My parents told me I would become a doctor and then in my spare time I would become a concert pianist. So, both my day job and my spare time were sort of taken care of.

Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
Written by christine mcvie.
Why not lie here in my arms
And listen to the night
You must know you have certain charm
And I feel the time is right
So spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Now I know that I feel much more
Oh in every single way
And its not the same as before
It gets stronger everyday
So spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Now I know how the sun must feel
Every time it shines
And now I know this is real
And I want you to be mine
So spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little (just a little bit)
Spare me a little of your love (of your love)
Just a little bit

Spare Me A Little Of Your Love
Why not lie here
In-a my arms
And just listen to the night.
You must know that you have
Certain charms,
And I feel,
And I feel the time is right.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
And I know that i
Feel much more
In-a
Every single way,
[ended / and its ? ] not the same
As before, it gets
Stronger [stronger],
Stronger every day.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Now I know how the
Sun must feel
Every time it shines,
And I know that
This is real and i
Want you to be mine.
So, spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
Come on, spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.
One more time,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little,
Spare me a little of your love.

Guess What? ...Don't Care! ! !
Guess what
Don't care
I'm right
You'll spare
You are
Crazy
And I am
A lady
All the
Cool things
You break
I clean
When will
You be
Respectful
To me
I'll make
One last
Prediction
You'll pass
You stink
I know
You'll be
Down low
Guess what
Don't care
I'm right
You'll spare
Guess what (Guess what)
Don't care (Don't care)
I'm right (I'm right)
You'll spare (You'll spare)
All this
Time I
Am trying
To tell
You that
I don't
Care what
You think
All the
Time I
Am right
You die
Joking
You look
Like you
Could use
A day too
Guess what
Don't care
I'm right
You'll spare

I DON'T CARE! ! !

No Time to Spare for God?
The precious time, God gave to us,
We find is not enough at all!
But we have time for everything,
Except to spare for God!
We have much time for sin and vice;
We have the time for things in vain;
We have the time for earthly joys,
Except to spare for God!
We find the time for worldly chores;
We find the time traditions seek;
We find the time for futile things,
Except to spare for God!
We have the time for fun and games;
We have the time for future plans;
We find the time for traveling,
Except to spare for God!
Yet, God gave us enough of time
For earthly wants, and divine needs;
The Lenten time is meant for God;
Give most to soul and God!

I was going to be a concert pianist, and when I was in high school, my parents were scared to death that I would focus too much on that too soon. And that I'd end up in some sort of dead end, and not fulfilling whatever potential they thought I had.

Obsession
Obsession
The pianist Albert has got a job in Loulé last time
I saw him in Faro and fell over a pollard, he said
he was not my father. When he spotted me he ran
into a café, they let him run through the kitchen
into the back, a dead end; I waited for him there.
“If you don´t stop following me I will have to call
the police, I´M NOT YOUR FATHER.” To mollify
him I said: “ I know you are not, but I do admire
your piano playing. ”This pleased him and we had
a drink and he told me he came from Yugoslavia,
had wanted to be a concert pianist, but there was
no money, so he ended up as a café pianist… just
as my father I thought but said nothing… then he
had to leave for work, saw him walk out of my life
just as my father did, there was nothing I could do
to stop this man who refused to be my dad.

The Madman
'I should go mad,' he said, 'in such a place!
The lack of company, the loneliness!
Nothing but trees to stare you in the face;
Nothing to do; no life; no pep; no pace!
I'd die of melancholy.' I said 'Yes?'
'Why, yes,' said he. 'The suburbs can be bad.
But this? Why, heavens, man! I should go mad.'
'What do you do?' he said. 'How find a way
To pass the time? Of course, the country's great
For rest and that' (I wished he'd go away;
I had a hundred things to do that day).
'Oh, well,' I said, 'I think; I meditate
And - ' 'Think? A man can't always think
Not all the time. Good lord! I'd take to drink!
'I'd go stone mad,' he said. 'I know the trees
And birds and sky, and all that sort of stuff
Please for a while. But man can't live on these.
I've got my love of nature's harmonies;
But, spare me days, man, nature's not enough.
You work, you say. But then, when work is done,
What in the thunder do you do for fun?
'Ah, well,' he said. 'It's peaceful, that I'll say.
Er - what's the time? Good heavens, I must go!
I've got a crowd of men to see to-day;
I'll miss the train! I must be on my way.
Can't spare another half a minute. So,
Good-bye. I wonder you're not dilly, lad.'
'Ah, that's just it,' I told him. 'I am mad.'

