America has global trade with plenty of nations that provide inexpensive labor, but it's better for us when they're in our own hemisphere, rather than sending that business halfway around the world.

I believe in an America that is on the march — an America respected by all nations, friends and foes alike — an America that is moving, doing, working, trying — a strong America in a world of peace. That peace must be based on world law and world order, on the mutual respect of all nations for the rights and powers of others and on a world economy in which no nation lacks the ability to provide a decent standard of living for all of its people.

That level of trade deficit throttles real growth in our country and continues the unfortunate path of selling out America. We are not winning the global trade war, we are losing it badly.

Ultimately, the basic issue is whether America will provide global leadership that springs from the unity and the integrity of the American people, or whether extremist doctrines, the manipulation of the truth, will define America's role in the world. At stake is nothing less than our nation's soul. … But I am not discouraged. I really am not. I do not despair for our country. I never do. I believe, as I always have, the essential decency and compassion and common sense of the American people will prevail.

Halfway round The World
(carly simon)
Thank you for informing me
That Ive been banned from canada
It comes as no suprise to me
Since last week it was africa
Since youve been ambassador
Theres trouble at the border
La la la la la la la halfway round the world
Its amusing still it makes me wince
Your face is like a scimitar
When accidentally eye to eye
You shoot a look of vinegar
What could I have done to you
To mkae you act the way you do
La la la la la la la halfway round the world
For whatever reason
You would keep me
Halfway round the world
I believe its like some kind of compliment
I must be quite a girl
Quite a girl
La la la la la la la halfway round the world
Once upon a time you swore youd love me
til the end of the world
Now, nowhere is far enough away for you
I must be quite a girl
Quite a girl...
La la la la la la la halfway round the world

The United Conference of Hemispheres
How about...
The United States?
'No.
That's what we're called now! '
Oh...
You're right.
I forgot.
Well..
How about,
The United Federation of Americas?
'Hmmm...
Now that does have a ring.
With Canada, Mexico...
And the current United States.
I like the sound of it! '
Or...
How about,
The United Western Hemisphere?
'YES!
That's brilliant.
We'll have a meeting this weekend,
To discuss it!
But we must go slowly with this.
The people are already going nuts over the economy!
But I do love this idea.
We'll have the United Northern Hemisphere.
The United Eastern Hemisphere.
And the United Southern Hemisphere.
Whenever we come to meet...
We'll call ourselves,
The United Conference of Hemispheres!
Pass that by President Obama.
See if he approves before the announcement is made!
We must consolidate all nations as soon as possible.'

Sonnet- The World Today(1)
Oh, to what has this world come to, these days?
Nations expanding nuclear arsenals!
Terrorists and drug-lords active always!
Bomb culture fast spreading its tentacles!
Global security has been threatened;
Poor nations are suppressed by the rich ones!
The abyss of world trade has been deepened;
They dig the earth to find the soil’s true sons!
Computers have turned one’s life fast-forward!
Robots do much more things, men used to do;
Human beings have become too wayward;
One nation plans the other’s Waterloo!
Money-power rules all facets of life!
With mind’s peace lost, man is in utter strife.

Global Pt. II: Global-I-Nation
I am global
Nobody can stop me
No election’s gimmicks, nor the cynics
And surely not the hopeful
I am global
I mass produce misery
By the truckload I touch those
Too basic for delivery
While handing, then branding
Them all with all our livery
They’ll risk and bleed to fill the need
For the next thing doomed to history
I am global
I work to kill jobs
Sending companies overseas
Turning people into mobs
But they never stay for a lower pay
Too small to pull corn off the cob
Why should I cry, be in favor of labor?
I’ll bring robots in to sob
I am global
I set aside to squander
The futures of the losers
Too broke to money launder
Listen to the wail ‘I’m too big to fail’
While my last scruple flies out and wanders
My cash is made ‘fore your life is saved
Hmm…So much for first responders
I am global
I lie inside a network
Within the phone, within your home
I take away the guesswork
Of what you do and if you knew
That previous your chest hurt
To keep you right and living life
As thrilling as a desk clerk
I am global
I bar any invention
I take resources to raze ‘free’ forces
I’m larger than dissension
I speak in tongues of bourgeois slums
I invade all intentions
I eat small fish like a sushi dish
And starve you for attention

