I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.

His Writings On The Wall
when he was writing about
walls
he wrote the words on the walls
and they were arranged
like walls
from wall to wall his description
about the wall was
consistently like a wall
walling in all the walls
around the wall
where he was writing
consistently and
uniformly the word
wall, wall, wall, wall
and then nothing but a train of walls like this
wallwallwallwallwallwallwallwallwallw allwallwallwallwallwallwallwallwallwallwall
of course, he did notn add any smoke from steam engine
neither did he add any children and women and even men riding on the
train of walls
there was no driver even
or wheels
what he stressed was just a wall, a wall train, a wall nothing but a wall
walling him in
but what he really wanted at the end was something that should wall him out
something however that until now he is still trying to figure out

So Far, So Pleased
So far, so pleased
I like the way u touch me
I like the way u tease
No car, no keys
I had 2 get us stranded
If u know what I mean
Big scar on my knee
Begging 4 a kiss is such a dull routine
Still im...
So far, so far, so far, so pleased
So far, so fine
I find another beauty mark
With every glass of red wine
So fast the time
Everytime I have to go, I go and lose my mind
Its hard, okay
Thats what happens
When a boy and girl dont get 2 play
So far, so far, so far, so pleased
(yeah)
(come on, come on)
So far, so pleased
I like the way u touch me
I like the way u tease
No car, no keys
I could spend the night and leave at 10:15
So far, so far, so far, so pleased
Ooh-ooh yeah
So far, so pleased
Oh-ooh

From Beth to Vickie
One summer he read rows
and rows of Elizabethan verse,
from an anthology whose jacket
was illustrated with a red rose.
That was the summer
he was in love with a sophomore
named Elizabeth Forrest,
soft and more precious than a dove.
Lovelier than verse
and theology, Beth was both
the tree and the forest—
she rose above it all.
But summer dwindles
and love loses its petals too—
His Elizabethan period closed that fall
when he met a senior named Victoria.

Very Fine Love
(bob dipiero / jim photoglo)
I never knew how good love could be
All Id ever known was make believe
So many times Ive played the fool
Baby, til I met you
Now everything has fallen in place
You can tell by the smile on my face
For every lonely tear that Ive cried
Im that much satisfied
Weve got a fine, fine, very fine love
Weve got a fine, fine, very fine love
You know it when you find one
Shining like a diamond
Its so fine, fine, very fine love
How did I ever live without your love?
Its the only thing Im certain of
No matter what Im going through
I know I can count on you
You are more precious to me every day
Life is better now in every way
You dont have to lay the world at my feet
You have made my world complete
Weve got a fine, fine, very fine love, oh, oh
Weve got a fine, fine, very fine love
You know it when you find one
Shining like a diamond
Its so fine, so fine, very fine love
Ive got no apprehensions
Youve got the best intentions
Weve got a, weve got a, weve got a fine, fine, very fine love
Weve got a fine, fine, very fine love
A very fine
A very fine love
Very fine love, ah, ha, ooh, hoo
So fine, hey, so fine
So good, so good love

The Sad Punk
I smell smoke
Taht comes from a gun
Named extintion
It was a long time ago
Could have happened to anyone
He was struck by a bullet
And he melted into fluid named extintion
One thousand miles an hour
Im just like anyone
I want to feel
The road of tar beneath the wheel named extinction
And evolving from the sea
Would no be too much time for me
To walk beside you in the sun
I read something
About a son of a gun
Named extinction.

Co- Existence
Yes, you’re certainly true
That when you write
I am here to read it through
And really convinced
By what you’ve said
You didn’t demand
Comments or views
‘Cause I can hardly find
Any one or two
I don’t expect
Anything from you
I can live happily
Even if you wouldn’t read mine
But when the time permits
And the season for you is fine
You can explore my page
So that you may read and find
That I created a poem
Just for you poetic man

I Am Sure You Hadn't Thought About That
I do not want to hear from you,
A detail description of your miseries...
Constantly.
I want to hear you pleased...
About 'something'!
At least give me that opportunity,
To build upon my own happiness.
And since I am around you,
On a daily basis...
Even a little bit of joy you leave,
Would give me a 'hint'...
You have 'some' feelings for me!
To be be greeted by a smile,
Would jolt me into a good mood...
Every once in a while.
And I am sure you hadn't thought about that?

