Treatment Resources Extends Lifetimes

money is a guaranteed ticket
to quick health care first class
health hit a six or take a wicket...
after moving to Jakarta I noticed
neighbours men in forties died
no illness these men were old aged...

no one dies of old age in early forties
death is disease or medical conditions
dirt poor were never treated diagnosed...
medical stakes have interesting spikes
treatment resources extend lifetimes
entrepreneur survives discarded poor dies...

A Best Cure!

Glory of Nature poet says in glowing verse!
Disaster of Nature critic says in crying words!
Beauty and love of Nature bring bliss sure;
Wrath and horror of Nature bring nightmare!

For all poisons of pollution man mixes in sky
Nature dilutes to balance with drastic dosage!
But chronicle disease at extreme stage kills
Patients among people without mercy often!

Prevention is better than cure holds good ever
If man is careful in the use of natural resources.

For all the climatic changes man is the root cause
Due to exploitation of resources sans conservation;
Even now it's not too late to take measures well
Before the final stroke comes at unexpected hour!

Advances in science when put to practical use mean more jobs, higher wages, shorter hours, more abundant crops, more leisure for recreation, for study, for learning how to live without the deadening drudgery which has been the burden of the common man for ages past. Advances in science will also bring higher standards of living, will lead to the prevention or cure of diseases, will promote conservation of our limited national resources, and will assure means of defense against aggression. But to achieve these objectives — to secure a high level of employment, to maintain a position of world leadership — the flow of new scientific knowledge must be both continuous and substantial.

A Faithful Person

Degrees of the planet I await from the sun,
A careful blend of drink that is drunk,
By the skin and the brain,
Less of the monument I stank.

Doctor likes the request to be made,
That a solitude is about,
A faithful person is always betrayed
Into the causes he is at bout.

The disease is procured by the prevention
I detest in the initial phases.
It will cure you, my love, of all dimension,
I detest the treatment of these days.

Days and nights, weeks and months,
Go by and by like a talking nightmare,
Foreign to the power of the sevenths
Of the weeks that are day-care.

I think it ridiculous of your jolt,
I’d like to think it a blessing,
That I am adult,
And it delivered a caressing.

On Clinical Trial

Prednisone, Deltazone
Coumadine, Compazine
Bactrim, Cytoxin
VP 16

costly cocktail of chemical war
remedial armies
seeking to engineer
the nauseous statistics

the kindness of treatment
the allure of cure
the punctures in the catheter
switches just beneath the skin
short scars spreading
where tissue is taken out and entered in

the routine challenge for significance
in an open and diverted time
of search for long remission -
a term of judgement and science

a treatment I consent to choose
and tactically look to use
but did not allow to become mine
do not agree by this to be defined

the claims of remission:
disappearance of symptoms
forgiveness of debt
a last release from sins -
and further kind regimes

so caught the while
in a crude philosophy of treatment
that is placed
with me
on clinical trial.

Sonnet: The Poet and Science

Is Science, a poet’s foe in poetry?
Why blame the world of science for its progress?
Out-moded’s the poet’s Nature-study;
Literature must wear a scientific dress.

Gone are the days of blind beliefs/ legends;
Man has landed on the moon many times;
No more the moon has myths it portends;
Let science therefore be thy decor in rhymes.

Decoded has man, the human genome;
Many diseases have a cure today;
’Tis unwise still to write the myths of Rome!
Poets incorporate what science shall say.

Science is no impediment to the art!
Let modern poets make a newer start.

Modern Medicines Aid Natures Immune Systems

“alternative medicine
in natural resources
blossoms barks leaves

invisible to naked

blind western eyes
yet Hippocrates spoke of
‘vis medicatrix naturace’

in antique 400 B.C.”

guiding principles
of Hippocratic medicine
organisms contain
healing powers of nature

Hippocrates believed
that an organism
is not passive immune
to injuries or disease

an organism rebalances
itself to counteract
attack injuries diseases
any state of illness

is not a malady but
an effort of our bodies
to overcome disturbed
state of equilibrium

this capacity of organisms
to correct imbalances
distinguishes organisms
from non-living matter

from this follows
the medical approach
“nature is the best physician”
“nature is the healer of disease”

amazingly all top
pharmaceutical
companies agree
all exceptional

medicines healing balms
contain specific natural
ingredients researched
scientifically proven to be

miraculous curses
when administered
effectively treatments
curing ill organisms

synthetic medicines

impact cure powers
nature heals best rebalances

Sonnet: Cancer Today

The fight against disease called cancer is
On-going for so many years but still,
Not much relief is wrought from its death-kiss:
The diagnosis made when one is ill!

Research is done with big money inputs;
New drugs are patented without headway;
The developments come out with ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’!
Most cancers strike in relentless a way.

No cancer can be cured if found quite late;
Prevention is the only way to deal;
Despite progress in science, unchanged is fate
Of cancer-stricken men – what scientists feel!

Doing unwanted things, man/ woman lives;
‘Keep body pure’ – advice God’s Nature gives!

It makes no sense.

A dog goes mad and is destroyed
A danger to society.
Why do we strive to avoid
the use of the death penalty.

Why do we pay to keep alive
a madman that we cannot cure.
It seems unjust he should survive
His victims didn’t that’s for sure

There is no cure for his disease
No chance at all he will be freed,
no way that he can earn release
He should be put down humanely

Why should he live in luxury?
with all mod cons provided free.

Who Is Truly Great?

Great is one who humbles oneself;
Great is one who accomplishes without expectations;
Great is one who labors for others’ welfare;
Great is one who struggles for a noble cause;
Great is one who gives his life for his Maker’s sake;
Great is one who sacrifices his precious life for truth’s sake;
Great is one who takes the road least taken;
Great is one who climbs life’s steep hills;
Great is one who treads dangerous paths for mankind’s progress;
Great is one who risks his life unduly to save others’ lives;
Great is one who although born or made handicapped does extra-ordinary feats;
Great is one who scales heights of achievements rarely done by others;
Great is one who toils in sleep-hours too for mankind’s upliftment;
Great is one who racks his brain to find a cure for a crippling disease;
Great is one who shuns selfishness for the cause of his poorer brethren;
Great is one who dies so that others can live in peace;
Great is one who lives not for oneself but others;
Great is one who loves and forgives his worst foe;
Great is one who leads life in accordance with the Word of God!

Thus far

I took treatment;
The body-ache was gone; with it the winter too.
I took treatment;
The allergy was gone; with it the spring too.
I took treatment;
The acnes were gone; with it the summer too.
I took treatment;
The gastric was gone; with it the autumn too.

Sometimes I got fortunes.
Sometimes I was spared.
Sometimes I was rescued.
Sometimes I got miseries reduced.
I ascribed all to my God I believe.

With time I have grown thus far.
With faith I have stood thus far.

You were like a disease

Babe now you are gone it’s a great relief
You were like a disease it’s my belief!

There was no cure and I was suffering so extremely
I was afraid you were such a disease that might kill me!

Babe now you are gone though I am alone
I feel like I am no longer a stone!

There was no help and I didn’t know at all what to do
Now I can smile from my soul though at last I have lost you!

To Divide Them

Has the advancements made in technology,
Increased the intelligence of human beings?
Has the rising cost of college education,
Awarded anyone a credit towards common sense?

Has the expense of raising children,
From books printed to show how that is done...
Proven to anyone to be successful?

And...
Have those who chose to isolate others,
To divide them and conquer...
Feel any less ostacized themselves?

Has the cure of diseases,
Prevented the spreading...
Of more of them to occur?
