Not Understood
Not understood, we move along asunder;
Our paths grow wider as the seasons creep
Along the years; we marvel and we wonder
Why life is life, and then we fall asleep
Not understood.
Not understood, we gather false impressions
And hug them closer as the years go by;
Till virtues often seem to us transgressions;
And thus men rise and fall, and live and die
Not understood.
Not understood! Poor souls with stunted vision
Oft measure giants with their narrow gauge;
The poisoned shafts of falsehood and derision
Are oft impelled 'gainst those who mould the age,
Not understood.
Not understood! The secret springs of action
Which lie beneath the surface and the show,
Are disregarded; with self-satisfaction
We judge our neighbours, and they often go
Not understood.
Not understood! How trifles often change us!
The thoughtless sentence and the fancied slight
Destroy long years of friendship, and estrange us,
And on our souls there falls a freezing blight;
Not understood.
Not understood! How many breasts are aching
For lack of sympathy! Ah! day by day
How many cheerless, lonely hearts are breaking!
How many noble spirits pass away,
Not understood.
O God! that men would see a little clearer,
Or judge less harshly where they cannot see!
O God! that men would draw a little nearer
To one another, -- they'd be nearer Thee,
And understood.

The Hands Of A Teacher
Optimism,
Optimism perished from the face of my earth
And then you came along, came along and swept me away,
She kissed me, as we stood on the edge,
The night made the day as we made for the bridge
It started raining hard, and I saw we may live to regret
No I never really understood
No I never really understood why,
Because Ive never been given,
Never been given two tries,
No I never really understood,
Understood why...
Pessimism,
Pessimism perished from the face of my earth,
And then you came along, came along and swept me away,
Did you miss me? did you miss me as we walked
Through the pain, attached the chain so you could
See me again
I started asking myself, did I teach you right?
No I never really understood
No I never really understood why,
Because Ive never been given,
Never been given two tries,
No I never really understood,
Understood why...
Understood why...
You came to me, you broke the bonds,
You set me free
And then the love that you promised me
Came a tumblin tumblin tumblin down
Into my hands...
No I never really understood
No I never really understood why,
Because Ive never been given,
Never been given two tries,
No I never really understood,
Understood why...
So teacher teach me...

Liberty
Theres a gentleness within
Theres a kindness that shell bring
Through her eyes of sadness lies
All her love for him
Imprisoned every day
A handsome price to pay
Even when shes done her time
Shell insist that lifes just fine
Someday soon shell make her move
Seize her chance to shine
Its all that she can do
To free herself from you
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Where has all her life blood gone
Will you ever see
Even if she understood
Is it written that she should
Come and see him when shes gone
Hes surprised but knows hes wrong
A simple case of do or die
And now shes cut and run
Your vision let you down
You almost let her drown
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Where has all her life blood gone
Will you ever see
Even if she understood
Is it written that she should
Where has all her life blood gone
Wil you ever see
Even if she understood
Is it written that she should
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Where has all her life blood gone
Will you ever see
Even if she understood
Is it written that she should
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Its her liberty ( that she wants you to see )
Where has all her life blood gone
Will you ever see
Even if she understood
Is it written that she should

Understanding is only misunderstanding
When you say
“I understand”
You simply confess
That you are only trying
To understand
And you affirm
To guard against
Misunderstanding
Though this may not be true
In a technical discussion
This is always true
When attempts are made
To evaluate issues
Pertaining to minds and emotions
Let us admit
We have not understood
Any one and
Any of the thought processes
Associated with any individual
How many of us
Have understood our parents?
How many of us
Have understood our spouses?
How many of us
Have understood our brothers
And sisters?
How many of us
Have understood our sons
And daughters?
How many of us
Have understood our customers,
Employers and employees
Bosses and sub-ordinates
More you are confident
About these understandings
More likely
You have misunderstood them
Do not ever claim
That you have
Understood others
As you now understand
That
Understanding is only
Misunderstanding