Dying With Dignity Feb 9th 2011
DYING WITH DIGNITY FEB 9TH,2011
I’M NOT TOO PLEASED ABOUT DYING SO READ ON AND I’LL TELL YOU WHY,
BECAUSE IT CAN’T BE ARRANGED AND PLANNED IN THIS LAND AND THAT’S NO LIE,
AND ASSISTED SUICIDE IS A TERRIBLE CRIMINAL OFFENCE,
YOU AND YOUR DOCTOR COULD GO TO JAIL AND THERE’S NO DEFENCE.
ONE OF THESE VERY FINE SUMMER OR WINTER DAYS, I’LL BE DEAD,
AND MY VERY SHORT OBITUARY IN THE PAPERS WILL BE READ,
BUT IT’S NOT BEING DEAD; IT’S ALL THAT FUSS AND DYING THAT BOTHERS ME,
AND THERE’S NO DEATH WITH DIGNITY HERE AS FAR AS I CAN SEE.
WE JUST HAVE TO WAIT TO DIE IN PAIN AND THERE’S NO EASY WAY OUT,
IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW RELIGIOUS YOU ARE OR HOW DEVOUT,
IF WE COULD GET AN EUTHANASIA PILL, IT COULD BE PLANNED WITH FRIENDS,
WAVE GOOD BYE TO THEM ALL AND DIE HAPPY WITH THE NEW TRENDS.

A Rose Is Not A Rose
i mistook
a rose,
a wall that
rose,
higher than
the sky
nothing about
redness
or petals, or
stalks
or thorns
but a wall that
rose higher
than the sky
walling, wailing
willing
still to push
through
this dream
rising, rosy
rainy

Why do you come here ?
And why, why do you hang around ?
I'm so sorry, oh ...
I'm so sorry, oh, oh ...
Why do you come here
When you know it makes things hard for me ?
When you know, oh
Why do you come ?
Why do you telephone ? ahur...
And why, why send me silly notes ?
I'm so sorry
I'm so sorry, oh ...
Why do you come here
When you know it makes things hard for me ?
When you know, oh
Why do you come ?
It was because
Everything that i did
I wrote it down
On the wall
You had to sneak into my room
'just' to read my diary
"oh, it was just to see, just to see"
(all the things you knew i'd written about you...)
And oh so many illustrations
Oh, but
I'm so very sickened
Oh, i am so sickened now
Still, it was a good lay, good lay
It was a good lay, good lay
It was a good lay, good lay
Ah ...
Still, it was a good lay, good lay
It was a good lay, good lay
It was a good lay, good lay
A good lay, ah ...
Oh, it was a good lay
It was a good lay
It was a good lay
Oh, it was a good lay
Good lay, good lay
Oh
Oh, it was a good lay, good lay
Oh, it was a good lay, good lay
It was a good lay, good lay
Good lay, oh
Thankyou.

Histrionic Personality Disorder 2
I'd read of the plight of poor Sandusky. What rot!
Puritanism strikes again: where will it end?
I'd even googled the disorder. Took my sun-glasses off and read:
Defense today depending less on motive than diagnosis;
But I seemed to have all the symptoms: naivete, gullibility, low frust-
ration, strong dependency. The whole ball of wax.
After reading about it I did, anyway. And these were just the good things.
But how could I know for sure? Don't most have these traits? Somewise?
As for the causes, these were foregone:
turbulent both oral AND genital phases, in my case.
So the search for certainty'd brought me to this office.
As the expert, she was really supposed to know, no?
All I wanted was certainty. 'And, if it doesn't exist...? ',
I asked the translater, still staring at the floor
paved with lovely green travertine that felt good underfoot.
In reply, she just shrugged: these people are good at body language.
'Dunque, non'. That much I understood. She rose,
looked out the window, remarked, I think, about the good weather.
As she studied the sky I was impressed by her expertise.
'Would you like to have lunch? ' she asked, turning, in perfect English.
Flattered and intrigued, I stammered 'si',
wondering just how many euros it would cost me.
'What are you hearing at the opera? ', she asked.
'Ernani', I answered, ingenuously. 'Ah, an early one!
'You'll love it, I saw it, its wonderful', she said.
Together we took the elevator down, walked through an immense door,
and out into the broad, Italian sunshine.

