Facebook Poem = Best Of The Rest

Facebook has become a world of its own
As hearts and souls communicate and relate.
There’s always someone 24 hours night and day
To converse with, respond to or debate.

People by the millions can influence one another
By how they feel and what they say.
All of us search for friendship, love and answers
As we consume our monitor at work or play.

Facebook delivers us past the gatekeepers
And the public juries the thoughts we preach.
It’s up to God and our own self-worth
If our postings glorify, identify and teach.

Facebook

Facebook
faces, faces, faces
just faces

Facebook
3500 friends half of whom
he has no inkling about

Facebook
he stares at the faces
he hardly knows

Facebook
faces and faces
he hardly knows

Facebook
an adult returns to kid's world
poke me, poke me

Facebook

Oh facebook what are you?
a monster or an angel?
facebook what can i say?
that i am proud of you or mad at you?
facebook what are my feelings for you?
love or hatred?

can you please tell me?
you made me found a beloved person
should i say thanks or what the hell
you made me lost the best of relationships
should i let it go or kill you

you brought my friend and i in to communication
should i be grateful or just let it go
you ruined several lives
should i say you are a freak
you made people happy though some sad

you destroy peoples marriages and relationships
but still you react as if all is perfect
ohohoh facebook i've got no words to describe you
you are just so complicated
but trust me you shall be judge by your victims

To My Facebook 'Friends

To my Facebook 'friends'...
Any time a smearing is done,
To defame and backstab anyone.

Remember,
This is often a way...
One who chooses a synonym,
To keep a facade reflecting what is fake.

Anyone choosing to communicate,
Behind a mask.
Should tell you 'something'
About that Facebook 'friend'!

They have selected you to spew their filth.
And from the gutter,
They pull trash!
Hoping what they utter has 'legs' enough to last.

Note:
It's difficult to defend one's integrity.
When those with none...
Have chosen a mask to adorn,
To inflict harm upon someone!
And yet,
Those with an absence of self respect,
Seem always 'busy' infecting the fresh air.

Starbuck & Facebook Poems

STARBUCK

Around 1615 coffee came to Western Europe
Raising a huge controversy and warning cry.
Some said it was intoxicating and poisonous
And any whom consume it will die.

No one knows how coffee was discovered
Though it is said its effects were known before A.D.575.
Persian armies carried and ate its seeds for strength
Which in battle could decide who would perish or survive.

Arabs where the first to brew its bitter seeds into a drink
In a attempt to make it taste better and easier to consume.
Soon the new beverage spread to Turkey and Europe
As the world became addicted to the harvest of it's bloom.

Thank God for caffeine found in coffee
Which helps multitudes make it through the day.
Like ancestors of the past it helps energy to last
And for it's stimulant we are eager to pay.

It's a Feeling Deeper

There is a certain meaning to it.
For people who are born to do this.
It's not on the surface to depict.
With an easy category to assign to it.

It's a feeling deeper.

There is a certain meaning to it.
For people who are born to do this.
It's just not what it appears to exist.
This 'thing' is deeper.
Below a surface reached for 'it'.

It's a feeling deeper.
That's deep.

Deeper,
And from below a surface that must be exposed.
This 'thing' gets deeper,
And those knowing it want it shown not kept unknown.

It's a feeling deeper that's deep.
Deeper that's deep.
It's a feeling deeper.
It's not on the surface to depict.
With an easy category to assign to it.

It's a feeling deeper that's deep.
Deeper that's deep.
It's just not what it appears to exist.
This 'thing' is deeper.
Below a surface reached for 'it'.
It's a feeling deeper that's deep.
Deeper that's deep.

It's a feeling deeper.
That's deep.
Deeper that's deep.
Deeper.
Deeper.

It's a feeling deeper.
That's deep.
Deeper that's deep.
Much deeper.

How can anyone connect it.
Deeper.
How can anyone connect it.
Deeper!
How can anyone connect it.
Deeper!

Much much deeper!
How can anyone connect it.
Deeper.
How can anyone connect it.
Deeper!
How can anyone connect it.
Deeper!

Much much deeper!

SOLDIER FOR THE LORD

I'm a soldier for the Lord
Who's been up and who's been down
Though while on the battlefield
I have never turned around.

I face more than flesh and blood
With the Devil's evil hoard.
But they shall not steal my soul
For I swing my Lord's swift sword.

I wear all of God's armor
With helmet, breastplate and shield.
As Satan's arrows fly by
From his archers of the field.

The Devil casts his dark net
Over any he may charm.
He'll lead them from salvation
With his hands upon their arm.

I battle evil daily
And I pray that you'll join me.
We're not alone in this world
For we're loved and watched by Thee.

GOD'S POET TOM ZART

The Lord can close doors no man can open
And open doors no man can close.
It's up to us to prove our heavenly worth
By our lifetime example of the path we chose.

The Declining Art Of Communication

We all seem to be living our lives
At an ever increasing pace.
We are finding less and less time
To meet up with people face to face.

You often read stories in the press,
About people being fired or dumped by text.
The way in which we communicate has changed so much,
That you do find yourself wondering 'Whatever next? '

There are some things, which by text or email,
You just really shouldn't say:
Like, if you're telling someone that they're no longer wanted,
Or that someone they know has just passed away.

You can check your email at your leisure,
Unlike if someone contacts you by phone,
But like they say, it's good to talk,
So you really shouldn't moan.

I love receiving letters on fancy paper from my friends,
And hear them dropping through my letterbox,
But the whole idea of 'snail' as opposed to email,
Is a concept which, nowadays, is often mocked.

If you're talking face to face,
You're less likely to get the wrong impression.
You can connect more to people's thoughts and feelings,
If you are able to read their facial expressions.

Tackling a sensitive subject with someone,
Often has us trembling with fear,
But is it really better for it to be discussed
Electronically, rather than ear to ear?

Sometimes, you can spend hours together,
During which time, very little of importance is said.
Then, later, you log on to your computer,
And discover all the gossip is on there instead!

If you put all of your news on Facebook,
You may find your face to face conversation is suddenly dead.
When you next meet up with someone and mention your news,
They will turn to you, and say 'Yeah, you said'!

The world of communication has come on in leaps and bounds,
But, in some ways, it has advanced too much.
Communication can now be so impersonal,
That we seem to have lost the human touch.

Something' That Might Connect

I wish I was
Caught up in the shallowness
Of my own thought process.
That would make it much easier
To communicate and relate to you.
And you would find it even quicker
To access 'something' that might connect.

I'm trying to communicate here. I'm a communicator, I like to communicate, and if a million people buy it then we've touched a million people, if only 10 people buy it, then we've only touched 10, and that's important, because I'm satisfied with only 10. But, I love a million.

It's Mine to Own

Just give me my prize!
For a life lived...
Both bold and wise.

Just give me my prize!
Un-itemized it.
It's mine to own.

Just give me my prize.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Inside...
I connect it.
Now I can accept.
Those feelings I cried...
With heartache.
Deep in my chest!

I accept it.
Now I can connect.

I accept it.
Now I can connect.

Just give me my prize!
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Inside...
I accept it.
Now I can connect.

Those feelings I cried...
With heartache.
Deep in my chest!

I accept it.
Now I can connect.
Just give me my prize!
Un-itemized it.
It's mine to own.

I accept it.
Now I can connect.
It's mine to own.
I accept it.
Now I can connect.
It's mine to own.

Just,
Give me my prize I accept it.
It's mine to own.

I accept it.
Now I can connect.
My own.

I accept it.
Now I can connect.
My own.

I accept it.
Now I can connect.
My own.

Just give me my prize,
I accept it.
It's mine alone!
