Soothe Me

*Soothe Me, Baby
Soothe me
Soothe me with your eyes
Though I know
Your powerful loving is
Soothing to me
I used to hire a lot of girls
Hot and big and small
Since I meet this baby of mine
I don't want mother girls at all
***Soothe me, baby
Soothe me
Soothe me with your kindness
Though I know your powerful loving is
Soothing to me
Oh, how I used to ramble
Oh, how I used to roam
Since I found this pretty little baby
All I want to do
Is stay at home
At home
(*Repeat)
One more time, man
**Soothe me baby
Soothe me
Soothe me with your kindness
Though I know
Your mama don't like it
It's soothing to me
Oh, once I was a worried man
I was drinking night and day
Now, I've got this angel by my side
All my worries have drifted away
(**Repeat)
Soothe me, baby
Soothe me, baby
Soothe me, baby
(*** Repeat)

Soothe Sayer

Open up your eyes, see the world around you
It's not what we thought it was. it's not what we were told.
Flashing signs before us. they're even reading the last rites.
All our systems have failed us. now they've turned out the lights.
Soothe sayer. the miracle's just begun. what a cool player.
Love is the only one! soothe sayer.
New age, millenium. the coming of the new messiah.
Wall street, big businesses, pretending it's alright.
Preachers lost in ministry, while the sinners laugh and mock.
Angels watching helplessly the final ticking of the clock!
Soothe sayer. got you on the run. what a cool player. love is the only one!
Soothe sayer. got 'em on the run. what a mind blower. love is the only one!
Soothe sayer.
When you walk that rocky road, you need food to feed your soul.
I'll help you with that heavy load, until you reach your home!
Your not alone!
Soothe sayer. the miracle's just begun. what a cool player.
Love is the only one. soothe sayer. soothe sayer.
The devils on the run. what a cruel player.
Love is the only one! soothe sayer!
Open up your heart. look up in to the sky.
Feel the energy around you and know that we must try.
Love's the new reality, the true saviour of this world.
We're gonna live through this insanity. you better hold on to me guru!
Soothe sayer. soothe sayer

Sonnet- Give Me More Woes, Lord

'Give me O Lord, more woes, ' I don't say, 'No, '
'Give me thy grace to withstand them for Thee';
And if Thou Will'd that I should undergo,
Let me do so, for my Eternity.

'Give me 0 Lord more woes, for others' sake, '
'So that more souls can be saved from sure hell.'
And in the meantime, never me forsake;
I want to toll Heaven's Angelus bell.

'Give me 0 Lord, more woes, if I can take, '
'For joys or sorrows of this world are false, '
The devils' overtures are all but fake;
Help me to listen only to Thy calls.

'Give me 0 Lord, more woes, for I love Thee, '
'Let me too lift thy cross to Calvary, '

The Lesson

MY cot was down by a cypress grove,
And I sat by my window the whole night long,
And heard well up from the deep dark wood
A mocking-bird's passionate song.
And I thought of myself so sad and lone,
And my life's cold winter that knew no spring;
Of my mind so weary and sick and wild,
Of my heart too sad to sing.
But e'en as I listened the mock-bird's song,
A thought stole into my saddened heart,
And I said, 'I can cheer some other soul
By a carol's simple art.'
For oft from the darkness of hearts and lives
Come songs that brim with joy and light,
As out of the gloom of the cypress grove
The mocking-bird sings at night.
So I sang a lay for a brother's ear
In a strain to soothe his bleeding heart,
And he smiled at the sound of my voice and lyre,
Though mine was a feeble art.
But at his smile I smiled in turn,
And into my soul there came a ray:
In trying to soothe another's woes
Mine own had passed away.

Some Go Loco and More Got Woes

How serious.
Just how serious,
Can these times be?

How serious.
Just how serious,
Can these times be?

People out of work with needs to feed.
How serious can these times be?

More homeless seen on many streets.
How serious can these times be?

Hope from this is a wish to elope.
How serious can thes times be?

Wide awake are the more composed.
How serious can these times be?

Some go loco,
And more got woes!

Some go loco,
And more got woes!
Heeeeey...
Where's the aide?

How serious.
Just how serious,
Can these times be?

How serious.
Just how serious,
Can these times be?

People out of work with needs to feed.
How serious can these times be?

More homeless seen on many streets.
How serious can these times be?
Heeeeey...
Where's the aide?

Some go loco,
And more got woes!

Some go loco,
And more got woes!

Wide awake are the more composed.
How serious can these times be?
Hope from this is a wish to elope.
How serious can thes times be?

Where's the aide?

Some go loco,
And more got woes!

