I have heard something said on this and a former occasion about allegiance to the South. I know no South, no North, no East, no West, to which I owe any allegiance. I owe allegiance to two sovereignty, and only two: one is the sovereignty of this Union, and the other is the sovereignty of the state of Kentucky. My allegiance is to this Union and to my state; but if gentlemen suppose they can exact from me an acknowledgement of allegiance to any ideal or future contemplated confederacy of the South, I here declare that I owe no allegiance to it; nor will I, for one, come under any such allegiance if I can avoid it.

Pretty Little Head
Hillmen, hillmen, hillmen, hillmen.
Oh, oh. oh, oh.
Hillmen come down from the lava.
Forging across the mighty river flow. oh, oh.
Always forever, only so you dont worry
Your pretty little head.
Ursa major......ursa major......
Hillmen, hillmen, hillmen, hillmen.
Oh, oh. oh, oh.
Hillmen bring garments, spices.
Carrying trinkets, slik and precious stones. oh, oh.
Exotic legends,
Only so you dont worry
Your pretty little head.
Hillmen, hillmen, hillmen, hillmen.
Oh, oh. oh, oh.
Hillmen are sworn to allegiance.
Living a life of silent dignity. oh, oh.
For your protection,
Only so you dont worry
Your pretty little head.
Ursa major......ursa major......
The hillman......
Living in the higher reaches.

The oath of renunciation and allegiance is a solemn vow taken by thousands of immigrants each year to become a United States citizen. The oath is the fundamental statement of allegiance to the United States, and this allegiance is what unites America.
Scheherazade
How many nights to your heart?
Thousand nights and one
Can I get there by storytelling
Yes, there and back again
If your love is pure and strong
You can get there by storytelling

We are at a major epoch in human history, which is that we don't need sex to recreate the race. You can have babies without sex. This is the first time in human history that has been true, and it means, for example, we could do some extraordinary things.

It was the best route to get folks to understand segregation fast. Civil rights and women's rights had a clear history. Making the transition to rights for people with disabilities became easier because we had the history of the other two.

Space Oddity
[David Bowie]
Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills
And put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom
Commencing countdown, engines on
Check ignition
And may God's love be with you
Ten, nine eight, seven, six, five
Four, three, two, one, liftoff
This is Ground Control to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know
Whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule
If you dare
This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculair way
And the stars look very different
Today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do
Though I'm past 100,000 miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows
Which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much,
She knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead,
There's something wrong
Can you hear me Major Tom
Can you hear me Major Tom
Can you hear me Major Tom
Can you....
Here am I floating round my tin can
Far above the Moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do

Major Barbara
Major
Major barbara sits in the fields
And waits for her crops to grow
She sits in a chair
She made out of wood
So many, many years ago
Major, why dont they grow
Youve given them water and hope
Major, why wont they grow
She waits all day
And hopes through the night
For a new day that might show
A bright yellow sun
Thatll make the crops come
And let the old days go
Major, why wont they grow
Youve given them water and hope
Major, why wont they grow
Major
Look out in your fields
Tell me what do you see shinin through
Major
Look after your fields
And your fields will look after you
Yes they do
Yes they do
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Major, why wont they grow
Youve given them water and hope
Major, why wont they grow

learn the subject by studing its psychology
understanding is the only way for success
now we move on to the next step
you are the subject which i study to major
as i take hold of your hand
guide you through rough times throughout this life
you are the subject which i study to major

Black History Month
In January...
There they are making history.
In February...
There they are making history.
In March...
There they are making history.
In April...
There they are making history.
In May...
There they are making history.
In June...
There they are making history.
In July...
There they are making history.
In August...
There they are making history.
In September...
There they are making history.
In October...
There they are making history.
In November...
There they are making history.
In December...
There they are making history.
But...
It's nice to know
The shortest month of the year
Was chosen to celebrate
The great deeds of African-Americans!
However...
It is those LEAP YEARS,
That really have the blacks jumping for joy!

History
a famous person dies
History
a war rages
History
a new invention
History
a building opens
History
what happens if something happens to me
is that history?
no....
So why do we care.....

It's a major part of world history that men are trying to kill each other. It's just one slaughter after the other. We talk about it, but no one's really listening.
For the first time in history all the major countries in the world are pushing together to reach this goal... building something in space that is really for all humankind.

I've left Boro in the Premiership, which was always what I wanted to do. Actually that's not quite true. I took them to three cup finals, where they'd never been before. But I had set my eyes on being the first manager in their history to deliver a major trophy.

History is a living horse laughing at a wooden horse. History is a wind blowing where it listeth. History is no sure thing to bet on. History is a box of tricks with a lost key. History is a labyrinth of doors with sliding panels, a book of ciphers with the code in a cave of the Saragossa sea. History says, if it pleases, Excuse me, I beg your pardon, it will never happen again if I can help it.
