Under the pressure of the cares and sorrows of our mortal condition, men have at all times, and in all countries, called in some physical aid to their moral consolations - wine, beer, opium, brandy, or tobacco.

Condition Critical
Oh the tension's mounting
The pressure starts to show
All the men in haunting
Please don't let me go
(Don't go)
Try to free my body
(Don't go)
Try to strap me down
(Don't go)
These'll never break me
(Don't go)
Free wheel to look at me
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical
The bells they are ringing
Or is it in my head
My nerves numb understanding
I'm falling out of bed
(Don't go)
So call it paranoia
(Don't go)
I don't see it that way
(Let's go)
You say I adore ya
(Hell no)
We're gonna rock they way
Condition critical
I'm feeling physical
Condition critical
Now I'm really cynical
Ooh ooh
Whips and chains
Don't feel no pain
What's so wrong
I think I'm going out of my head
Over heels
I can't feel
No pain, only pleasure
Get me out
Take me home
Can't you see my condition
Woo-woo-woo

I learned early to drink beer, wine and whiskey. And I think I was about 5 when I first chewed tobacco.
4. A Merry Christmas
Gone shopping for good brandy butter
My homemade plum puddings in need
I don’t want a tin of rum sauce mix
It just wouldn’t do no indeed
Last night’s Christmas Eve rush was crazy
The shop had none left on the shelf
So I bought half a pound of best butter
To mix up with brandy myself
My mixer took brandy and butter
It churned the lot up to a paste
I drank what was left of the brandy
As I don’t like things going to waste
Everyone had a good dinner
With plenty of wine, port and sherry
But no one got fresh brandy butter
We all fell about slightly merry

The Guile of Dad M'Ginnis
When M,Ginnis struck the mining camp at Jamberoora Creek
His behaviour was appreciated highly;
For, although he was a quiet man, in manner mild and meek,
Not like ordinary swagmen with a monumental cheek,
He became the admiration of the camp along the creek
'Cause he showed a point to Kangaroobie Riley!
Both the pubs at Jamberoora had some grog that stood the test
(Not to speak of what was manufactured slyly!)
And the hostel of O'Gorman, which was called The Diggers' Rest,
Was, O'Gorman said, the finest house of any in the west;
But it was a burning question if it really was the best,
Or the "Miners" - kept by Kangaroobie Riley.
Dad M'Ginnis called at Riley's. Said he "felt a trifle queer",
And with something like a wan and weary smile, he
Said he "thought he'd try a whisky". Pushed it back and said, "I fear
I had better take a brandy." Passed that back and said: "Look here,
Take the brandy; after all, I think I'll have a pint of beer!"
And he drank the health of Kangaroobie Riley!
"Where's the money?" asked the publican; "you'll have to pay, begad!"
"Gave the brandy for the beer!" said Dad the wily,
"And I handed you the whisky when I took the brandy, lad!"
"But you paid not for the whisky!" answered Riley. "No," said Dad,
"And you don't expect a man to pay for what he never had!"
- 'Twas the logic flattened Kangaroobie Riley!
"See," said Kangaroobie Riley, "you have had me, that is clear!
But I never mind a joke," he added, dryly.
"Just you work it on O'Gorman, and I'll shout another beer."
"I'd be happy to oblige yer," said McGinnis with a leer,
"But the fact about the matter is - O'Gorman sent me here! -
So, good morning, Mr Kangaroobie Riley!"

Man And Bottle
Just an empty brandy bottle by the door
An empty bottle standing on the floor
Last week 'twas worth a carpenter's day's pay
But now it isn't worth taking away.
Last week 'twas full of brandy to the top
But in it now there's not a single drop
Just like a candy box without the candy
What value a brandy bottle without brandy?
The man who drank the brandy he is dead
Like all dead men a pine box is his bed
He rests in peace where all dead people lay
Six foot under graveyard earth and clay.
He drank the brandy and then drove his car
But alas the poor man did not travel far
His car left the road and crashed against a tree
And with his life he paid for gluttony.
Next time you're in a bar and have to drive a car, do think
Hard liquor is a thing you ought not drink
Spare a thought for the poor man who drank the brandy
And ask the publican for a beer shandy.