Losing My Senses
Dave mustaine
One man speaking the truth
No one likes when it fits
So we tell soothing lies
And betray our own lips
The uncivilized world
And its people decay
Once sweet breeze is defiled
Sucking our breath away
Fill solos - mustaine
Yesterdays answers has nothing to do
With todays questions
Life can only be understood in reverse
But must be lived forwards
Im losing my senses, Im losing my senses
Fill solos - mustaine
We watch as the living all die
Contemplating if we should
Ever open our eyes
If all that we touch
Keeps turning to sand
We will cease to exist
Till the last living man
Fill solos - mustaine
Yesterdays answers has nothing to do
With todays questions
Life can only be understood in reverse
But must be lived forward
Life can only be understood in reverse
But must be lived forward
Im losing my senses
Fill solos - mustaine / solo - pitrelli
Yesterdays answers has nothing to do
With todays questions
Life can only be understood in reverse
But must be lived forwards
Life can only be understood in reverse
But must be lived forwards
Fill solos and synth - mustaine

I'm Not One to Dissect What's Enjoyed
I made an announcement,
Very early in my life
That I was going to write.
No one understood that appetite,
I had for writing.
No one understood it.
But I had to do it to get it done.
No one understood it.
Neither do I still.
I just write.
With a feeding that delights,
A craving that goes unexplained.
Like a desire to be fulfilled.
And I'm not one to dissect what's enjoyed!
What would I then find to nourish...
With such complete love?

Sonnet: Things Seek Stability
How can all dance to changing tunes of bands?
Life must acquire some stability;
How long can one run on slippery sands?
One can’t put up with much lability.
The environs must be made quite friendly;
Each one’s talents must be well utilized;
Give opportunities quite equally,
And education makes all civilized.
One can’t live long in insecurity;
When fruits are wasted, why not give them free?
Life has to be one of sincerity;
All want to climb life’s tree successfully.
You can’t deny a person everything;
And if you do, God will give him something.

Equality, rightly understood as our founding fathers understood it, leads to liberty and to the emancipation of creative differences; wrongly understood, as it has been so tragically in our time, it leads first to conformity and then to despotism.

Think About
Think about nothing
Life has for you something
Remembered any one that gives you peace
Two time square meals and life at ease
You have only one goal
Life to be made as simple as possible
Invite no trouble and cause to none
You shall be then worthy human
Even if you think seriously
That may go on consciously
No purpose may be served
As thought is not deserved
We have not enough of time
To think for nothing sometimes
Why at all you should think?
If that makes you to sink
Think of only thing
If that has got relevance or something
It may then give you some room
The garden may come up to blossom
We shall take fresh air
And act very much fair
We shall mix with right people
Dream about land cause no trouble
If my wish can come true
Then rest all of time may be through
As time may then be utilized
If not all but self can be obliged

Looking For You
I've waited so long now
I've wanted forever to hold you
Now you're in my arms
And I'll never let you go
Whatever you do, y'know
I'll be standing here beside you baby
Just like a bird that's find it's way back home
I've finally found a place where I belong
I've been looking for you since I took my first breath
And I'll be loving you baby til I take my last
I'd like to know
What would I do without you in my life
From the moment I saw you I knew
I was looking for you
Can I wake up now
Can I believe what I'm feeling
And I'll be sure I wasn't dreaming it all
Baby it's true, you do
Something supernatural to me
Each night I pray to God that you'll be blessed
I need you so much baby I confess
I've been looking for you since I took my first breath
And I'll be loving you baby til I take my last
I'd like to know
What would I do without you in my life
All along I was waiting for you
From the moment I saw you I knew
It had to be you
So the story goes
Together ever after
Now the dream came true
And maybe when you least expect it love will come to you
I'd like to know what would I do without you in my life
All along I was waiting for you
From the moment I saw you I knew
It had to be you
Sweet love came to my life
I was looking for you
Sweet love came to my life
I was looking for looking for you
Sweet love came to my life
I was thining about you
Sweet love came to my life
All along I was looking for you
Sweet love came to my life
I was thining about you
Sweet love came to my life
I was thinking about you
Sweet love came to my life
I was thinking about you
Sweet love came to my life
From the moment I saw you I knew
Sweet love came to my life
Looking for you
Sweet love came to my life
I was looking for you
Sweet love came to my life
I was thinking about you

A Child Asked
A child asked 'Why am I here? '
with eyes as bright as a star.
The answer was given and understood.
'To be just who you are.'
Content with what she heard that day,
she lived her life and knew
that everything she wanted in life
is what she would try to do.
A child asked 'Why am I here? '
with hesitant eyes so sad.
The answer was given but not understood.
'To try to never be bad.'
Upset with what he heard that day
he lived his life in fear,
afraid that whatever he did in life
would always bring a tear.