I Believe In America
I Believe In America…., we’re a nation of hopes and dreams…..,
Sweet freedom will fill our needs…., I Believe In America.
I Believe In America…., I believe we must fight for peace….,
My faith in us will never cease…., I Believe In America.
With His strength from up above…,
We’ll prevail on our massive quest…,
Our nation breathes kindness and love…..,
We’ll lead our world to happiness.
I Believe In America…, we are united in democracy….,
Defeating evil and hypocrisy…., I Believe In America.
Our Lord is watching every move we make…..,
I know He’ll help us do our best….,
Guiding us with every step we take….,
Because our lives are truly blessed.
I Believe In America…., we’re a nation of hopes and dreams…..,
Sweet freedom will fill our needs…., I Believe In America.

Global
I am global
My aims may have a high value
But I’m no noble
I am global
I bring the world together
Like pieces of a puzzle
And support all freedoms
But will gladly put a muzzle
To the peace that dares speak out of turn
You think the planet’s warm?
Wait ‘til you get burned
I am global
I move entire nations
By moving just a few
To see things they otherwise wouldn’t
If it weren’t for my view
And to the blind, willing, and able
I say, war is always an option, sitting
On a very convincing table
I am global
I care for the environment
And hug a tree a day
Right before I chop it down
To construct toll booths, oh, and a freeway
Because paving the way ahead
Means making the world greener
For tomorrow, but today, mainly for my beamer
I am global
I’m concerned about life
Even though I can’t die
My hard work makes your living better
I’m pretty sure that I can’t lie
Some falsely think I’m full of scorn
For rules, property, and people
But I can’t help but smile when a new baby is born
I am global
I’m everywhere and nowhere
I’m in your face and unseen
I’m everyone and no one
I’m germ-free and unclean
I’m everything and nothing
I’m in the lead and on your side
Keep your seat back, close your eyes
And let me take you for a ride

Meet Me Half Way
In a lifetime
Made of memories
I believe
In destiny
Every moment returns again in time
When Ive got the future on my mind
Know that youll be the only one
Meet me halfway
Across the sky
Out where the world belongs
To only you and i
Meet me halfway
Across the sky
Make this a new beginning of another life.
In a lifetime
There is only love
Reaching for the lonely one
We are stronger when we are given love
When we put emotions on the line
Know that we are the timeless ones
Meet me halfway
Across the sky
Out where the world belongs
To only you and i
Meet me halfway
Across the sky
Make this a new beginning of another life.
Meet me halfway
Across the sky
Out where the world belongs
To only you and i
Meet me halfway
Across the sky
Make this a new beginning of another life.

There's a lot of exaggerated talk about CAFTA, but it's actually a fairly routine trade agreement. Although it involves fairly small nations, they're still more important trade partners than places like Australia or many other larger nations.

Greatest of the Great
Great, America Great
The god of all nations
Lord of all states
Voice of the voiceless
Strength of the weak
Eyes of the blind
You are the lion claws of the earth
The un-slumbering eagle eyes ever awake
Your fang, a devastating missile to injustice
Great America, great
Lead America, lead on
Abolisher of slave trade
Installer of rights
Enforcer of justice
Light to the dark world
Terror to the terrorist
Spine of the human rights
Pursuer of justice for humanity
Slaver freer
The land of freedom for all
Blanket of naked
Hope of the hopeless
With you, opportunity is not a waste
In you talent is celestially optimized
Great America, great
Long live great fathers that begot great leaders
With you, color is fashion
Content is valued
With you gender is style
Age is number
Religion is choice
Freedom is full
My eyes hope to see you someday
My foot itches for you
Though terrors many are in the world
But with you all hope is not lost
Great America
Keeper of peace
Great America
My gentle giant
Great America, o my greatest hero
The fairer morale of the earth
Great America, hope of the unborn generation
Live on and lead on
Great America, the greatest of the great.

America
(Francis Scott Key)
Oh, say, can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched were so
Gallantly streaming?
America, America, America
America, America, America
And the rocket's red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
Oh, say, does that star
Spangled banner yet wave
Over the land of the free
And the home of the brave!
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America, America
America, America
ooohhh