Sunny Skies
Sunny skies sleeps in the morning
He doesnt know when to rise
He closes his weary eyes upon the day
Look at him yawning
Throwing his morning hours away
He knows how to ease down slowly
Everything is fine in the end
And you will be pleased to know
That sunny skies hasnt a friend
Sunny skies weeps in the evening
It doesnt much matter why
I guess he just has to cry from time to time
Everyones leaving
And sunny skies has to stay behind
Still he knows how to ease down slow
Everything is fine in the end
And you will be pleased to know
That sunny skies hasnt a friend
Sunny skies sleeps in the morning
He doesnt know when to rise
He closes his weary eyes upon the day
And throws it all away
Looking at the snow and trees that grow
Outside my window
Looking at the things that passed me by
Wondering if where Ive been is worth
The things Ive been through
Ending with a friend named sunny skies

The King Of Brentford
There was a king in Brentford,—of whom no legends tell,
But who, without his glory,—could eat and sleep right well.
His Polly's cotton nightcap,—it was his crown of state,
He slept of evenings early,—and rose of mornings late.
All in a fine mud palace,—each day he took four meals,
And for a guard of honor,—a dog ran at his heels,
Sometimes, to view his kingdoms,—rode forth this monarch good,
And then a prancing jackass—he royally bestrode.
There were no costly habits—with which this king was curst,
Except (and where's the harm on't?)—a somewhat lively thirst;
But people must pay taxes,—and kings must have their sport,
So out of every gallon—His Grace he took a quart.
He pleased the ladies round him,—with manners soft and bland;
With reason good, they named him,—the father of his land.
Each year his mighty armies—marched forth in gallant show;
Their enemies were targets—their bullets they were tow.
He vexed no quiet neighbor,—no useless conquest made,
But by the laws of pleasure,—his peaceful realm he swayed.
And in the years he reigned,—through all this country wide,
There was no cause for weeping,—save when the good man died.
The faithful men of Brentford,—do still their king deplore,
His portrait yet is swinging,— beside an alehouse door.
And topers, tender-hearted,—regard his honest phiz,
And envy times departed—that knew a reign like his.

I've Just Started
I am flattered,
But not yet sold.
Nor am I convinced,
By what I am told.
My steps on a path,
Has not changed at all.
The obstacles remain the same.
I am just careful how I fall.
Stumbling to get up,
Has become my ritual.
With few complaints...
I master my strengths.
I am flattered,
But not yet sold.
Nor am I convinced,
By what I am told.
I just 'do'.
To get done.
With a motivation...
That inspires me to finish.
I am flattered that this has been recognized.
But not yet sold am I.
Nor convinced by what I am told,
About achieving with accomplishment...
The best of my efforts.
That's impossible!
How could I when I've just started.

A Rose Intoxication!
Queen of flowers rose is always a fascination!
Rose is symbol of passionate love cheers mood!
Rose lady gives great pride to be with anywhere!
Special respect to rose never changes anywhere;
Red rose, pink rose and even blue rose are there
Occupying a pride of place none can have ever!
Bouquet of rose flowers elates anyone to dizziness!
A special gift indeed rose flowers makes to all!
A single rose is enough to make one grand to look
Instead of a big cluster of flowers of jasmine or lily!
Scent of rose remains fresh in mind wherever one is;
Such a unique flower rose how can anyone ignore
Whether it is in the garden or lies on a wayward side!
Now after seeing rose and read on rose I am intoxicated..!

As I Grew Older
It was a long time ago.
I have almost forgotten my dream.
But it was there then,
In front of me,
Bright like a sun--
My dream.
And then the wall rose,
Rose slowly,
Slowly,
Between me and my dream.
Rose until it touched the sky--
The wall.
Shadow.
I am black.
I lie down in the shadow.
No longer the light of my dream before me,
Above me.
Only the thick wall.
Only the shadow.
My hands!
My dark hands!
Break through the wall!
Find my dream!
Help me to shatter this darkness,
To smash this night,
To break this shadow
Into a thousand lights of sun,
Into a thousand whirling dreams
Of sun!

Flattered
I've been battered,
And shattered by it.
But the process of putting the pieces back,
Have healed.
And I find myself flattered by your comments.
It does feel good,
Knowing I can still appeal.
And I thank you for that.
You have reminded me I can attract.
I am flattered.
But I must also state...
If you keep that up,
You might find I'm easy to bait!
And the first to want to snuggle.
I've been battered,
And shattered by it.
But I did not say one thing,
About rejecting the notion...
Of being tenderized.
I am not that self sufficient.
Nor do I choose to be!
Although I have made some attempts...
The results of them did prove to be less gratifying!
