Valor is of no service, chance rules all, and the bravest often fall by the hands of cowards.

No Rules
Say its alright
If you really love me
Its my life
And I really wanted you that night
Was about to break
So we had to just take a chance
Time is not to waste
We couldnt let it slide through our hands
When my heart called
You answered me
Baby, when I was falling
You were there for me
Theres no rules in love
Cant you see?
No rules in love
For you and me
No rules in love
Walking through the streets
The echo of our footsteps in time
In between the beats
Tell me that youll always be mine
So baby can I trust you
Like Im ready to?
Ive waited so long
And I never refused
Theres no rules in love
Cant you see?
No rules in love
For you and me
Theres no rules in love
Our hearts are free
No rules in love
For you and me
No rules in love
All my life, been living on the same dreams
Sometimes they seemed so real
All my love I held deep inside me
I wanted to feel
I wanted to feel
Baby, now I wonder
What youre doing tonight
I can see you laughing, boy
As I closed my eyes
Theres no rules in love
Cant you see?
No rules in love
For you and me
Theres no rules in love
Cant you see?
No rules in love
For you and me
Theres no rules in love
Cant you see?
No rules in love
For you and me

Different reactions
A wizard once said
Reactions to wrongs and evil vary
The bravest would fight back
With all the might they possess
With all the tools available
Next to them would denounce and condemn
Loud and clear, so the world could know
What they stood for
Many would dare not to utter their thoughts
Just hating the evil within their feeble hearts
Cowards but still part and parcel of good
Beware the rest, he warned
They are wrong doers or ignorents
Very easy preys and tools in hands of evil
Heading Out To The Highway
Hitem boys
Well Ive said it before, and Ill say it again
You get nothin for nothin, expect it when
Youre back seat drivin and your hands aint on the wheel
Its easy to go along with the crowd
And find later on that your say aint allowed
Oh thats the way to find what youve been missin
So Im heading out to the highway
I got nothin to lose at all
Im goin to do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall
You can hang in a left or hang in a right
The choice it is yours to do as you might
The road is open wide to place your biddin
Now, wherever you turn, wherever you go
If you get it wrong, at least you can know
Theres miles and miles to put it back together
And Im heading out to the highway
I got nothin to lose at all
Im goin to do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall
Makin a curve or takin the strain
On the decline, or out on the wain
Oh everybody breaks down sooner or later
Well put it to rights, well square up and mend
Back on your feet to take the next bend
You weather every storm thats comin at cha
And Im heading out to the highway
I got nothin to lose at all
Im goin to do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall

Take A Chance
(foster/lukather/newton-john)
Could it be were the perfect pair?
Have it all if wed only dare
I have dreamed of a night like this
Maybe you will end my loneliness
Meeting you was a dangerous thing
Cant control what is happening
Stood my ground, didnt run away
Trying hard to hide that Im so afraid
Take a chance, take a chance
Shall I take another chance on love?
Take a chance, take a chance
Shall I take another chance on love?
When it feels so right
That Im safe and warm inside
Take a chance and fall tonight
Guess my hearts on the borderline
Couldnt stand it not to work this time
Its hard to fight when it feels so good
If theres something, dont you think that we should
Take a chance, take a chance
Shall I take another chance on love?
Take a chance, take a chance
Shall I take another chance on love?
When it feels so right
That Im safe and warm inside
Take a chance and fall tonight

I Had A Vampire
I had a dream about a vampire
His hair was fair with flames
His eyes sparkled like sapphire
Only a few who knew his name.
He had big and bulky muscles
And he stood around 6 feet tall
Only the bravest of the bravest
And the fearless of them all
Would ever be so valliant
As to even walk up to the tree
Where this monster awaits for dinner,
And say 'Lord, be with me.'
The bravest of the bravest
And the fearless of them all
Would take upon this vampire
And possibly make it fall.
He drew his sword out of his sheath,
And approached the wicked beast
For it leaped into the air
And onto him the very least.
Man slung his sword left and right,
But vampire had already won
With a bite of pearly white fangs
The evil deed was done.
But wait why is he standing up?
Man was a man no more
For vampire only bit once,
And the venom had the score.
Two vampires now there are,
Out to get the strong ones
The men who think superior
And did what had to be done.
Now an army of vampires,
Each one different but the same
Hung to the courage they had
Still a few hold their name
Of man, though they were not man,
But they had a man's willpower
To overcome this evilness
And fight hour after hour
Against the two strongest monsters,
The ones who started the fall
They tore away the bravest of the bravest
And the fearless of them all.
The one with the hair of flames
And blue sapphire eyes
Leapt onto one of the biggest
And he fell down in surprise.
Vampire ripped him to pieces,
Shredded him apart
Tearing out the only thing needed,
His no-longer beating heart.
Vampire took down all the men
The whole army one by one
This time he made sure of it
And knew he finally won.
I woke up surprisingly happy
Knowing the vampire with flame
Had won an evil victory
But I still didn't know his name
Until one day I met him
In another one of my dreams
Or maybe it was real
Nothing is what it seems.
Whether it be a dream or real,
I woke up a vampire.
With flowing hair of flames
And he was my only desire.