In My Life
Written by ricky & kim wilde
Look for the strength you know you can feel
Search for the truth you know that is real
Then reach for the place you know they cant steal
And say, Im feeling good with my life
No point in letting life bring you down
Theres always something bad hangin round
Face up to trouble and stare it out
I know Im feeling good with my life
In my life - everything is feeling good
In my life - feeling like you know it should
In my life - cant you see its understood
Im feeling good with my life
No better place to start than with you
Get your head together then follow through
Its not what youre saying its what you do
I know Im feeling good with my life
Dont fantasize how your life could be
Make all your dreams a reality
Then there is nothing can bring you down
I know Im feeling good with my life
In my life - everything is feeling good
In my life - feeling like you know it should
In my life - cant you see its understood
Im feeling good with my life
Weve got to make it living together
Learning to share our lives
Weve got to speak from the heart
Find a new way to start
Thats something weve all got to realise
In my life

Miss Understood
Now that I'm a woman
I'm always dreaming of romance
I'm always dreaming about the perfect man
Who'd take me in his arms and understand, understand me
My name is Miss Understood
I'm just a girl who wants true love like anyone would
I'm Miss Understood
Isn't there a man who understands me?
He picked me up at midnight (Oh)
When all the town was fast asleep
We danced 4 the man in the moon above
Understanding's cheap when U fall in love, fall in love
Just call me Miss Understood
I'm just a girl who wants true love like anyone would
I'm Miss Understood
Isn't there a man who understands me?
I want a lover that can satisfy the hunger of my lonely heart
Gotta have a lover with a PhD in undercover art
Now that I'm a woman
I'm always looking 4 romance (Romance)
I'm always looking 4 the perfect man
Who'd take me in his arms and understand, understand me
Just call me Miss Understood
I'm just a girl who wants true love like anyone would
I'm Miss Understood
Isn't there a man who understands...
Miss Understood
I'm just a girl who wants true love like anyone would
I'm Miss Understood
Isn't there a man who understands...
Miss (Miss, Miss) Understood
I'm just a girl who wants true love like anyone would
I'm Miss Understood

To Be Understood
Nothing believed comes,
If one should run from it.
And...
Nothing believed comes,
If one is stunned by it.
Nothing is comprehended,
To understand.
And...
Those who become offended,
Often demand...
To be understood.
Observe and listen with a sitting,
Not too many do.
Too many are quick with their lips,
And...
Prove they are rude.
To then to accuse,
Someone to be abusive.
Nothing is comprehended,
To understand.
And...
Those who become offended,
Often demand...
To be understood.
And wounds are never mended.
With a healing recommended...
'Cause...
People wish to brood as they choose.
Nothing is comprehended,
To understand.
And...
Those who are offended,
Often demand...
To be understood.
But they aren't listening,
As they could and they should.
No they're not listening as they should and they could.
And if they listen they would be understood.
No they don't listen to,
Be understood.
No they don't listen like they could and should.

Wild Honey
B. wilson
Mama Im tellin you as sure as Im standin here
Shes my girl and thats the way Im keepin it my mama dear
No good will it do you to stand there and frown at me
The girls got my heart and my loves comin down on me
Last time I met her since I got a taste of wild honey
(sweet, sweet, my honey bee)
You know shes got the sweetness of the honey bee
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
Honey, (sweet, sweet, my honey bee) she got me all and stung me good, oh, yesiree
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
Before he even stung bees buzzin around her hive
She singled me out, single handed took me alive
Im gonna take her home and spend my life
Eatin up the wild honey
(sweet, sweet, my honey bee)
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
(sweet, sweet, my honey bee)
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
Oh mama shes sweeter (sweeter) and sweeter (sweeter) and sweeter, sweeter
Yaaaa, honey (sweet, sweet, my honey bee)
Let me tell you how she really got to my soul (sweet, sweet my honey)
It aint funny, (sweet, sweet, my honey bee) the way she made me want to sing a little rock and
Roll (sweet, sweet, my honey)
Theres nothing quite as good as the taste of wild honey
Break my back workin just to save me some money
I can spend my life with her eatin up her wild honey
(sweet, sweet, my honey bee)
Oh honey shes sweeter (sweeter) and sweeter (sweeter) and sweeter, sweeter
Now
(sweet, sweet, my honey bee)
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
(sweet, sweet, my honey bee)
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
Gimme some gimme some
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
Gimme some gimme some(shes the one)
(sweet, sweet, my honey)
Gimme some wild honey
Gimme some gimme some..........
