I do some concerts. At the moment, I'm being helped a lot by a gig I play in London, which is Pizza Express.

Pizza Pie
take and give the Pizza pie I like,
place in the plate the Pizza pie that break,
some looks fat but flat, for the Pizza pie
I share is sweet and delicious
one, two three, the Pizza Pie is fine,
the bucket I see is big and small like me,
other is given free and some is for sale
take a little bite, the smooth and sweet
Pizza pie is good for the whole merry day
have you ever broken a Pie that color
green, blue and like chocolate the color is
gray, but with the Pizza Pie I have is good
and tasty and nobody will say, I am not
hungry, come have one for two or three to
make you happy and everyone will always
shout have a happy day
Pizza Pie, Pizza Pie, the flavor of the
season and let everybody taste the Pizza
Pie I made is but as sweet and wonderful
snack for all children that is hungry
Hmmmm it’s yummy, come and join,
taste again the Pizza Pie is free …..

Pizza Express has been a real godsend for me. I've been working there for several years, six weeks a year. You can go to work every night and play. It's a nice little club. It's just about the right size for me, about 150 people.

Downtown Pizza
On Lake Ave. next to the Pelican,
you can have great dishes of Italian.
From pizza’s, subs to Calzones,
they deliver, they bring it to your home.
I have a photo of Razel and Mel,
posing on the counter with a pizza smell.
I have a slice of pizza and a mountain dew,
I watch t.v. and kick off my shoes.
They have signature white pizza with Stromboli meat,
stuffed with lots of cheese, pepperoni, it’s a treat.
Your dog can drink agua outside in a bowl,
while you wait for your order to go.
This is a laid back casual pizza joint,
they make great pizza and Italian dishes,
they won’t disappoint.

She would only eat the crust of the pizza Part 2
When ever I eat pizza I never eat the crust. But sometimes if the pizza tastes real good. Then I will eat the crust. But only sometimes. I do miss eating and sharong my pizza with my Mother. That was special time for me and her. And I will always cherish this memory with me forever. written and Posted 1/25/10 In the memory of my mother Esther Ferber KLayton

When we did concerts, we wanted them to be theatrical events - collaborations with designers, choreographers, and directors - because we thought traditional rock concerts were boring.

London
We came from the far North
summered in Crimea
deserted the armed forces
had to disappear
made it to the free West
on a chartered flight
so we could see what
we trained to fight
We were in London
"Let's do it - let's break the law!"
We were in London
Tell it like it is
We were in London
Tell it like it is
Looking for hard work
or credit card fraud
What do you expect from us?
We come from abroad
to get ourselves a new job
on a building-site
They work you so hard
but we trained to fight
We were in London
"Let's do it - let's break the law!"
We were in London
Tell it like it is
We were in London
"Let's do it - let's break the law!"
We were in London
Tell it like it is
My father fought in Afghanistan
His widow's pension ain't worth a damn
My mother works and goes home to cry
I want to live before I die
We were in London
"Let's do it - let's break the law!"
We were in London
Tell it like it is
We were in London
Tell it like it is

London
It was november 4th
I last held your hand
It seemed our time would last forever
You said dont ever leave
I thought youd never go
I wish I could just remember your name...
Youre just a memory now
Like all the ones before
But with your pain Ive had to suffer
Your eyes alight with flame
As the picture burns
I hear the screams from long ago
They cry remember, blood-red streaks on
Velvet throats at night
The streetlights fanned our trail of fame
Through
London london
The memories will never leave me
London london
All I see is you
London london
The cries in the night
Keep bringing me to
London london
Calling out to me
Oh theres some things in life I could never face
The worst is being alone
Sometimes I wish I could have taken your
Place my love
You know I dont want to live forever
Oh let me see you standing in the
Shadows once again
Well walk the streets like long ago in
London london
The fire in your eyes will be bringing me to
London london
All I need is you
The cries in the night keep ringing on in
London london
Calling out to you

Talking about the all night concerts, I did some of the first all night concerts back in the 60's with this little harmonium, and I also had saxophone taped delays.

Rock Band
Enjoying the pepperoni pizza slices from the pizza box
Guzzling one orange soda after another
We're wired for tonight
So let's rock
Grab a guitar
Grab a bass
Pick up the mic
Set up the drums
Put the game in the PS2
And let's rock
Song after song we play over and over, again and again
Hour after hour passes by
Yet, we have a lot of fun tonight
Even if we're out of our minds tonight
Feeling the way we do
We're a band
And we're rocking our world
Anyway we want to

New Thing From London Town
New thing from london town
Refugees of broken sound
The sound of breathing and crying hearts
This situation tears me apart.
The new police will find me soon
I cant hide inside this room
Im waiting for the boys to come
Then we can move out one by one.
New thing from london town.
New thing from london town
Nothing left to keep us down
We are not responsible
Someone pays and someone falls
We slide into the night
Silhouettes in a cold blue light
Take a look and look away
We need something we need to play.
New thing from london town.

It was really strange for me when I started to play concerts in America where the audiences were all sitting down.

A fan sent me a letter and a $10 bill. It's a short letter - all she said was, ""Hey, since it's harder for you to go out these days without getting photographed, here $10 for a pizza."" I was like, ""Aww, she sent me money for a pizza so I could eat at home!""
The first reason for starting to do the symphony concerts was to play this new piece of mine.

At the art college in Edinburgh someone arranged for some London groups to come up and play. I was in a supporting band, with Bernie Green I think. Derek Bailey was one of the visiting musicians. He seemed to like my playing and asked me to come down to London.

London Boys
Cow bell strikes another night
Your eyes are heavy and your limbs all ache
You've bought some coffee, butter and bread
You can't make a thing cause the meter's dead
You moved away
Hold your folks you're gonna stay away
Bright lights, Soho, Wardour street
You hope you make friends with the guys that you meet
Somebody shows you round
Now you've met the London boys
Things seem good again, someone cares about you
Oh, the first time that you tried a pill
You feel a little queasy, decidedly ill
You're gonna be sick, but you mustn't lose faith
To let yourself down would be a big disgrace
With the London boys, with the London boys
You're only seventeen, but you think you've grown
In the month you've been away from your parents' home
You take the pills too much
You don't give a damn about that jobs you've got
So long as you're with the London boys
A London boy, oh a London boy
Your flashy clothes are your pride and joy
A London boy, a London boy
You think you've had a lot of fun
But you ain't got nothing, you're on the run
It's too late now, cause you're out there boy
You've got it made with the rest of the toys
Now you wish you'd never left your home
You've got what you wanted but you're on your own
With the London boys
Now you've met the London boys
Now you've met the London boys
Now you've met the London boys
