Tied Down By Trudeau's Charter Of Rights

How do we go about changing Trudeau’s left wing Charter of Rights?
Because all the crooks and terrorists have us in their sights,
They want to come here and then onto the appointed Supreme Court,
Where definitions and decisions could be in their support.

Unfortunately our establishment think the Charter is great,
And changes are strictly forbidden to come up for debate,
We look in the mirror and see the enemy looking back,
And because of Trudeau’s Charter, our future could be pitch black.

If we could make Trudeau’s Charter for Canadians alone,
Not “EVERYONE” in the world especially every combat zone,
And stop them from coming here to claim Trudeau’s Charter rights,
And then they could put some other soft country in their sights.

Dump Trudeau's Charter Feb 7th,2011

Could Trudeau’s Charter destroy us and could we ourselves be to blame?
With polygamy and abortions and no one thinks it’s strange,
With thousands of refugees and lawyers all claiming Charter rights,
En route to the appointed Supreme Court with their Charter fights.

Are we locked in Trudeau’s Charter or is there a way out?
Is it because less than half of us vote; is that what it’s about?
How do we get rid of Trudeau’s Charter and back to where we were?
Is it possible that Canadians might realize we’ve erred?

How do we get our politicians to even pay attention?
Could binding referendums or propositions stop dissension?
Because no one wants to even read the writing on the wall,
Are the anti police agitators gathering at the mall?

Can We Change Trudeau's Charter

Terrorists like Trudeau’s Charter because it gives them rights,
All the way to our appointed Supreme Court with delights,
And we’re so politically correct we can’t see a problem here,
Appointed establishment all tell us we have nothing to fear.

Why didn’t someone point out back then that his Charter had a flaw?
It allows terrorists and crooks and prisoners to bend every law,
Is it possible that Canadians could maybe rearrange?
Is it possible to change Trudeau’s Charter or is that too strange?

Why are we more concerned with human rights instead of the law?
Soft judges allow too many to walk and that’s a major flaw,
And you don’t complain though of course you are not one of them,
The left wing media would probably complain to the PM.

Can We Circumvent Trudeau's Charter Feb 13th,2011?

Trudeau’s Charter brought us multiculturalism in spades,
As the once proud Canadian culture is disregarded and fades,
As multiculturalism supports separate ghetto places,
Satellite dishes and Trudeau’s Charter right in our faces.

Can’t encourage amalgamation because they will not elect,
A politician who might appear to be not politically correct,
With “EVERYONE” in the world coming here to claim Charter rights,
Politically correct politicians pretend that this is a great delight.

We could circumvent Trudeau’s Charter with binding referendums,
If we had proper leadership to write the proper memorandums,
And tell the appointed Supreme Court that we are in charge,
Write another constitution because what we have is too large.

Sesquipedalian (With Apologies To Ogden Nash)

My poems are somewhat, in fact quite a lot, not to put too fine a point on it, just a bit or, notwithstanding everything else I will say, a great deal sesquipedalian;

They are packed full, to wit, of long-winded words that don’t fit and ululating complicated and multi-syllabic, incomprehensible terms that feel almost alien.

I’m not sure if, for cash, that flash, brash Ogden Nash hasn’t had the notion of creating this version; if not, then he should have done

Or whether, if other bards in that scene had thought really hard of a means of fitting “sesquipedalian” in, they would have done.

But these trite tongue-twisters titillate the tonsils and test the talker

And I like lines that don’t quite rhyme, even though they ought to.

My odes ramble on as I try to make simile and metaphor fit.

I think it’s fine fun and that they just sound better for it.

But some of that ilk try to milk your emotions

With a totally misplaced unfounded notion

You should cram every short sentence;

Mine just go on and lengthen.

It’s not my fault that I chose

To be quite over-verbose.

Don’t have it in for me:

I’m seeking sympathy.

I’d love to be laconic,

But it’s just chronic.

Eschewing levity.

Going for brevity.

I really do lust

To be brusque.

I ought to

Be shorter

I’m sure I

Could try

Terse

Verse:

True,

Too.

By?

I?

But my poems are somewhat, in fact quite a lot, not to put too fine a point on it, just a bit
or, notwithstanding everything else I have said, a great deal (but I’m sure you won’t mind as I’ve reached the next line, which is where I should stop and let the matter drop) outstandingly boringly, snoringly sesquipedalian.