Memorial Day 2006
It is a decent thing to grieve their loss
Their lives in unexpected Hi Lite upon history's altar
Their was no will to death
We pray their valor was a vision of service.
The young Marine with wire hands haunts me
Stopping in salute before the President's casket
His wire hands so visual a reminder of sacrifice
My mind can not escape that wire hand raised in final salute
It makes me salute the terrible loss - the unconscionable sacrifice -
Of men I have never met closer than a newspaper
And raise my trembling hand in return salute
Of an inadequate acknowledgement of debt.

Our Rules
We each live by our rules,
the ones engraved within us,
the rules we will never break
no matter what disasters
may fall upon us.
They are not the rules
others make in the way of laws,
but the ones we make for ourselves.
We never cheat on our friends
for to do so is to cheat ourselves.
Never rob those closest to our heart,
for to do so is something
ourselves can never forgive.
Simple rules we always stick by
as they bring the contentment
other see in our eyes.

The Trial By Existence
Even the bravest that are slain Shall not dissemble their surprise On waking to find valor reign, Even as on earth, in paradise; And where they sought without the sword Wide fields of asphodel fore'er, To find that the utmost reward Of daring should be still to dare.

I'd Do Anything
Another day is going by
I'm thinking about you all the time
But you're out there
And I'm here waiting
And I wrote this letter in my head
'Cuz so many thing were left unsaid
But now you're gone
And I can't think straight
This could be the one last chance
To make you understand
I'd do anything
Just to hold you in my arms
To try to make you laugh
Somehow I can't put you in the past
I'd do anything
Just to fall asleep with you
Will you remember me?
'Cuz I know
I won't forget you
Together we broke all the rules
Dreaming of dropping out of school
And leave this place
To never come back
So now maybe after all these years
If you miss me have no fear
I'll be here
I'll be waiting
This could be the one last chance to make you understand
And I just can't let you leave me once again
I close my eyes
And all I see is you
I close my eyes
I try to sleep
I can't forget you
Nanana (....)
And I'd do anything for you
I'd do anything
To fall asleep with you
I'd do anything
There's nothing I won't do
I'd do anything
To fall asleep with you
I'd do anything
'Cuz I know
I won't forget you

Hemorrhage
Hemorrhage (In My Hands)"
memories are just where you laid them
drag the waters 'till the depths give up their dead
what did you expect to find?
was there something you left behind?
don't you remember anything i said when i said
don't fall away, and leave me to myself
don't fall away and leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands again
leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands
love lies bleeding
oh hold me now i feel contagious
am i the only place that you've left to go
she cries her life is like
some movie black and white
dead actors faking lines
over and over and over again she cries
don't fall away, and leave me to myself
dont fall away, and leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands again
leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands
love lies bleeding
and i wanted
you turned away
you don't remember, but i do
you never even tried
don't fall away and leave me to myself
don't fall away and leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands again
leave love bleeding
in my hands, in my hands
love lies bleeding

The Charge At Port Hudson
'Niggers won't fight' ah ha!
'Niggers won't fight' ah ha!
'They are no good for war,
One in a hundred.'
Let Mississippi's shore,
Flooded with negro gore,
Echo back evermore:
See our six hundred.
Firm as the granite rock,
Full to the cannon's shock,
With a faith none dare mock,
Earth's ties all sundered;
Every man firm in his place
Staring death in the face,
Battling for home and race
Marched our six hundred.
Crash falls the iron hail,
Making the stoutest pale,
All but the bravest fail,
Old veterans wondred.
Fighting with purpose high,
Fighting until they die,
Bravely for liberty,
Fell that six hundred.
Villians that shun the light,
Traitors who hate the right,
Cowards who dare not fight,
Own that ye blundered.
Spurning the name of slave,
Bravest amid the brave,
Each fills a soldier's grave,
Noble six hundred.

