There is no reality of consciousness independent of the effects of various vehicles of content on subsequent action (and hence, of course, on memory).

Temporary vehicles.

We are all temporary vehicles
On a road to Jerusalem.
Temporary vehicles.
Ah la
Temporary vehicles.
In time of sun.
We all run to fields of gold.
We are all temporary vehicles
In this theatre of dreams.
Falling through this
Stage of fright.
Temporary vehicles.
On a road to ruin,
Of age and decay
Temporary vehicles
In this body of sin,
True soul of love
Lives within.

Karma of the Hindu

Karma is the law of cause and effect,
The third law of Newton in operation.
Every action has a reaction
But Karma is a little more than that.

Like deeds, one’s thoughts too have repercussions.
The effects cause subsequent reactions
That form a chin wherein one would be caught.
The one will get back what one has thrown.

If the theory is true or not, I don’t know.
It lends harmony, builds ethics and pride
And installs shame as a powerful weapon.
Fear Karma if not the god at least.

The Peanut-Butter Cookie

-So what happened to him?
-How should I know. It was long ago.
-A memory. Awful-is consciousness just circular memory? Is reality?
-Memory and will. And sex, of course, implementing both. Erase memory, you still have will. Reality is something different, though. I can see him like yesterday.
Are you sure you didn't dream him up? That what you told me wasn't a figment?
Yes, I'm sure. It's one of those things you don't forget. I was five, maybe six. It was frosty cold. Scalding cold, you might say-bearable if you had a stout coat. My breath came out in smoky plumes. It was New Year's day. Everyone was excited and hung from the night before. The sky was blue and cloudless. I was content.
-Hmmmm. Where was this?
Broad Street. Philadelphia.
-We were watching the parade. My first. There was something magical about it-those never-ending platoons of marchers in tights, all strumming banjos. The sun shone on their sequins and made them gleam....it was dizzying!
-Wow!
-...and the fake bird tails-peacock tails made out of fake feathers. Everyone had one. Like the tails of lyre-birds, they were...
-Of what kind of bird?
-and the banjos, strumming, strumming. And the curiously hollow horns. The sound came in waves, fading into the north and coming on again from the south.
-Jeez. Where were your mom and pop?
-I don't know. Suddenly they were gone. Maybe I repressed them.
-Gone when he came along?
-Exactly. I was standing on a curb in a crush of people...
-What was he wearing?
-An urchin suit out of Dickens. Out of Central Casting. He could have been Peter Pan's understudy. I have the impression he was barefoot, but that's hardly likely.
-How old....

Does God There Us Await?

perceive the cosmos
is grounded pervaded
by mind intelligence
perceive Quantum Theory
denies the concept
reality the world
is composed of objects
whose existence

is independent
of human consciousness
quantum mechanics
facts established by
precise experiments
decrees key to reality
reality is state of mind
quantum mechanics

decrees basic components
of objects particles
electrons quarks
are not 'self-existent'
quantum physics
decrees 'ultimate reality'
exists but is not
embedded in space time

therefore in what
form reality will we exist?
beyond this life pod
illusion when we shed
body matter restraint
step outside space time
into limitless eternity
does God there us await?

We have reversed the usual classical notion that the independent "elementary parts" of the world are the fundamental reality, and that the various systems are merely particular contingent forms and arrangements of these parts. Rather, we say that inseparable quantum interconnectedness of the whole universe is the fundamental reality, and that relatively independent behaving parts are merely particular and contingent forms within this whole.

I get a lot of action scripts. I get low-budget vehicles that will end up right on the video shelf. I want to do movies that I want to talk about, that I'm proud of, but I also want to make a living.

His mother had often said, When you choose an action, you choose the consequences of that action. She had emphasized the corollary of this axiom even more vehemently: when you desired a consequence you had damned well better take the action that would create it.

The drowsy effects

Liqueur is sought
For its drowsy effects
Rather than for its
Early electrifying effects.
Woman is sought
For her drowsy effects,
Not for stimulating effects.

51. On “Bridge Over a Pool of Water Lilies” by Monet

Transparent Bridge
between
reality and reality
across
people’s dream
Time is frozen on the bridge

In the dream,
memory
reflects the trees, the grass
and leaves and water lilies and the bridge
memory
begins from inside the trees
and ends at reality
when the wind comes in

Making Love With Memories

You poked my blurring eye,
Let me lift your mushy breast.

We aged onwards
While you stroked flaccidity –
Recalling decades of
Blood-gorged coming, shuddering to boot.

I kissed a venerable mouth
Crammed with falsities –
Once brilliant keys
Guarded by crimson lips
Washed by a sensual tongue.

And so we writhed in wrinkles,
Tiring effort, and
Memories.