Anything You Can Spare
If you have any left of her kisses
When youre through with your latest affair
Dont let them just waste, I know how they taste
Ill take anything you can spare
And if you have a few idle moments
If youre lonely and nobodys there
Ill gladly fill in til you find a new friend
Ill take anything you can spare
Yes, ill even take some heartaches from you
Though ive already more than my share
I love you all the time, so baby keep me in mind
Ill take anything you can spare

You know Im down and out
Spare some change

Never permit a dichotomy to rule your life, a dichotomy in which you hate what you do so you can have pleasure in your spare time. Look for a situation in which your work will give you as much happiness as your spare time.

Spare Change
'Spare change, spare change, ' I call out
Shaking the few pieces of worthless metal in my can
In order to get a passer-by's attention
But they pay no mind to me
They act as if I was some kind of transparent figure
As if I was not even human
But a sickly animal
And those who look either shake their heads
Or go into a fit of laughter
I despise them for their ignorance
I loathe them for their lack of compassion
'Spare change, spare change, ' I call out
Holding a brown, battered sign
But once again they ignore me
If all the world's a stage and I'm just an actor
How did I get stuck playing the beggar
Why was I born an Untouchable
Each day I stand here
Each day they pass me
Like I was a statue or sign
But when faith seems lost
A saint comes along and adds a n ounce of hope to my Pandora's Box
'Spare change, spare change, ' I call out,
This time speaking with a voice louder than a male opera singer's
Yet the people are still oblivious of me
The naive children point and laugh at me
The drunks beat me
The businessmen look at me with stone faces
And with a cold heart, disregard me
The gangs bang on me
And the women, who are the worst of all
Just stare and shake their heads
'Spare change, spare change, ' I call out
But again no one listens
So I decide to pack up for the day
For no wants to help a bum
But as I head for the nearest shelter I wonder
Can anyone spare change?

I was much more interested in the orchestra than the piano, but I did become fairly proficient as a pianist and my teachers felt I had talent and wanted me to become a good concert pianist and earn my living that way.

Life Affair
(gardner cole/matthew garey)
Were off to the right start
Put your hand on my heart
Feel it beat with sweet intention
Dont tell me sit tight
Im too excited tonight
Every touch takes me to heaven
Got so much love inside, you know were gonna make it
Come here and turn the key, unlock all this extacy
Lets start a life affair
We have no time to spare
To show how much we care
Come on now lets start a life affair
You know Ill be right there
We make the perfect pair
High as a kite now
Ive got perfect sight now
I can see beyond forever
Its gonna be just you and me boy
Every day a new joy
Loving more than we can measure
So many dreams out there,
I know where we can find them
Cant wait a minute more,
Youre all Ive been waiting for
Lets start a life affair
We have no time to spare
To show how much we care
Come on now lets start a life affair
You know Ill be right there
We make the perfect pair
Dancing together this dance that lasts forever
Never been so in love
Eyes bright and open, a thousand new emotions
Raining down from above
Lets start a life affair
We have no time to spare
To show how much we care
Come on now lets start a life affair
You know Ill be right there
We make the perfect pair

Its Everywhere
Lookin for a love
Searchin everywhere
I cant get enough and I dont really care
If it takes a lot of waitin
cause Ive got the time to spare
Its gonna take a lot more lovin
But we got plenty of that around here.
Laughin heading home a woman could be fine
Flying back alone, I dont really mind
cause it gives me the time for thinking
How so many people just ruin their lives
Folks miss out on so much lovin
By picking it up before it arrives.
I cant see it but I know when its there
I can just feel it, its everywhere
I cant see it but I know when its there
I can just feel it, its everywhere.
Lookin for a love
Searchin everywhere
I cant get enough and I dont really care
If it takes a lot of waitin
cause Ive got the time to spare
Its gonna take a lot more lovin
But we got plenty of that around here.
I cant see it but I know when its there
I can just feel it, its everywhere
I cant see it but I know when its there
I can just feel it, its everywhere.

