Every pessimist who ever lived has been buried in an unmarked grave. Tomorrow has always been better than today, and it always will be.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow it is
Tomorrow we will
See where the roads they lead
Tomorrow's my dream
Tomorrow's the better me
Tomorrow never may be
Looking inside tomorrow's head
Tomorrow pretends to be brain dead
Tomorrow wants me to long for him
I spend today seeing tomorrow's beam
Tomorrow is there
Yesterday's tomorrow is here
Yet tomorrow I seek
My lamp's got enough oil and wick
Tomorrow where are you?
I've seen today but I look out for tomorrow's dew
Not today, I'll take care of that tomorrow
Tomorrow I'm here, tomorrow you're today
From 5years old, I'm 50years old one more day
The hour-glass spins and sands they turn
The clock it ticks, the second-hand warns
Tomorrow is today gone
What have you done? .

Commandant Gideon Scheepers

Not only was he assassinated
as a ill man captured in the field
by a British firing squad

but was buried in the ground
in a grave unmarked
planted without a coffin,

buried like rubbish,
or rotting dead meat,
like weed
without anyone heeding
where they laid him down.

Rising Today

Today I burn in the cold waters of grace
Tomorrow I drown in the hot flames of lust

Today I am what I am
Tomorrow I will be what I was

Reminders of mortality
waters of grace that burn me
flames of lust that drown me
let my epitaph read
TIME DEVOURS ALL

We burned in the blue waters of the Pacific
We drowned in the dark forests of Germany

We lie buried in the swollen mists of time
our resting places unmarked by granite-
we learned that there are no honors
without difficulties in this life

Make Tomorrow

Put on the dress in which you were married
Pull down the veil til your eyes are hid
Can you remember where we both came from
Let us do as we did
Look at tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Put back the photo under your window
Put down the phone that you hold in your hand
Put away these things that stand in between us
Let us be what we can
When it seems
Hopeless
When it seems
Hopeless
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
What better measure of what you were doing here
Then what you can leave behind
All the children of your children's children
Do you ever think what they're going to find
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the sacred meet the scared
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the dreamer's dream is dared
In each of us
A dream can burn like the sun
Let's try it all one more time
To get this lesson learned
Sitting up in a spaceship
Looking down at the earth
You wonder what they all stuggling for
What's it all really worth
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow

Not today, not tomorrow

I may want to strangle you down
I may want to hit you hard
But not today, not also tomorrow

I may be tempted to break the promise
I could give no damn for all the roses
But not today, not also tomorrow

I may need to bleed out my heart
I may cry out my desperate objection
But not today, not also tomorrow

I could take the short cut way
I could give up the wrong thing
But not today, not also tomorrow

I could blame all mighty god
I could run away and hide
But not today, not also tomorrow

I could be the cold blooded woman
I could be blind for all the reason
But not today, not also tomorrow

I may have to release my anger
I may not have to hold it anymore
But not today, not also tomorrow

I could just walk away
I could leave to you all
But not today, not also tomorrow

I may beat some senses on you
I may challenge your stubborn view
But not today, not also tomorrow

Today - the Yesterday of Tomorrow

today is the yesterday
of tomorrow
today is also the tomorrow
of yesterday

yesterday was the today
of the then tomorrow

tomorrow which is the now today
is the tomorrow of yesterday

what is yesterday's yesterday?
what is the today of today?

what will be the tomorrow of tomorrow?

yesterday made today
today is creating tomorrow
the now today will be the
yesterday of the incoming tomorrow
and that tomorrow will become today

but tomorrow is yet unknown

for there is no today without yesterday
and no yesterday without today

but tomorrow will be unknown

Sex Partner

You were like my sex partner but,
The wings of love came and took you away;
And there you lay in another man's bed,
And like yesterday when i heard your cry.

Today you are gone too soon and,
Tomorrow you will be buried in the grave of lovers;
For you left me with a very ad note.

A Song For My Funeral

A Song For My Funeral

when they buried him
a young boy
in a cardboard box
somewhere in the green mountain
there was a song nobody knew
there was a song
unknown and unsung

I know the song
it has been silent for many years
buried in an unmarked grave
a dead boy does not age

I shall be writing the song
for my funeral to come
it will be there
for you to sing
wherever you are

Commandant Gideon Scheepers

They tried to send him to hell,
as if he was one of them,
a traitor, a rebel.

The British killed a captured ill man,
that they came across in the veldt
without decency, or any military law being honoured.

They shot a Boer commandant through the heart
and without a funeral note,
they hurried, to get him buried.

A brave man devoted
to his country, to his God,
whose burial place was not noted.

Turning sod after sod
with spades, they dumped him
in a unmarked grave

in the dead of night
without using light
they threw ground upon his chest,

laid him to rest without any honour
and left him alone
without a marking stone.

[References: The rank of Commandant is equivalent to that of Lieutenant Colonel. The heroic story of Gideon Scheepers during the second Anglo-Boer war, who was captured while being ill in the veldt as a normal combatant, but treated like a rebel and shot by the British, who buried him in a unmarked hole in the ground.]

Each Day Lived Has Been a Dream

Why do you wish to know,
What will happen tomorrow?
You are not living today,
To appreciate what tomorrow brings.

Each day lived has been a dream.
A wish often disregarded.
And you were not prepared to start,
To fulfill your desires...
Or take part.

Each day lived has been a dream.
If your heart is not in it...
Tomorrow will come and go.
And you will not realize,
Or know you have benefitted...
And grow.