Youth Today

Youth of today act in haste
They rise to the occasion very late
They know each and everything
Yet some quickness is needed for right kind of things

What is course open to us?
Start advising with caution and course
Or point out flaws with least concern
In any case both may witness ugly turn

It is not the question of single family
In family it can be tackled easily
Question is how to use youth readily
Come in terms and join the hands steadily

Any country may ill afford
That country fails to move forward
Youth may not pardon the old generation
Blame for their future with lots of questions

It is not question for making right decisions
There is no time to raise simple objections
There must be some room for acceptance and rejection
Most of all there should be ample opportunity for strong actions

How energy can be harness for peaceful purpose?
Same way youth can be directed for progressive use
Not by putting them to adverse exposure
But make them to believe in bright future

Let the window allow cool breeze
Let us not criticize or stall their motive please
Help them to come at right point of discussion
Judge the situation and remove the confusion

Every living object has to come to an end
We must make them realize and treat as friends
They are the only ones to be entrusted with future course
The wind also finds right direction and blows

River water may also find way for their flow
We must allow them free course to go
Any nation can ill afford division or waste of energy
Youth are very much sensitive and moody

Can You Deal With It?

(words and music: duran duran)
There must be somebody
Wholl make love to me.
Blow the rules away
And trash these yesterdays.
Live in simpathy
Use psychology.
To find the twist in me (ah-ha)
Can you deal with it?
Recent enquiry
Showed now boundry.
Loves the only way
Can you handle it?
Can you deal with it? (oowa)
Can you deal with it?
Can you deal with it? (oowa)
Can you deal with it?
Can you deal with it?
When you aint sorry? (can you deal with it? )
For all that you appologise (can you deal with it? )
Working up to something,
I know youre up to something...
Yeahhhh...
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to happen)
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to get me up)
Say you deal with it? (but nothing never happens)
Can you deal with it? (cos nothings ever good enough)
Say you deal with it?
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to happen)
Can you deal with it? (somethings got to get me up)
Say you deal with it? (but nothings gonna happen)
Can you deal with it? (cos nothings ever good enough)
Say you deal with it?

How Do You Deal?

how do you deal?
when life not what it seems,
everthing falling apart,
nothing going your way,
lost and confuse,
just not knowing what to do,
yeah life sucks,
but, do you just give up?
never knowing how to deal is crazy,
but, doing things that don't help
is wrong,
but, how do you deal?
when things are crazy,
nothing going your way,
just wonder when it will get better,
because this question lingers,
'how do you deal! '

Gilhooley's Estate

Oh, Mr Gilhooley he turned up his toes,
As most of you know, soon or late;
And Jones was a lawyer, as everyone knows,
So they took him to Gilhooley's Estate.
Gilhooley in life had been living so free
'Twas thought his possessions were great,
So Jones, with a smile, says, "There's many a fee
For me in Gilhooley's Estate."

They made out a list of his property fine,
It totalled a thousand-and-eight;
But the debts were nine hundred and ninety-nine --
The debts of Gilhooley's Estate.

So Mrs Gilhooley says, "Jones, my dear man,
My childer have little to ait:
Just keep my expinses as low as you can
Against poor Gilhooley's Estate."

Bur Jones says, "The will isn't clear in its terms,
I fear it will need some debate,
And the law won't alow me (attorneys are worms)
To appear in Gilhooley's Estate."

So a barrister-man, with a wig on his head
And a brief in his hand, quite elate,
Went up to the Court where they bury the dead,
Just to move in Gilhooley's Estate."

But his Honour the Judge said, "I think that the joint
Legatees must be called to probate --
Ex parte Pokehorney is clear on the point --
The point of Gilhooley's Estate."

"I order a suit to be brought just to try
If this is correct that I state --
A nice friendly suit -- and the costs by and by,
Must be borne by Gilhooley's Estate."

So Mrs Gilhooley says, "Jones, you'll appear!
Thim barristers' fees is too great;
The suit is but friendly," "Attorneys, my dear,
Can't be heard in Gilhooley's Estate."

From the barristers' quarter a mighty hurrah
Arises both early and late:
It's only the whoop of the Junior Bar
Dividing Gilhooley's Estate.
