Often devotion to virtue arises from sated desire.

Were there no desire there would be no virtue, and because one man desires what another does not, who shall say whether the child of his desire be Vice or Virtue?

Devotion
If I am right
If I can be
Constant and faithful
Youll find me
In my devotion
In my devotion
What if you find a fault
Between my purpose and my deeds
And deem me beyond salvation
Judge me to be unworthy
Of your devotion
Of your devotion
If this be obsession deliver me
A passing infatuation deliver me
A feeling lacking in purity deliver me
A test of fidelity deliver me
Deliver me
Deliver me
What if I should find
Youre no good for me
What if I cant be strong enough
What if I cant break free
Of my devotion
Of my devotion

Dr. Johnson has said that the chief glory of a country arises from its authors. But then that is only as they are oracles of wisdom; unless they teach virtue, they are more worthy of a halter than of the laurel.

Comfortable Kindness
The comfortable has a region,
We have no excellent virtue
But the virtue of virtues,
For this compels our comfort.
Damaged we stay, and defenceless;
Defend us now that dirt arises,
From the days of broken natures.
Complete my exact existence,
Instil the hearts you hear with kindness.
The disillusioned beliefs infer a madness
That we have no complex with,
Just deeds are again our command.
Common virtues shall attain our circle,
The circle of kindness and relief.

And what does reward virtue? You think the communist commissar rewards virtue? You think a Hitler rewards virtue? You think, excuse me, if you'll pardon me, American presidents reward virtue? Do they choose their appointees on the basis of the virtue of the people appointed or on the basis of their political clout?

Love Devotion & Surrender
Love, devotion surrender
Listen,
If youre tired of walkin around and getting nowhere,
I know, theres a path thats leading towards the master.
Chorus:
Love, devotion and surrender
Love, devotion and surrender
Love, devotion and surrender
Love, devotion and surrender.
Oh, brother, listen to the rhythm of your heartbeat,
Its keeping time with all the universal children (chorus)
Sister, sing the song created for your brother
Louder, till the (your) heart embraces all the harmony (chorus)

An Ever Open Door
Desire to live, love and dream
Desire to desire more
Desire is the flirtiest whim
It's an ever open door.
Desire to touch you once
Desire to break into a dance
Desire to hold your hand
Desire to build on sand!
It's an ever open door
You desire and desire more!

The effect of the virtue
A man of virtue practises virtue
Against the myriads of odds, so true,
And wove around him a crust of virtue
But his core remained as same underneath.
His libido is much in compression,
Capable of giving more explosions.
A man of virtue is a potential danger
From whom might spurt evils at any scale.

A desire arises in the mind. It is satisfied immediately another comes. In the interval which separates two desires a perfect calm reigns in the mind. It is at this moment freed from all thought, love or hate.

Desire
My desire
is always the same; wherever Life
deposits me:
I want to stick my toe
& soon my whole body
into the water.
I want to shake out a fat broom
& sweep dried leaves
bruised blossoms
dead insects
& dust.
I want to grow
something.
It seems impossible that desire
can sometimes transform into devotion;
but this has happened.
And that is how I've survived:
how the hole
I carefully tended
in the garden of my heart
grew a heart
to fill it.

Loss And Gain
Virtue runs before the muse
And defies her skill,
She is rapt, and doth refuse
To wait a painter's will.
Star-adoring, occupied,
Virtue cannot bend her,
Just to please a poet's pride,
To parade her splendor.
The bard must be with good intent
No more his, but hers,
Throw away his pen and paint,
Kneel with worshippers.
Then, perchance, a sunny ray
From the heaven of fire,
His lost tools may over-pay,
And better his desire.

I starve for a fruit on a tree
I am forbidden to pluck
the fruit that ripened.
I can get access to fallen
fruit, but it is rotten.
My desire exists.
My want is not sated.
One consolation-
I am not weary of you
who I am in pursuit of
and in whom my taste is alive
as you aren’t a fallen fruit.

Ch 02 The Morals Of Dervishes Story 36
One of the ulemma of solid learning, having been asked for his opinion about waqfbread, answered: ‘If it be accepted to insure tranquillity of mind from cares for food and to obtain leisure for devotion, it is lawful but if it be taken for maintenance it is forbidden.’
Bread is taken for the corner of devotion
By pious men and not the corner of devotion for bread.
The determined scholar and the man of virtue will not seek to live at the expense of injuring their virtue. They will even sacrifice their lives to preserve their virtue complete.

Desire
Desire intends to merge
With addiction
Crossfire, in between the feat
Body wasting…
Mind jumps into brazen pool
Honey melts, drips in crushes
Soul catching soul
Diaphragm of craving enlarges
Waves of blood, rush incessantly
Desire floods the veins
Longing invades taste
As long as the Sun is alive
I can see the hope, shining so bright
As long as the nights, painted in blue
I can see the twining possible
Dear, dearer dearest
Catch me…
Let me breathe your soiled love
Weighed in heavy drooling lust
Allow me to swim in your ocean of devotion
Drown…die smiling
Desire defeats desire
Decorative euphony

Show A Little Devotion
Everything that you wanted
Everything that you love
Yeah
Will run away from you
Everything that you care for
Yeah - yeah
Show a little devotion
In my _________________????? [No idea, ends with 'devotion']
No, the minute I saw your face
Is there anything that I can do?
Anything at all?
You'd tell me about it won't you?
Any way that I can help?
Just tell me about it
Won't you
So that I can do it
Anything at all
Just tell me what it is that you want
Then I can do it
Everything has an ending
And Everything has a tale to wag
-YEAH
ANSWER ME love [here I'm sure]
Everyone has a right to that
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah
Show me a little devotion
GIVEGET ALL MY DEVOTION ????? [not sure]
I don't worry
about IT AT ALL ????? [not sure]
And you know the minute I saw your face
Hey
Is there anything THAT I can do? ['That' missing]
Anything at all?
You'd tell me about it won't you?
IS THERE ANY WAY THAT I can help ['Is there' mumbled]
Just tell me what it is
Then I can do it
Anything at all
Just tell me what it is that you want
Then I can do it
Anything at all
Just put the words together for me
Then I can do it
Anything at all
Just tell me what it is that you want
Then I can do it

Devotion
Maurice white & philip bailey
Thru devotion, blessed are the children
Praise the teacher, that brings true love to many
Your devotion, opens all lifes treasures
And deliverance, from the fruits of evil.
So our mission, to bring a melody,
Ringin voices sing sweet harmony
For you heres a song, to make your day brighter.
One that will last, you long thru troubled days.
Giving your heart the light to brighten.
All of the dark that falls in your way
You need devotion. bless the children
Deliverance from the fruits of evil
In everyones life, theres a need to be happy.
Let the sun shine, a smile your way.
Open your heart, feel a touch of devotion.
Maybe this song, will help uplift your day.
Make a better way
You need devotion

Virtue alone is for real; all else is sham. Talent and greatness depend on virtue, not on fortune. Only virtue is sufficient unto herself. She makes us love the living and remember the dead.