Love Is War!
Love is war!
You’re drafted at birth.
Already old enough to walk
you are pointed to your enemy
since yee feet tall
Love is war!
Here are the rules of engagement:
Never be the first to call,
Never lower your guard,
Never, ever, say I love you first, above all,
‘Cause this’ll mean your fall!
Love is war!
If you follow those rules
You might be so successful
That you could even avoid love
And not give it a chance at all
Love is war!
And if both parties surrender
Then baby welcome
to a land of wonders
and it beats it all!
Love is war!
You win some
You lose some
Both sexes after the same thing
In their own way, All in all
Love is war!
Anyone who says otherwise
Is either deluded, a liar
or has not known love at all
I have a saying:
Love is war!
And if it’s done proper,
There are no casualties, No hurting,
And you have two winners!
Romance of Dunois
It was Dunois, the young and brave, was bound for Palestine,
But first he made his orisons before Saint Mary's shrine:
'And grant, immortal Queen of Heaven,' was still the Soldier’s prayer;
'That I may prove the bravest knight, and love the fairest fair.'
His oath of honour on the shrine he graved it with his sword,
And followed to the Holy Land the banner of his Lord;
Where, faithful to his noble vow, his war-cry filled the air,
'Be honoured aye the bravest knight, beloved the fairest fair.'
They owed the conquest to his arm, and then his Liege–Lord said,
'The heart that has for honour beat by bliss must be repaid.-—
My daughter Isabel and thou shall be a wedded pair,
For thou art bravest of the brave, she fairest of the fair.'
And then they bound the holy knot before Saint Mary's shrine,
That makes a paradise on earth, if hearts and hands combine;
And every lord and lady bright that were in chapel there
Cried, 'Honoured be the bravest knight, beloved the fairest fair!'

Take A Chance
Words and music by bob seger
You take a chance on an airplane
You take a chance when you cross the street
You take a chance when you love somebody
When youre standing near the heat
You take a chance when youre honest
You take a chance when you tell lies
You take a chance when you trust somebody
When you look em in the eyes
Take a chance on me
Take a chance on me
Im exactly what you see honey
Take a chance on me
You take a chance when youre indecisive
You take a chance when youre aloof
You take a chance when you judge somebody
When youve really got no proof
You take a chance when you refuse to hear
You take a chance when youre unkind
You take a chance when you refuse to grow up baby
You end up left behind
Take a chance on me
Take a chance on me
Im exactly what you see honey
Take a chance on me
You take a chance when youre ruthless
You take a chance when youre cruel
You take a chance when you make a vow babe
To be nobodys fool
You take a chance when youre distant
You take a chance when you live inside
You take a chance when someone loves you
And you leave them with no pride
Take a chance on me
Take a chance on me
Im exactly what you see honey
Take a chance on me
Oh take a chance on me
Take a chance on me
Im exactly what you see honey
Take a chance on me

Love Rules
Evry day you pass her in the hall
You just pretend that you dont see her at all
You wanna tell her how much you care
You wanna call her but you just dont dare
Love rules, ooo love rules
Out in the parking lot with all the guys
Dont ever let em see the tears in your eyes
Shes got a date tonight and it aint you
So you go out there and you get one too
Love rules, ooo love rules
Love rules, yeah love rules
You wish you didnt have so much to feel
Its much too scary and its all too real
All your friends are out havin fun
Sometimes you think that youre the only one
That love rules, ooo love rules
While everybodys out makin time
You cant help thinkin youre the last in line
Shes the finest thing youve ever seen
You wrap your arms around her in your dreams
When she smiles it brings you to your knees
You wanna tell her but you always freeze
Shes in the back seat but youre much too shy
Youd give the world to be an older guy
Love rules, ooo love rules
Love rules, yeah love still rules
Love rules, ooo love rules
Love rules, love rules love rules
Love rules

Last Chance
A cold day in december
And im still here alone
I look trough my window and I surrender
Should be gone
But I have no place to go
Chorus:
Last chance to get up
Last chance to go
Last chance to get up and go
Last chance to get up
Last chance to go
Last chance to get up and go
If there were someone
Id hold her
If there was love
Id let it take me away
But I just stay here alone
Chorus:
Last chance to get up
Last chance to go
Last chance to get up and go
Last chance to get up
Last chance to go
Last chance to get up and go
I feel nothing I feel no pain
I feel no joy nor hurt inside
I only have myself to blame
If I see that the worlds passed me by
Chorus:
Last chance to get up
Last chance to go
Last chance to get up and go
Last chance to get up
Last chance to go
Last chance to get up and go

A Chance
(dean dillon/royce porter)
Girl, dont you know its all I can do
To keep my hands off of you
Anytime youre around
And when the stars come out at night
I dream of holdin you tight
Everytime I lay down
It feels so good to me to have you this bad
The only other thing I wish I had was
A chance
A chance
To tell you how I feel about you
How it feels to live without a chance
A chance
To tell you Ill love you forever
Knowing that Ill never have a chance
Sometimes reality hurts
And you wonder if lifes worth living at all
Knowing no matter how much you care
Youll never have a prayer
Of having what you want
At least Ive been close enough I could taste
Beauty at its best but never a trace of
A chance
A chance
To tell you how I feel about you
How it feels to live without a chance
A chance
To tell you Ill love you forever
Knowing that Ill never have a chance
A chance
A chance
To tell you Ill love you forever
Knowing that Ill never have
The chance
