When we did a lot of that Motown stuff there were four of us on the front line. When we started the evening we'd start from one end of the band and just go along. The lead singer would change all the time. That's the first time that I actually managed to put it into a record.

Marty loved the sound of the stolen mandolin.
Somebody took it on a dare in the night-time.
Run up to the radio, calling out to the wind.
Now, bring it, bring it back at least an hour before flight time.
It was a souvenir, but it was a right arm missing.
Swap a woodwork rhythm for a humbucking top line.
Big Riff, rough boy, wants to be a singer in a band.
A little slow in the brain box, but he had a quick right hand.
Run left, run right -- everywhere he look --
nobody watching, no, but that was all he took last night.
Running on the power of a stolen mandolin.
Steal a little inspiration. Steal a little muscle.
Will he wake in the morning, wondering -- was it really worth it?
So make a little deal, Yeah, make a little hustle.
Ringing on the radio -- got a proposition for those English boys.

Badfinger
Bandfinger is a British rock band,
Paul McCartney writes a song that makes them land,
land on top of the charts, they are off to a great start.
New manager is signed, but all money is spent,
they are famous but can't pay the rent,
Two band members want to leave this life,
one left a note, the other does decide
he wants to be with him,
So does something really grim.
I meet Joey Molland who is lead singer now,
He's at the Aurora Borealis studios.
I go to see Joey's new Badfinger band,
at the Taste of MN and in Wisconsin Cheese land,
I had already met Bad Finger's bass electric guitarist and Mark is his name,
I record my audio books at Cottage House which is not lame.
In the front of the Cottage House is a mansion quite charming
it has offices in it and an alarm for alarming.
Anyways, I recorded "Razel Sings the Blues" and
"Unfreezing Prince Emeray" and "Sarah's Special Birthday".
Even audio of "UniCandle's Flame"
Mark's daughter was in "Sarah's Special Birthday",
She played Sarah who talked to Melodie,
she was a little shy, but she was really sweet.
Now, best wishes to Mark's daughter for her artist career,
She was an original artist and very sincere.