Lovey-Dovey
Must we face such fog and nonsense?
I'm not sorry you're in love, but spare me,
Spare us all, the gush of souls alloyed
And singing angels. Also, spare us,
When it's over, pits of hell and thunder
Crashing. You'll get by, and, being young,
Are sure to find somebody else whose
Eyes (and hands) will deeply probe,
And, in the process, I'm afraid,
Precipitate more fog.

Brother, Can You Spare A Dime
Once I built a railroad...made it run
Made it race against time
Once I built a railroad...now it's done
Brother, can you spare a dime
Once I built a tower...to the sun
Bricks...rivet...and lime
Once I built a tower...now it's done
Brother, can you spare a dime
Once in cocky suits
Gee, we looked swell
Full of that Yankee Doodle-dom
Half a million boots..they went
slogging through Hell
And I..I was a kid with a drum
Say, don't you remember..
They called me Al
It was Al all the time
Say, don't you remember
I'm your pal
Buddy, can you spare a dime.....

Immolated
Children of my happier prime,
When One yet lived with me, and threw
Her rainbow over life and time,
Even Hope, my bride, and mother to you!
O, nurtured in sweet pastoral air,
And fed on flowers and light and dew
Of morning meadows -spare, ah, spare
Reproach; spare, and upbraid me not
That, yielding scarce to reckless mood,
But jealous of your future lot,
I sealed you in a fate subdued.
Have I not saved you from the dread
Theft, and ignoring which need be
The triumph of the insincere
Unanimous Mediocrity?
Rest, therefore, free from all despite,
Snugged in the arms of comfortable night.

She Bought A Hat Like Princess Marina
Shes bought a hat like princess marinas
To wear at all her social affairs
She wears it when shes cleaning the windows
She wears it when shes scrubbing the stairs
But you will never see her at ascot
She cant afford the time or the fare
But shes bought a hat like princess marinas
So she dont care
Hes bought a hat like anthony edens
Because it makes him feel like a lord
But he cant afford a rolls or a bentley
He has to buy a secondhand ford
He tries to feed his wife and his family
And buy them clothes and shoes they can wear
But hes bought a hat like anthony edens
So he don t care
Buddy can you spare me a dime
My wife is getting hungry
And the kids are crying
This poverty is hurting my pride
Buddy can you spare me, buddy can you spare me a dime
Shes bought a hat like princess marinas
And her neighbors think it suits her a treat
But she hasnt any food in the larder
Nor has anybody else in the street
But to look at her youd think she was wealthy
cos she smiles just like a real millionaire
cos shes bought a hat like princess marinas
So she dont care, she dont care, she dont care, she dont care

Should Never Have Told Me
You should have never told me
That you love me
You should have never told me, told me, told me
That you care
Ever since that day I saw your lovely face
You were on my mind
I knew that one day I would make you love me
It was just a matter of time
Every night and every day, girl
Im thinking of you
Girl, I cant believe youre mine
Way you kiss, youre right on time
Should have never told me
That you love me
You should have never told me, told me, told me
That you care
If by chance I owned the whole world
Id give it to you
All im trying to say
Love you through and through
Girl, lets stay together for life
cause you are my sugar and spice
Should have never told me
That you love me
You should have never told me, told me, told me
That you care
Naw, baby
Oh, baby
Should have never told me
That you love me
Should have never told me, told me, told me
That you care
Should have never told me
That you love me
Should have never told me, told me, told me
That you care
Should have never told me
That you love me
