I do think that we are facing a crisis in our democracy. As true patriots, each and every one of us has to speak up, speak out, and change those in charge. Our democracy depends upon it.

The truth is like democracy
An ideal we aspire to
But it seems we can't agree.
Nor are we ever likely to.
What's true for me is not for you
What you believe I can't accept.
We hold opposing points of view.
Each one deserving of respect.
We tend to see democracy.
As rule by the majority.
Subjected to close scrutiny
It proves to be a fallacy.
Someone must wield authority.
Though sadly there are very few.
Who have the capability
and even fewer willing to.
Assume responsibility.
So we make do with second best.
But is that true democracy.
I have to say I'm not impressed.
By Ideals which I don't believe.
That we cannot possibly achieve.
One truth and true democracy.
As long as men think differently.
To tell the truth I find it odd
That men who claim to speak for God.
Can hold so many different views
Infinite in variety.
The being who created me
Saw fit to set me free.
No priest has the authority
To take away my liberty.

In democracy
In democracy
Writ of the peole runs.
In democracy
Repesentatives should not
Called leaders.
In democracy
Representatives must not
Act as er whim.
In democracy
Representative should not
Show dictatorial style.
In democracy
Representative should not have
Arrogance of power.
In democracy
Treachery and
Ruthless decisions
Not good.
In democracy
The representatives
Should be sensitives
Towards sensitive issues.

Democracy doesn't recognize east or west; democracy is simply people's will. Therefore, I do not acknowledge that there are various models of democracy; there is just democracy itself.

Democracy is never a thing done. Democracy is always something that a nation must be doing. What is necessary now is one thing and one thing only that democracy become again democracy in action, not democracy accomplished and piled up in goods and gold.

Roots of Democracy
true democracy
never conquers
by force... never
walks on the rights
of any human being
in the name of profit...
never excludes anyone
because they are different.
never panders to the big
at the expense of the small!
true democracy liberates
the human inside the human...
preserves dignity by equality,
allows questioning, and doubt...
true democracy cant be bought,
and cant be sold...
maybe now's the time to
get back to our roots!

Democracy v Liberty
The fathers of democracy.
The ancient Greek philosophers
were dependent on slavery.
Which leaves me in a quandary.
How can it be democracy
to have such inequality?
I think democracy should be
a universal human right.
Though it is not quite obviously.
An ideal to aspire to.
Which one day might be possible.
The time has come now to review.
What we mean by democracy.
If everybody has their say.
It might well lead to anarchy.
When we elect a government.
The will of the majority
is what they’re meant to represent..
But it seems they rarely do.
This cannot be democracy.
the many are ruled by the few.
Who gain control quite legally
because their wealth allows them to
encouraged by our apathy.
The systems open to abuse
The people have the power to
insist on change; which we don’t use.
We vote or not just as we choose.
A facet of democracy.
I would be hesitant to lose.
It seems to me democracy
is something which we can’t achieve
and still retain our liberty.
There is no way that I can see
which will be fair to everyone.
I must admit despondently.
A partial democracy
is what we have and will retain
a curb upon our liberty.
You have no reason to complain
if you choose not to use your vote.
You have the freedom to abstain.

Scot-free
No body should go scot-free
This is democracy.
Law will take its own course
This is democracy.
Freedom of speech and expression
Is for all in this democracy.
Freedom of movement for all
In this democracy.
All these are in theory
In practice
Please do not ask anybody.

I don’t think anybody truly knows where we’re going from here yet. It depends on too many unknowns. We don’t know where the COVID virus is going to take us. We don’t know where Black Lives Matter is going to take us right now. Do we get a real practical conversation going about race and policing and ultimately about the economic inequality that’s been a stain on our social contract? And of course, nobody knows where our next election is going to take us. I believe that our current president is a threat to our democracy. He simply makes any kind of reform that much harder. I don’t know if our democracy could stand another four years of his custodianship. These are all existential threats to our democracy and our American way of life.

Democracy's a very fragile thing. You have to take care of democracy. As soon as you stop being responsible to it and allow it to turn into scare tactics, it's no longer democracy, is it? It's something else. It may be an inch away from totalitarianism.

This country has always been run by elite, and it's an elitist democracy. And that's not a radical concept. It's elitist democracy. When people talk about democracy, they don't talk - really talk about participatory democracy, until the point that we get us at Election Day.