Some go loco,
And more got woes!

How serious.
Just how serious,
Can these times be?

Some go loco!
And...
More got woes!
Yes some go loco!
And...
More got woes!
Some go loco!
And,
More got woes!
Yes some go loco.
And...
More got,
Woes!

By That Smile Which Made Me Blest

By that smile which made me blest,
And left me soon the wretch you see-
By that heart I once possest,
Which now, they say, is given to thee-
By St. Clara's wrongs and woes-
Trust not young Glenarvon's vows.

By those lays which breathe around
A poet's great and matchless art-
By that voice whose silver sound
Can soothe to peace th' imprisoned heart-
By every bitter pang I prove-
Trust not young Glenarvon's love.

Each brighter, kinder hope forsaking,
Bereft of all that made life dear
My health impaired, my spirit breaking,
Yet still too proud to shed one tear:
O! lady, by my wrongs and woes,
Trust not young Glenarvon's vows.

And when at length the hand of death
Shall bid St. Clara's heart be still-
When struggling with its latest breath,
His image shall her fancy fill,
Ah trust to one whose death shall prove
What fate attends Glenarvon's love.

Song, In Imitation Of Shakspeare's

1

Blow, blow, thou vernal gale!
Thy balm will not avail
To ease my aching breast;
Though thou the billows smooth,
Thy murmurs cannot soothe
My weary soul to rest.

2

Flow, flow, thou tuneful stream!
Infuse the easy dream
Into the peaceful soul;
But thou canst not compose
The tumult of my woes,
Though soft thy waters roll.

3

Blush, blush, ye fairest flowers!
Beauties surpassing yours
My Rosalind adorn;
Nor is the Winter's blast,
That lays your glories waste,
So killing as her scorn.

4

Breathe, breathe, ye tender lays,
That linger down the maze
Of yonder winding grove;
O let your soft control
Bend her relenting soul
To pity and to love.

5

Fade, fade, ye flowerets fair!
Gales, fan no more the air!
Ye streams, forget to glide;
Be hush'd each vernal strain;
Since nought can soothe my pain,
Nor mitigate her pride.

Woman!

Place the white man on Afric's coast,
Whose swarthy sons in blood delight,
Who of their scorn to Europe boast,
And paint their very demons white:
There, while the sterner sex disdains
To soothe the woes they cannot feel,
Woman will strive to heal his pains,
And weep for those she cannot heal:
Hers is warm pity's sacred glow;
From all her stores she bears a part,
And bids the spring of hope re-flow,
That languish'd in the fainting heart.

'What though so pale his haggard face,
So sunk and sad his looks,'--she cries;
'And far unlike our nobler race,
With crisped locks and rolling eyes;
Yet misery marks him of our kind;
We see him lost, alone, afraid;
And pangs of body, griefs in mind,
Pronounce him man, and ask our aid.

'Perhaps in some far-distant shore
There are who in these forms delight;
Whose milky features please them more,
Than ours of jet thus burnished bright;
Of such may be his weeping wife,
Such children for their sire may call,
And if we spare his ebbing life,
Our kindness may preserve them all.'

Thus her compassion Woman shows:
Beneath the line her acts are these;
Nor the wide waste of Lapland-snows
Can her warm flow of pity freeze: -
'From some sad land the stranger comes,
Where joys like ours are never found;
Let's soothe him in our happy homes,
Where freedom sits, with plenty crown'd.

'Tis good the fainting soul to cheer,
To see the famish'd stranger fed;
To milk for him the mother-deer,
To smooth for him the furry bed.
The powers above our Lapland bless
With good no other people know;
T'enlarge the joys that we possess,
By feeling those that we bestow!'

Thus in extremes of cold and heat,
Where wandering man may trace his kind;
Wherever grief and want retreat,
In Woman they compassion find;
She makes the female breast her seat,
And dictates mercy to the mind.

Man may the sterner virtues know,
Determined justice, truth severe;
But female hearts with pity glow,
And Woman holds affliction dear;
For guiltless woes her sorrows flow,
And suffering vice compels her tear;
'Tis hers to soothe the ills below,
And bid life's fairer views appear:
To Woman's gentle kind we owe
What comforts and delights us here;
They its gay hopes on youth bestow,
And care they soothe, and age they cheer.

