My nemesis - my downfall, if you will - was relationships, and trying to fulfill them.

It Doesn't Take a Rocket Scientist
The duality of false representation,
Eventually shows the origin...
From where it has been created.
Consumed by ego,
Is their downfall!
And it doesn't take a rocket scientist,
To connect the culprits to their deeds.
Consumed by ego,
Is their downfall!
There is a trail of incompetence,
Wherever they go...
With a wish to get acknowledgement,
And undeserving praise.
Consumed by ego,
Is their downfall!
And unfortunate are those,
Committed to follow.
Consumed by ego,
Is their downfall!
And shoulders to cry on,
They seek to weep.

Downfall
Wonder how you sleep
I wonder what you think of me
If I could go back
Would you have ever been with me
I want you to be unused
I want you to remember
I want you to believe in me
I want you on my side
[chorus]
Come on and lay it down
Ive always been with you
Here and now
Give all thats within you
Be my savior
And Ill be your downfall
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Here we go again
Ashamed of being broken in
Were getting off track
I wanna get you back again
I want you to trouble me
I wanted you turning down
I want you to agree with me
I want so much so bad
[chorus]
Come on and lay it down
Ive always been with you
Here and now
Give all thats within you
Be my savior
And Ill be your downfall
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Yeah, be my savior
(only love can save us now)
(dont lay me down)
(only love can save us now)
Ill be your downfall (Ill be your downfall)
(ah, love can save us now)
(dont save me now)
Lay it down
Ive always been with you
Hear me now
With all thats within you
Be my savior
And Ill be your downfall
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Now Im back on my own
Hear my feet, theyre made of stone
Man, I make you go where I go
Well hell, you, can I take you home
Well, Im coming home on my back
Kissing me, your lips painted black
Saying oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Let me be your downfall
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Let me be your downfall, baby

Nemesis
Behold the gracious Nemesis,
With white quill in her hand...
She wrote with this all things amiss,
So all would understand...
She took the lives the Gods despised,
She flew to hunt them down,
Delighting when they stared surprised
Upon her purple gown...
Behold the ancient Nemesis,
With silver sword at rest...
Who brought men bliss, then the Abyss
When justice stirred her breast...
When golden-winged she flew above
And circled them below...
Denouncing them for lack of love,
She made their lifeforce go...
Behold the Doomsday Nemesis,
With compass by her side...
Yes, there she is! Life's final kiss!
For there's no place to hide!
She stalks the callous and the cold,
The vicious and the vile...
The final sight that they behold
Is Nemesis's smile...

You Fulfill My Needs
The way You fulfill my needs...
I witness.
Those doubting You,
And insist You do not exist...
I leave them alone!
I am pleased You have shown me Your light.
And You have confirmed I do not have to prove
I am right about You!
You 'are' there!
And I am here to receive my blessings!
The way You fulfill me needs...
Keeps me devoted to You,
In constant prayer!
And I will be there attracted...
To this attachment!
What others feel about You and me,
And Your ability to please...
May 'say' they know You,
But 'why' do they moan and sigh like they do?
They way You fulfill my needs...
I witness.
I am right about You!
You 'are' there!
And I am here to receive my blessings!
The way You fulfill me needs...
Keeps me devoted to You,
In constant prayer!
The others on their knees pleading...
Seem to fear to test their faith!
And perhaps that is way they fake their closeness.
Believing You aren't near to hear them.
Trying to prosper from You,
Like thieves out of sight and out of Your view!
They way You fulfill my needs...
I witness.
And You have allowed me to see 'them' too!
You have allowed me to 'see' and know truth.
I no longer fantasize!
Thank You for opening wider my eyes!

Your rivals
The downfall is experienced
By the one with humiliation.
The downfall is witnessed
By others with satisfaction.
The rising is experienced
By the one with exhilaration.
The rising is witnessed
By others with reservation.
Others all are your rivals.

Relationships
Relationships!
Now she is gone forever but,
Her first name was like my first night in bed with her;
And of her mind so free and of her love so sweet,
But now she is gone forever.
Relationships!
And of her figure like the Penthouse;
But the Devil in her City was like,
The harvest time with her sweet love!
And it was like the old school and the new school in arms.
Relationships!
Longing to come home with her once again like last night;
But it was all over and she is gone forever!
She was my lover and of her mind so free and so sweet,
But some relationships do not last forever.

When Those Aspects Aren't There To Nourish
Why would anyone,
Take it upon themselves to assume...
That someone else,
Who has been accustomed to being on their own...
Without them having a significant presence,
At anytime remembered and has been alone...
Suddenly awaken with a desire to fulfill an urge,
For something unknown but is craved to fill a void?
Some people wanting to establish long lasting relationships,
Should not wait until the need has exhausted...
The interest, reason, purpose or desire.
When those aspects aren't there to nourish...
What is the point?

Instead, I think over the years we have cut the strength of marriage and relationships by the law and weakened the institution. We have tried to deal with relationships with no-fault divorce, with child custody, with so many other avenues; and it has not helped.

Tied to Anguish and Defeat
Following close in isolated disagreement,
With every hidden creep that's ever crept...
Eyes kept focused like a trap device.
Observing a downfall in regret.
A downfall met not meant to be...
Steamrolled and heated,
On the banks of shores where fantasies are born.
And protests of empty nesters scream,
'This is not out dream! '
But whose dream was it...
To accumulate with good credit?
And debts they are forced to repay?
Debts tied to anguish and defeat!

A broad based prostitution
Solemnized marriages have given
Way to the live-in relationships.
The live-in relationships would give way
To the sexual friendships, light and shifting.

We all want to be loved. If we can't find love in a relationship we try to find it in our work. No matter how many times you get burned or how many of your relationships go sour, no one's ever going to give up on relationships.