Let others drink
Let others drink beer, wine, brandy
and whiskey
and I will pour a glass of cool drink
and disappear when they are drunk.
Hangovers and retching
and cars that collide
and thoughtlessness,
may later come to regrets.
White, yellow, crimson and any colour wine
can perhaps let reality fade away
for a time,
but being sober, in control
is much better than any pain.

Physical
I wanna take you baby
I wanna take you out
I wanna wine and dine you
Oh I wanna twist and twist and shout
I want you hot in my arms
So soft on my bed
You get the key to my heart
Oh when you wear that sweet dress
But youre too physical physical to me
Youre just too physical physical no to me
I want your rough house baby
I want this right in your ear
You let me feel your danger
I let you make this feeling clear here
I want the touch of your charms
The heat of your breath
I wanna say all those things
That would be better unsaid
No
But youre too physical physical to me
Youre just too physical oh
Youre too physical for me
Youre too physical to me
Youre really jus- just too- just
Too really f**k no
Youre just too physical
Youre just too physical
Too f**king physical
No no no no no no no
Oh youre too physical
Just too physical
Just too

You are my opium
Is it a mystery to love you so,
Is it a myth that i cant forget you,
Is it a joke that i cry at times,
Is it a spell that im addicted
I search answers but reach none,
I search thought and reach some,
Its true, you are my opium
Did i forget to say bye,
Did i just shed a tear,
Did i just walk away,
Manhood and bravity,
Just to prove im a gentleman
Kiss me again and again
Just to prove you are my opium
I tell you i love you,
Just to prove im a gentleman,
You tell me i can go far,
Just to prove you are my opium
I tell you im sorry,
But you tell me otherwise
Just to prove you are my opium
Where are the stars,
Where is my old life,
You made me new,
You shuffled my life,
Just to prove you are my opium

Even papists could not see that a moral evil was detained in the soul through its physical connection with the body; and that it required the dissolution of this physical connection before the moral contagion could be removed.

A poppycocktail from the Taliban
And soon defeat the Taliban?
An opium dream! Why, no-one can!
It's all world trade: their export crop is
in high demand - it's opium poppies,
passed via equivocal Pakistan,
who somehow fail to impose a ban
on this corruption, which is wider
than any doings of Al Quaeda:
the most effective tool, the best,
for the moral self-destruction of the West.

Those who profess to favor freedom, yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without planting up the ground. They want rain without thunder or lightening. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. The struggle may not be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did, and it never will.

Tobacco
The Indian weed, withered quite,
Green at noon, cut down at night,
Shows thy decay; all flesh is hay,
Thus thinke, then drinke tobacco.
The pipe that is so lily-white,
Shows thee to be a mortal wight;
And even such, gone with a touch,
Thus thinke, then drinke tobacco.
And when the smoke ascends on high,
Thinke thou beholdest the vanity
Of worldly stuffe, gone with a puffe,
Thus thinke, then drinke tobacco.
And when the pipe grows foul within,
Think on thy soule defil'd with sin,
And then the fire it doth require.
Thus thinke, then drinke tobacco.
The ashes that are left behind,
May serve to put thee still in mind,
That unto dust return thou must.
Thus thinke, then drinke tobacco.

Pressure
Pressure pressure I got pressure, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Pressure pressure I got pressure, oh yeah
I dont really want to give it to you
cos its really contagious
You can pick it up anywhere
And it can be quite dangerous
You can spread it mouth to mouth
You can even get it when youre alone
But I can always live with it
Whenever I am close to you
Pressure pressure I got pressure, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Pressure pressure I got pressure
I get it driving in my motor car
I get it when Im drinking in a bar
I get it riding on the subway
I get it regular every day
And anyone who never had it yet
And doesnt know what Im going through
But I forget the pressure
When I am close to you
Altogether now-oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Pressure pressure I got pressure oh yeah. oh yeah. oh yeah
Pressure pressure feel the pressure
You got the pressure and thats a fact
I can tell by the way you act
And I can tell that youre pressurised
By the look thats in your eyes
I know the pressure cos Ive got it too
So I know what youre going through
But I forget the pressure
Whenever I am close to you

Can Beer
Beer is fermented in the exact same way as wine,
But love your can beer and i will love my wine;
Because, only the wine can be used at Yahshua's Memorial.

