Clearly, the Chinese know that we want a good relationship with them.

Do Not Borrow Do Not Lend....
i've known a couple
they check on us if we're ok
we offer dinners for four
drinks for eight
the conversations are lively
from history to philosophy
later, they ask if we can help
about money on these difficult times
the Chinese know too well
to keep the good relationship
do not borrow do not lend
that is basic
the relationship ended
the Chinese know it too well.

Old Fashion Way
One woman, one man relationship, thats
the old fashion way, one woman, one man
relationship, thats the old fashion way,
and together they stay,
until their dying day-
One woman, one man relationship, thats
good and strong, one woman, one man
relationship thats good and strong,
thats the kind of relationship
that will last very long-
One woman, one man relationship,
thats what romance is all about,
One woman, one man relationship,
thats what romance is all about, the
old fashion way never goes
out of style,
like a candle that never burns out!

Relationship with God,
Relationship with God,
Relationship with God is a cure,
Inspiration,
It's greater than a man's,
GOd can shape your pattern than any other man,
He will redeem us with praises,
He will forgive us our debt's,
That we may learn what is good,
Change is good that we may prosper,
Iam weaker that I may understand truth,
Even looking at the World,
The great relationship is in God's Word's.

Chinese woman
When your eyes,
Meet mine,
You smile,
So fine.
The thought
Of being with you,
Excites me,
It’s all I wanna do.
Chinese woman,
I love you,
Chinese woman,
Why don’t you love me too?
Chinese woman,
Don’t go far away,
Chinese woman,
Why don’t you stay?
Every time,
You see me,
I try
to be funny.
I don’t understand,
You laugh and smile,
Yet I don’t hear from
You in a while.
Chinese woman,
I love you,
Chinese woman,
Why don’t you love me too?
Chinese woman,
Don’t go far away,
Chinese woman,
Why don’t you stay?
Days come
In and out.
Still I have
To shout.
Just so you
Look at me.
Just so you
Can see…
Chinese woman,
I love you,
Why don’t you love me too?
Chinese woman,
Don’t go away,
Why don’t you want to stay?
With me.
Chinese woman.
This poem, is actually the words to a song. I wrote them as lyrics first.

The Reason For The Split
To be in a relationship that ends,
For one to claim they do not know what happened...
Should not have been a relationship that began.
For someone not to be conscious,
Of their own relationship...
Could mean they do not wish to admit,
An activity or lack of providing it...
Was the reason for the split.
And...
If the other one involved in the same relationship,
Has a difficult time remembering it took place...
Well,
There is no need to continue a nosey probing.

Poetry: Ode of Good Wife
Ode of Good Wife
By Tang Poet Zhang Ji (768-830)
Translated by Laijon Liu 20090613
You know I have husband,
So you give me a pair of pearl.
I thank your touching thoughts,
So I tie them on my red coat.
My family dwells on tall building,
And they rest within the high walls;
My husband holds his sharp spear,
And guarding in the palace light.
I understand your heart clearly,
As reading the sun and the moon.
But I’ve sworn to serve my husband,
To be with him in life and death.
And now I must return these pearls,
They are bright as my falling tears.
I only have one thing to regret:
Why didn’t we meet before my marriage?
Note:
This poem is written in simple words, but talks about the controversial topic of love and marriage of society. From its surface that readers may think that poet praises the wife’s choice, but think again, the poet also feels pity about the wife’s condition that she choose to repay her husband to be with him, but refrain from thinking of her love that she really has feeling for. She knows how her family receives the benefit of her marriage, because her husband serves in palace. She is not materialistic at all, but she knows her husband loves her, so she has to hold her true will of pursuing for true love or someone she feels for. Yes, she is a good wife, for she put herself on the altar of love, yet she can’t just privately build another relationship with the man who gift her “a pair of pearl”.62 Chinese characters that shoots a love movie, and he does not give his readers his answer, but only to raise a question. Not only that, this is a political poem, that the poet composes this poem to refuse a minister’s invitation to join the new political party in the Tang court, Chinese poet often use woman and man’ relationship for metaphor of political and social relationship (Like Contemporary Singer Cui Jian’s song ‘Have Nothing To My Name’) , as officials to emperor, students to teacher… but even we just read the poem from its surface, still it brings the same question of principal of loyalty and friendship.

Chinese Girls
(jack hues)
A star is shining
Into my eyes
It will not fall
A star is wise
Across the harbor
Perfumed hills
The silent waters
And all is still
Oh yeah
Chinese girls stand, see right through you
Chinese girls can sway
Chinese girls will melt your heart
And take your breath away
Chinese girls would dance with god
Chinese girls dont care
Put their hands around their heads
And through their chinese hair
She is not moving
She does not talk
Birds in her hair
Where she walks
And when she gazes
Theres a pearl
I will not forget
My chinese girl

Chinese Table
May I join you in an hour?
The table seems laid and ready for sweet-and-sour.
The Chinese food is grand to the stomach and taste,
We dine forever in grandness, so much in haste.
For it, the Chinese bear the wife in the garden,
This is where the herbs and vegetables are to harden.
They can be great to the health,
Much more of a stealth
Can be gained in a day
Or maybe for the say.
This hour of dining is exactly allowed
For the Chinese are good when bowed.

Delusional Relationship
You were trying to find the bad,
and I was trying to find the good,
I was hoping maybe you were stable,
You said I should…
“Do this to make you happy,
accuse me of this-
to justify your right.
Right because you were guilty of
doing the things you accused me
of doing in the deep of the night.
Right in your delusion of what you
thought I was, but in reality you never
Knew,
and you never will.
For the fantasy of me
is what you really knew.
Be done with this Delusional
Relationship and bury it like a dead corpse,
you can’t dig up a dead relationship
filled with regret and remorse.
The relationship was never really alive,
so why even try to justify?
There was never a chance from the the start,
all your manipulative games kept us apart.
The End.

Your Relationship With Nature
Your relationship with Nature speaks volumes about you
Do you only see Nature as a means to financial gain or are you one of those who
Love Nature for her beauty and love her wildlife and her trees
And her rivers, lakes and mountains and her fields and flowers and bees?
Your relationship with Nature tells of the sort of person that you are
Do you see Nature's protectors as those who have gone too far
In their dispute with the developer in their fight for every tree
If this be so you support the environmental vandals or so 'twould seem to me?
Your relationship with Nature about you more can say
Than all of your friends and enemies can or so 'twould seem that way
For your apathy to Nature tells of your inner strife
And your attitude to Nature is your attitude to life.
Your relationship with Nature says far more about you
Than anyone else of you can say as their words may not be true
For if you love Mother Nature and with her live in harmony
Then you are working for the good of all of humanity.

China Town Work Ethic
China Town has many more business's I do say
because hard working Chinese people made it that way.
Having a good work ethic that made America strong
Chinese Americans work their business hours extra long.
Now I do patronize a Chinese Health food store
I bought herbs there and they gave me health advice galore.
So Thank the Chinese people for bringing customs and expertise
for they too have right to live the American dream.