Speak With Kindness (Or Do Not Speak At All)
speak with kindness,
or do not speak at all.
speak not of judgement,
you are not the judge.
speak not of salvation,
let your living be your scriptures.
speak not of scriptures,
let your actions be your holy book.
speak not as apostle or teacher,
speak as a human being.
speak not of god,
then god will speak through you!
speak not as a man,
for you are woman too.
speak not with hateful malice,
for love does not work that way.
speak not as a prophet or seer,
speak as compassion made flesh.
speak not of morality,
speak of connection.
speak not of authority,
the tree and the leaf have just as much.
speak not of holiness,
for all that lives be holy.
speak with kindness...
or do not speak at all!

Democracy... while it lasts is more bloody than either aristocracy or monarchy. Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.

What is democracy?
They said that the government of the people,
By the people and for the people, remarkable,
Democracy in many countries of third world,
Derived from aimless policies and controversies untold,
People on the street hope for the better tomorrow,
As the tomorrow, their hope never comes true,
Is Painting the finger once in a few years the democracy?
Is carrying the placards with empty stomach a liberty?
Are the indebted human tied with the voiceless economical stump?
When people having nothing, they have the voice,
When people everything, they have a voice with no noise.
Human are made dump for they not want to lose their properties,
Human are made to be tolerant, when they are kept vertical,
Human are confused with capitalistic democracy,
Human are not comfortable with socialistic democracy,
What is the meaning for democracy,
when the mind and the body are controlled?

Democracy Dream
What is democracy
it is just
make friend foe.
What is election
in a democracy
it is just
mutton, chiken
and liquor.
What is dream
it is just
gather wealth
by hook or crook.
Dream and Democracy
one and the same.
It is neverending game.
And we are inshame.

When the Bush Begins to Speak
They know us not in England yet, their pens are overbold;
We're seen in fancy pictures that are fifty years too old.
They think we are a careless race - a childish race, and weak;
They'll know us yet in England, when the bush begins to speak;
When the bush begins to speak,
When the bush begins to speak,
When the west by Greed's invaded, and the bush begins to speak.
'The leaders that will be', the men of southern destiny,
Are not all found in cities that are builded by the sea;
They learn to love Australia by many a western creek,
They'll know them yet in England, when the bush begins to speak;
When the bush begins to speak,
When the bush begins to speak,
When the west by Greed's invaded, and the bush begins to speak.
All ready for the struggle, and waiting for the change,
The army of our future lies encamped beyond the range;
Australia, for her patriots, will not have far to seek;
They'll know her yet in England when the bush begins to speak;
When the bush begins to speak,
When the bush begins to speak,
When the west by Greed's invaded, and the bush begins to speak.
We'll find the peace and comfort that our fathers could not find,
Or some shall strike the good old blow that leaves a mark behind.
We'll find the Truth and Liberty our fathers came to seek,
Or let them know in England when the bush begins to speak;
When the bush begins to speak,
When the bush begins to speak,
When the west by Greed's invaded, and the bush begins to speak.

Rejection of clemency
Rejection of clemency is
Not against democracy.
Democracy now become
Assembled of a gang of thugs.
The fundament of democracy
Violated by bunch of thieves.
No free no fair not transparent
Looting of national wealth rampant.
Clemency lost value
Above all there is no values
No human rights.

Shouldn't We Be More Republic?
Why is the fight...
For democracy
A vision to be enforced by republicans,
Who have long divorced themselves
From the needs of common people?
They are not democrats at all!
But yet they do not hesitate or stall...
To label them librals!
This they will not confess...
Even complex them in distress!
Shouldn't we all be 'republicans'?
Fighting these endless battles?
Shouldn't we all be 'republicates'
With these issues to harnest and saddle?
'I pledge alligence to the...
...and to the 'republic' for which it stands,
One nation under God,
Seems to have slipped from sliding hands! '
There is something very republic about it...
That markets a democracy it misunderstands!
Democratic they may be...
For poster displays plastered in inner cities!
But 'republicans' true they say they are...
And democracy is pursued!
But none is used by far!
For purpose and content...
Their views aren't worth the trash in cans!
If it is true they move as republicans...
Why is democracy costing lives,
By actions 'republicans' command?
'Repeat that pledge again!
This time in its entirety.'

What Are The Requirements Of Democracy?
What are
the requirements
of democracy
in an ennobled
modern society
incorporating
principles
of uncompromising
absolute justice
to light the way?
Democracy requires
accountability
democracy requires
transparency
especially
when extraordinary
steps are taken.
Above all else
democracy requires
compliance with
the rule of law.
Law both domestic
and foreign especially
to achieve maintain
international credibility.
Compliance is impossible
when an extraordinary
despicable technique
such as torture operates
outside of rule the law.