Tomorrow will Hatch

When tomorrow hatch
The future is born

Tomorrow is rind in the shell of uncertainty

What tomorrow unknown but the syllable of fate

Tomorrow some will grace
And some will fall

If today stale
Tomorrow might be fair

If today smiles
Tomorrow might be gloom

Tomorrow might not hatch
For some fate are dashed

Tomorrow is like today, but tomorrow
Tomorrow will sleep

Tomorrow is but hope.

I Dont Live Today

Will I live tomorrow
Well, I just cant say
Will I live tomorrow
Well, I just cant say
But I know for sure
I dont live today
No sun coming through my windows
Felt like Im sitting at the bottom of a grave
No sun coming through my window
Felt like Im sitting at the bottom of a grave
I wish youd hurry up and rescue me
So I can be on my miserable way.
I dont live today
Its such a shame
To waste your time away like this
Will I live tomorrow
Well, I just cant say
Will I live tomorrow
Well, I just cant say
But I know for sure
I dont live today.

My Father Buried My Sister........Today

My father buried my sister today
My soul burns red with pain
No longer will I touch her face
Or caress her skin again

My father buried my sister today
God, what have I done wrong
To have her stolen from my arms
When my faith in you was strong

My father buried my sister today
Thank God I have another
I couldn't walk this path alone
Every breath is a struggle

My father buried my sister today
She was just 20
Searing, ripping, tearing ache
My emotions overcome me

To God above, how I pray
These words by her not repeated
My father buried my daughter today

Tomorrow Never Gets Here

Why say wait till tomorrow,
Tomorrow never comes,
you get up you go to sleep,
And its today and always today.
There`s no tomorrow.
So why is it called:
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,
Tomorrow never gets here.
we are stuck on today for ever and ever.

Wrote about what everyone does :)

Just Today?

Just today, can I dream a little?
Just today, can we pretend we are in love?
Just today, can I wish a little?
Just today, can my wish come true?

And you write, and you dream
And every time you talk, I wish it was me
But you think, you think for her
And I don't kno her but she is really pretty for sure
And her smile perfect it must be,
You see it once, and more u want to see
And her presence,
Is her presence more fun than mine?
Do u call her your sunshine?

And trust me, I really wish for you
I wish, she will fall in love with you too
Just not today, but starting tomorrow
because tomorrow-
Tomorrow I will stop wishing & dreaming,
Tomorrow I will go back to being myself,
Tomorrow I will take it back, all this pain
Tomorrow we will go back to being strangers again!
But just today,
Can we be more than what we were?
Just today can I be more than her?

The Ballad Of Cookie McBride

well gather round people
and listen to this
i am a hermit of burial ridge
once i was shaven and worked every day
but the call of the wild just lured me away
singing hi hi ho it's a water a day
on my way to an unmarked grave
hi hi ho it's a water a day
on my way to an unmarked grave
there's pals at my table and mud on the floor
there's bears in the area and wolves at the door
their singing a song about cookie mcbride
who goes out a-trapping and then tails their hide
hi hi hey it's a water a day
on my way to an unhappy grave
hi hi hey it's a water a day
on my way to a rain filled grave
so if you're planning a natural trip
don't call up snooping on burial ridge
the searchers will come and discover your hide
high, wet and hanging like cookie mcbride
hi hi hey it's a water a day
on your way to an unhappy grave
hi hi hey it's a water a day
who will remember the money you saved?
i'm in over your head
you're in over your head

Life

I've seen the light and I've
seen the fate
And I walked away
Still I'm ok
I remember the pain inside
from the day when my mother died
Never went away
It's still here today
[Chorus]
Ya born alone
Ya die alone
And still we live on
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
And my baby he went to sleep
in his mother's arms we pray to keep
He shyed away
He never lived a day
Best friend call me up to say
with a gun in his hand said he's goin' crazy
Said you'll be ok
he still died the next day
[Chorus]
Ya born alone
Ya die alone
And still we live on
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
I stood in line
I've lost my pride
I've made the change
I'm a better man today
Death brings life
Still we try
To live a better way
Before your dyin day
[Chorus]
Ya born alone
Ya die alone
And still we live on
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yesterday is a memory
Tomorrow is a vision
But today
it's a bitch
Yea yea
Yesterday is a memory
But today
it's a bitch
[fades]
Yea yea
Yesterday is a memory
tomorrow is a vision...

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is what tomorrow is
Nothing shall change that

When tomorrow comes things will happen
Things both good and bad

Things may happen tomorrow because of today
But looking at today as judgment of tomorrow won't help

Tomorrow will never stop coming
No matter how slow the day seems to go

Tomorrow is what tomorrow is
You do not know what will happen

Tomorrow will always come after today
So why not give tomorrow a chance?

Tommorrow

I hope tomorrow won't come
I want this night to last forever
If i were to die tomorrow
Then i would have wished i have more of today
less of tomorrow
Does it have to come
It could stay today forever you know...
I will just do the same thing over and over and over
it could work right
i love today not tomorrow
i guess tomorrow would end up turnng into today
i will move on until today
okay
live laugh and love
hope laugh and cry
through the days
It will be today will
but it will still never be tomorrow

My Depression

Yesterday I made you upset
Today I feel so ungrateful
Tomorrow I'll say I'm sorry

Yesterday I was alone
Today I analyse why
Tomorrow I'll try and forget

Yesterday I said nasty things
Today I cant remember a word
Tomorrow I'll make it up to you

Yesterday I had no energy
Today I'm told I'm lazy
Tomorrow I need to search for motivation

Yesterday I said goodbye
Today I walked out of your life
Tomorrow I'll just have happy memories