Were I Man Grown
Were I man grown, I'd stand
With clean heart, soul, and hand,
An honor to this land.
I would be good and true.
I would not
smoke
and
chew
As many grown men do.
Tobacco is foul stuff.
Hogs
root it from the trough,
And serve it right enough.
I wish I'd every seed
And plant of that bad weed,
I'd make a fire indeed!
And these two lips of mine
Should never
taste of wine
,
Though it might glow and shine.
No wine, no beer, no gin,
No ale, no rum-within
Each drink lurk shame and sin.
And I'd not swear. Ah! when
We boys grow into men,
You'll see true manhood then.
For we shall be and do
Just what I've said; and you
Had better try it, too.

Wine upon beer is very good cheer; beer upon wine consider with fear.
Platitudinous Pleasures
I am not attached to platitudinous remarks.
As I reflect on particular abilities!
Really I am not.
Not on this journey I have embarked.
Do you honestly believe an ego is attached to this?
That some trite comments would give me a lift?
Do you realize how long this inside me has existed?
If you only knew...
More of a communication could have been pursued.
I have been on the pursuit of understanding...
For quite a few years.
Expressing these thoughts,
Is a gift to me God has chosen to give.
Inside of me still lives...
A craving to see others be and live as free!
I find that they are not.
No...
Especially after a glass or two of beer,
And/or wine...
With a shot of pepperment schnapps!
And perhaps...
A wee bit of blackberry brandy.
To give thoughts like these a start!
You see...
That's when a 'clarity' comes to visit me!
It seems only 'we' who know what this means...
Are connected to express,
A certain 'clearness' found to inspect.
Only to have those explain it as a creative process.
But not as a depthness coming from a heart,
That others feel free to critique...
And rip apart.
But not choosing to see or believe,
A bleeding of sorts is being done...
By those who neither find it a thrill or fun,
To have their guts poured to be ignored.
And evaluated as a tripping ego,
Wishing to be adored!
This is not that kind of discipline...
To have exposed on the surface,
Without 'something' being connected from deep within!
Who in their right minds,
Would spend their entire lives 'trying' to be defined.
If they did not already have definition?
That is not the journey...
Or the mission!
Or the condition of purpose meant.
Like the sipping of schnapps that are peppermint.
With a twist of lemon and maybe lime to add scent.
And losing an effectiveness earlier sent.
Now...
If that was known,
None of this would be necessary!
Or revealed as a gift...
Given to achieve 'something' believed.
Would it?
No need to respond.
I can handle this!
Could it be...
Just for useless platitudinous pleasures to receive?
And an overglorified ambition,
To mentally tease readers?
I think not!
Anyone who can make some kind of mind attachment...
To this rambling inebriated nonsense,
In which I am in no condition to repeat...
Is welcomed to the last of my brandy.
Sharing is one of my greatest talents.
And for that,
I seek no applause!

Pressure Point
I can't get this pressure point out of my head
I can't get this pressure point out of my head
I feel it in work, you know, I feel it in bed
I can't get this pressure point out of my head
I've paid all my bills and I've acted so well
Ain't been cheating, there's nothing to tell
So why all this pressure, I dont understand
I call on my neighbours, and lend them a hand
Doctor, oh doctor, I'm willing to learn
Well all of my bones, well they toss and they turn
Mother, oh mother, I'm begging you please
To rid me of madness and cure this disease
... (?) told you what I have become
With all of this pressure, my mind's on a run
... (?) changing, let's hope for the best
Maybe it's something to get off my chest
Doctor, oh doctor, I'm begging you please
To rid me of madness and cure this disease
Mother, oh mother, I'm willing to learn
Well all of my bones, well they toss and they turn
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
I can't get this pressure point out of my head
I can't get this pressure point out of my head
I feel it in work, you know, I feel it in bed
I can't get this pressure point out of my head
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
Pressure pressure pressure pressure...