Let 'Em Slip. Let 'Em Go. Your Woes

Keep what you value treasured.
That which is kept,
And known to you unmeasured.
To protect with your best.
Don't ever let your credits,
Dip to emotional depths.
With a debiting that upsets.
Let this flow of woe go!
Let 'Em Slip. Let 'Em Go. Your Woes

Don't revisit the taking of risks.
Let this flow of woe go!
What to you is the benefit.
Let this flow of woe go!
Heal from a wound and be done with it.
Let this flow of woe go.
Let 'Em Slip. Let 'Em Go. Your Woes

Keep what you value treasured.
That which is kept,
And known to you unmeasured,
To protect with your best.
Don't ever let your credits,
Dip to emotional depths.
With a debiting that upsets.
Let this flow of woe go!
Let 'Em Slip. Let 'Em Go. Your Woes

Put all your interest in happiness.
Let your flow of woe go!
Don't be picked to begin a fit.
Let your flow of woe go.
Don't get involved with people like this.
Let your flow of woe go.
Unloosen your hold.
Let 'Em Slip. Let 'Em Go. Your Woes

Don't revisit the taking of risks.
Let this flow of woe go!
What to you is the benefit.
Let this flow of woe go!
Heal from a wound and be done with it.
Let this flow of woe go.
Let them slip. Let them go. Your woes.
Let 'em slip. Let 'em go. Your woes.

To James Forbes, Esq.

WHEN sever'd from this hostile shore,
A weary captive now no more,
Home, cherish'd home, shall glad your sight
In blessedness of fresh delight;
While love shall weave new spells around
That spot of consecrated ground,

Where sweet domestic joy imparts
The charm that binds congenial hearts,
And filial tenderness prepares
A balm for all terrestrial cares:--
Forget not,--ah, forget not those
Who sought to soothe the captive's woes!
Exult, be happy, and be free,
But give one pensive thought to me!

We’re not apart

You and I by fate
Now fell apart,
With rendezvous
Becoming rare or never.

If I needed you
Would you come to me
For to soothe my pain?
May not. You are tied.
If you needed me
I would come to you
All along from anywhere,
Even risking my pride,
For to soothe your pain.

Still if I needed you
Would you send me
At least kind words
For to dress my wounds?
Doubtful! You’re afraid.
If you needed me
I would come to you,
Even braving the storm,
For to dress your wounds.

Still if I needed you
Would you call me,
The least, with queries,
For to cure my ills.
Perhaps! You are shy.
If you needed me
I would come to you,
Even staking my life,
For to cure your ills.

For not to come to me,
To soothe me, to dress me
Or to cure me is not
To have no love, no heart
Or no soul for me.
I know pretty, dear.
You are the cause;
You are the balm;
For my every spasm.

Tear the fear, my dear.

Dont Mess With Me

Fly like an eagle,
An outlaw of the sun,
Stealing round your bedroom door
A case of hit n run.
Sinner, sinner,
Im no angel you can see.
So I will tell you now
And I wont say it again,
Dont mess with me
Oh baby, dont mess with me.
Ride like a demon,
The devils only son.
A whiskey drinking son of a bitch,
Ive only just begun.
Sinner, sinner,
Im no angel you can see.
I told you once before
And I wont say it again,
Dont mess with me,
Dont mess with me.
(solo)
Soothe me baby like I soothe you,
Treat me baby like I treat you.
Soothe me baby like I soothe you,
Treat me baby like i...
Fly like an eagle
An outlaw of the sun,
Never take what sleeps around
But, always get your fun.
Sinner, sinner,
Youre no angel I can see.
I told you once before
And I wont say it again,
Dont mess with me,
Dont mess with me.
cos Im a sinner
And sinners aint the loving kind.

Life is a sea of misery

In a rain-shadow region I was born.
Fate pulled my life apart to be torn.
The mighty gods from the mountains around
blessed me to breeze through the woes of life!

I writhed in pain and agony,
with a series of deaths in our family.
I didn’t understand,
where I was destined to.
You blessed me to breeze through the woes of life!

I swam in the ocean of misery
and roamed in the jungles with her memory.
I didn’t curse my fate
and have no one to hate.
You blessed me to breeze through the woes of life!

Depression

I do not need cares and woes.
I don't need any of those.
They bring you down.
You wear a frown
and lines show on your face.
These lines you can't erase.
They are there so you can remember
as you count them all.
They only appear from depression
from into which you fall.
I do not need cares and woes
but sometimes that's how life goes.

Slumber Land

Take me off to slumber land,
the pleasantest place I know.
Let me talk with angels
for surely they do know

how to soothe my being,
how to soothe my mind,
how to make me understand
what's happening to mankind?

For my eyes when I'm awake
are weeping silently
while viewing sights unGodly
among humanity.

Do the angels in my dreams
see what I do see?
Or do they shy away from it
for it's not heavenly?

I know my angels wait for me
to fall asleep at night
so they can replace my daily scene
with serenity in my sight.
