In fact, it is often times a detriment for the Government to preemptively legislate on an issue before we can either define it or grasp its impact.

It's a hard thing to legislate. You can't legislate good taste and you can't put a number on it in terms of square footage,... It's a question of where individual rights end and community rights begin.

I believe in an America with a government of men devoted solely to the public interests — men of ability and dedication, free from conflict or corruption or other commitment — a responsible government that is efficient and economical, with a balanced budget over the years of the cycle, reducing its debt in prosperous times — a government willing to entrust the people with the facts that they have — not a businessman's government, with business in the saddle … not a labor government, not a farmer's government, not a government of one section of the country or another, but a government of, for and by the people.

Define insanity, define me
'A spectrum of behaviours characterised by
certain abnormal mental or behavioural patterns
that may manifest as violation of societal norms
including becoming a danger to themselves and others or
nowadays denoting mental instability'
Hey! wiki define abnormal, because I don't understand
Tell me who decides societal norms, cause I didn't contribute to them
Let me be dangerous, let me be myself
The stability of whom should I look at?
Define love, define pain, define sufferance
define mercy, define justice, define tolerance
define passion, define sex, define complexity
define insanity, please define me
Take me out of this dream, I can't catch the reality
lead me through this wet fog, guide me home
all my senses are enhanced when
I'm abandoned to your memory
Borderline attitude of being nervous, occasionally anguished
a stormy spirit supposedly calm, a balance quite disturbed
people are arrogant with strange guys
people are scared about non-linear minds
are you among them?
Define love, define pain, define sufferance
define mercy, define justice, define tolerance
define passion, define sex, define complexity
define insanity, please define me

Legislate Love....
it is sad...
when we feel the need
to legislate love.
sadder still,
when we seek to define love
by our own narrow perceptions,
and call it moral law.
diversity is not an evil word,
neither is equality...
the law of love is unwritten,
unbound by concepts or prejudice...
and can only be defined
by the individual human heart!

In the twentieth century one of the most personal relationships to have developed is that of the person and the state. It's become a fact of life that governments have become very intimate with people, most always to their detriment.

I, Hi, Eye, Goodbye
I once met eye to eye
A guy I kind of liked
He said hi and I said hi
He was stubborn and I alike
He believed if you rolled a dice
A mice who does bad should receive his vice
Bad for bad, good to good people who were nice
An eye for an eye
On the issue of black and white, I saw dye
Hence he and I
We could not see eye to eye
Nor agree on any issue besides
The fact that if ever we did decide
To agree on anything beside
The fact that we could never agree side by side
It will be on the certainty of our goodbye, goodbye.

The fact is five months ago this was an issue that people weren't really talking that much about. Because of the president's leadership, because he's brought it to people's attention, it's now a top issue.

Surely the President can agree with us, that theft from government is not good. I know it's bold. It's out on the edge. I know from a Chicago-Springfield background it's hard to fully grasp that honesty could be part of government.

The lesser of two evils.
Do gooders have done their best.
To end effective punishment.
Although their ideas fail the test.
Let criminals do as they please.
They’re well aware they’ll get away
with almost any kind of crime.
In the lawless world of today.
In my opinion it’s past time.
To reintroduce discipline.
The birch, the cat and yes the rope.
Society must redefine
soft options which cannot cope.
With those that choose to break the law
To other peoples detriment.
The only way is to restore
a healthy fear of punishment.
The general public would agree
to bring back corporal punishment.
Including the Death Penalty.
But can’t convince the government.
Who fear adverse publicity
and lack the moral fibre to
protect all of society.
Instead of favouring the few.
Who batten on the rest of us
Because the Government daren’t act.
Their arguments are spurious.
I see this as established fact.
Perhaps mine is a biased view.
I could be wrong I must confess.
The question which I put to you.
Do you agree: Say no or yes.

How you define yourself is a major issue for young people and adults alike.
Said Before To Say It Again
On my mind are these times.
And I do find these times on my mind,
Hard to define.
With a keeping of those,
Feeling these times have them boxed in.
And on my mind,
There is a reason to seek rhythm and rhyme.
With my visions set,
On what it would take...
To increase my happiness.
I've said this before to say it again.
I'm not looking for stoppers,
To block as obstacles to hop over.
Or the welcoming arms of acceptance.
With a hope that they will open,
The gates to a fence to feel I've been approved.
On my mind are these times.
And I do find these times on my mind,
Hard to define.
With a keeping of those,
Feeling these times have them boxed in.
Acceptance or not,
I'm not looking to get out of a box.
Too many have found themselves there,
To argue over space,
With little of it that to share.
I've said this before to say it again.
Those feeling trapped,
Like it exactly like that.
Fresh is the air,
One dares to breathe alone.
Revitalized is an atmosphere,
When the clearing of a sky,
Becomes recognized to the one who looks...
To discover the vastness of it to become known.

What we have, however, is an issue that has tremendous impact here at home, and we believe that Americans are starting to feel vulnerable, not just from what is going on around the world but right here in the United States.

Yes, look, social class is definitely an issue in Britain, it is definitely an issue and I think that most people across the country would sympathise with the idea that there are lots of people with talent and ability all across this country who want to make more of themselves and part of the responsibility of government is to make that happen.

Salt Is.... Just Salty
There's so much in this world I cannot explain
The greatest scholars try in vain
Not because the knowledge is so loft
Not because we're growing soft
Nor because it's abstract
But in fact
Quite the opposite
Because some words there's just not a definition that can fit
The problem doesn't come from the objects
It's the simplicity that does perplex
Even the wisest of us all
Our logic does fall
Because it is so far below
How do we define the? What about slow
There's salt, and memory, and even know
What do we know if we don't know such words
People complain of jargon, taxonomic names for birds
But they can't even define what's simple
With that problem, man we got our hands full
We just cop out
Said that salt is salty, the is the, we live without
A real definition, but I think it's those words that are most profound
Belief, God Truth the list goes on, but this is where true wisdom is found
There's the trivial we can seek define
Or there's the words that matter most which will define
Us, it's those words I think that we should not just verbalize
But instead simply realize
That the definition is known by experience
It's indescribable because they're just that amazing
Our inexperience
Of what's unimportant is as tragic as not knowing
Our own Father, and the pursuit of other things to define us
Is as trivial as looking for a definition of truth.

Indulged By Extravagance
With a dose of sugar.
And lots of forget-me-nots...
Haven't we all been induced with fantasy?
Feeling 'exclusive'
And detriment free!
Able to do what we wish and please.
While feeding on an ignorance,
Indulged by extravagance.
As we pass judgements with glee.
Haven't we all been hypnotized,
By a way of life,
We believe produces jealousy.
And now we find we are behind the times.
With a feasting of our gluttony...
Causing a democracy,
To bleed from an endless greed.
With a desire that reality,
Is a delusion someday will go away!
With a dose of sugar.
And lots of forget-me-nots...
Haven't we all been induced,
With fantasy?
Feeling 'exclusive'
That our needs we feed,
Are detriment free!
