school bus
went by with a slow walk
carrying a bag
over her shoulder
and her dark hair
flowing down her back
anyway he added
how are you getting on
with that maths work
chisel face gave us?
You watched
until she disappeared
into a crowd of other
girls and boys
like watching
the sun go down
on a fine summer's day
and entering
a dull night
huh? Said Jupp
how you coping
with the darn maths?
All Greek to me
you said
carrying the image
of the girl off with you
as Jupp and you
made your way
along the corridor
to double metalwork
and this metalwork
Jupp moaned
it really pisses me off
what do I care
about making
a frigging tea caddy spoon?
And passing by
a print on the wall
of some Manet dame
you thought
how you'd love
to have a print
of the girl
to carry about
or have pinned
to your bedroom wall
at home
huh? Said Jupp
what's with spoons?
I've no idea
you said
all part
of the brainwash
I guess
and did the girl
move you?
you asked inside
oh yes
oh yes
oh yes.

Schoolspeak
‘S cool, man,
It’s the best,
Gotta keep your interest.
Talkin’ is the name of the game
And if you wanna ply
You gotta speak the same.
SCHOOLSPEAK,
‘S cool, man,
Understand me if you can.
P.E.’s bad,
Maths is vile,
I tell you, man,
Maths aint my style.
Art’s a doddle,
R.E.’s a doss,
Gotta show’em who’s the boss.
SCHOOLSPEAK,
‘S cool, man,
It’s the language they wanna ban.
Science is grotty,
Drama’s dead good,
History I’d skive, if I could.
English is ace,
French is a bind,
I’d love to leave this class behind.
SCHOOLSPEAK,
‘S cool, man,
‘S all part of my masterplan.
Miss is magic,
Sir’s a pain,
Head’s a wally, Librarian’s plain.
Dinner’s are skill,
Homework’s a drag,
I’m tellin’ you school aint my bag.
SCHOOLSPEAK,
School, man,
‘S cool.

A Poem in Maths
Count your blessings, God-given;
Add them one by one, each day;
Subtract your pessimism;
Divide time for all your works;
Multiply your joys in life;
Get success in earthly stay,
By praying to the Lord.
Numbers are infinitesimal;
Numbers are so magical;
Numbers can have decimal;
Numbers rule the modern world.
Numbers are abstract / real;
Numbers can amuse us all;
Numbers are the ‘bricks’ of Maths!
Numberless, world is dismal.
They can count your hair, these days;
They can count the stars, some ways;
Man’s progression in Maths is base,
For putting man on Moon, or Mars?
Numbers make computers work;
Hypotheses form the science;
Integers are wonders too;
A genius in mathematics
Is a MATHEMAGICIAN!

Just A Silly Senseless Plot
Some people talk of Hollywood
Being dominated by the Jews
They see prejudice and bias
In movies and the news
I do not respect this view at all
In fact I would suggest
That such people find conspiracies
Whatever they inspect.
I was once an academic
And studied higher maths
Things like odd infinities
And never ending paths
My God, I saw conspiracy
In the studies I did then
Many things were named after
Mathematical Jewish men.
In set theory there was Cantor
Who named the infinite
After Hebrew letters
A strategem that might
Make the infinite semitic
Gosh, what a clever scheme
Brainwash all those students
In a Zionistic dream.
Now of course all this is hogwash
Whether Hollywood or maths
We really should be grateful
For all the people that we have
Whether white or brown or purple
Whether gentile, Jew or what
All this talk of domination
Is just a silly senseless plot.

About 3.14 pi
It's pi
The famous guy
He is like a mate
Which is so great
We use him in maths and science
Is such a reliance for us
Pi is so fun
pi is the only 1
pi don't cry on your day
so lets have fun
so lets all have a bit of pie under the sun
happy pi day everyone! ! ! ! ...

Your Mother's Words
Your mother's words are still in my mind,
Even though so many years have gone by between us;
And i can still remind her of her exact words said before me when,
I took up the contract to teach you and your siblings Core-Maths.

As a kid I quite fancied the romantic, Bohemian idea of being an artist. I expect I thought I could escape from the difficulties of maths and spelling. Maybe I thought I would avoid the judgement of the establishment.

Say something beautiful
‘I found a cute leaflet in my box
The other day it says 1plus1 is 2
Does it have anything to with you…
By any chance cause I think I like you? '
‘I don't know what you are talking about
I am truly surprised'
‘Cause you know…'
‘Sorry if I caused any problems
I wish we could be friends.'
(No problem, no problem at all
Sorry I bothered you
Sorry if was cheeky before)
‘Say something beautiful.'
‘Like 1 plus 1 is 2
I've never really been good at maths.'

Coming To Pass
Coming to pass,
Of the plan;
And, i can still smell it.
Path, bath, Math, death, lath;
But, you still don't even know who a German is.
Paths, baths, Maths, deaths, laths;
And, it is all coming back to you because,
There is a reason behind it.

The Number Nought
I really think that people ought
Value more the number 'nought'
Without this number much would differ
No algebra, no calculator
No internet and no PCs
A maths developed differently
'Nought' is the number that enables
Us to solve all those equations.

Lying Heart
May liars roam the adventures to apply,
Inside they have an organ to lie.
They are slightly frivolous,
Even thieves of the calculus.
May the maths constrict the veins
Opening the heart to bad regains,
I watch the blood of a liar as such,
Its beautiful colour is not much.
May lying be a solution to the pain
Of an evil man, an evil to be again.

After Gym
After gym
before the tediousness
of double maths
she went with you
and sat on the bench
on the playing field
watching the sky
turn from blue
to grey
rain
she said
is on the way
but still you sat
and talked
of this
and that
away from the ears
and tongues
of others
especially
her mother’s
and you knowing
that soon
the bell would ring
for end of recess
and the brainwashing
begin again
and you put out
a hand
and touched hers
feeling excitement
and the start of rain.

Wise Potion
A demure man asks no thoughts from me,
An effervescent potion of knowledge includes me
As a starting package for more solutions to life.
Wisdom evokes sympathy and dread, too fine points.
My drums collect dew from the air
And I hear such beautiful maths;
A desultory tune starts to be sensed,
Fulfilling the felicity of life itself.
I am your actual epiphany,
I am a seeing man of intellect if subdued
And outwitted enough for the arts
Of collections and the models of property.
Demure men and women seek self-knowledge
When ripe fruit plucks and transgressions flee
From us and the battlefield, a most tragic site
For the wicked and brave - a bravery lies in store.
