Just this week, my husband proposed a plan for schools and libraries to develop their own plans to keep children from finding indecent material on the Internet as an alternative to a Congressional proposal that would require a federally mandated solution.

This legislation gives parents some comfort that their children won't fall prey to child predators while using the Internet at schools and libraries that receive federal dollars for Internet services.

Internet safety begins at home and that is why my legislation would require the Federal Trade Commission to design and publish a unique website to serve as a clearinghouse and resource for parents, teachers and children for information on the dangers of surfing the Internet.

No More That Luxury
At one time schools were open plan
anyone and everyone could just walk in.
There were no locked gate
and high perimeter fencing.
No more that luxury can we afford.
There is always suspicion
of those waiting to come in.
Schools now have high fences
with sharp points on the end.
They have become more like prisons
to keep our children in.
Gone are the days
of a carefree atmosphere.
Now there are security cameras
around everywhere.
These are all needed
for the children in their care
to keep them separated
from the predators that linger out there.

There are very important and practical issues raised by following this alternative route which says, let's look to material conditions, to the systems of production, to the needs that human beings have, and to competing alternative solutions to the satisfaction of those needs.

Anticipating Not
They move ahead with certainty, what they plan will come to be,
Making plans with an expectation, waiting with sure anticipation,
That the plans which they sow, just like a tree, shall surely grow,
But, without Christ, for sure, the plans they make will not endure.
Nations also make their plans too, with expectations, this is true,
However, the plans they long to see, are not sown with certainty,
Because the Decrees of The Lord, by many nations, go ignored,
So those darker plans of men, God Himself will surely condemn.
Many a people and nations too, plot out a plan that they pursue,
As they pursue their every desire, of other men they may inquire,
Never looking into God’s Ways, for they seek only man’s praise,
In man’s ways they put their trust, in beings who return unto dust.
Many plans which we see today, are put in place by men of clay,
Their plans fail before they begin, for they are inundated with sin,
And these men are like the grass, promoting ways that won’t last,
The dark plans that they create, The Righteous Lord will frustrate.
Man made plans oppose The Lord, and their ways aren’t ignored,
By a Sovereign Righteous God, reigning over all this earthly sod,
In the plans many contemplate, Judgment they do not anticipate,
So plans are ended by the Lord, as Judgment by God is poured.
The Lord’s Spirit will not contend, with man’s evil ways in the end,
Man’s foolishness, in God’s eyes, is thought by many to be wise,
Man’s godless ways and thought, will bring man’s plan to naught,
As the only plan that shall endure, is the Eternal plan of The Lord.

Suffer Little Children
Jesus said, 'Let the little children
come to me, and do not hinder
them, for the kingdom of heaven
belongs to such as these.'
And he said: 'I tell you the truth,
unless you change and become
like little children, you will never
enter the kingdom of heaven.”
What then does it mean
if a grown woman entreats
to her house little children
to a few gives candy sweets
just to plan torment
a three year old child
who does not understand
this women in her heart
plans these deeds from heart
that must rage at the parents
of an innocent three year old
child who cannot understand?
What then does it mean
if publicly her husband
claims this is their right
and neighbours are silent?

I really detest movies like Indecent Proposal and Pretty Woman because they send a message to women that sleeping with a rich man is the ultimate goal and really that's such a small part of it.

This Week The Trend
And this week the trend
Was to not wake up till 3pm
I picked the few conscious hours that I chose to spend
And slept away the rest of them
And this week the trend
Was to crash and burn and then return again
To practice the life that I pretend
Provides enough to get me though the weekend
So I say
Give me a solution
And watch me run with it
And then you gave
You gave me a solution
What have I done with it
Cause I was absolutely sure I had it all figured out
Way back then
And now it's this minute, this hour, this day
And this week the trend
Was to backstab every single one of my friends
And leave a voicemail message trying to make amends
All the while hoping things work out in the end
And thie week the trend
Was to borrow all the strength that you could lend
To keep my head above the water and not descend
Back to where I said I'd never go again
So I say
Give me a solution
And watch me run with it
And then you gave
You gave me a solution
What have I done with it
Cause I was absolutely sure I had it all figured out
Way back then
But after this day it's this week all over again
And I just want to get mugged at knifepoint
To get cut enough to wake me up
Cause I know that I
Don't want to die
Sitting around watching my life go by
And what we take from this is what we'll get
And we haven't quite figured it out just yet
Because all of us are all too stuck
Strapped to a chair watching our lives blow up
Stuck watching our lives blow up

He Proposed
Verse i
It was valentines day february the 14th
My baby took me to a special place
Said he had a surprise for me
He told me to close my eyes
So that I could not see and when I opened them up
He was on one knee reachin for my hand (thats when)
Chorus
He proposed to me- he proposed with a diamond ring
I started crying- he placed it on my finger and I said
Yes- he proposed to me- he proposed with a diamond
Ring I couldnt believe it I looked in his eyes and i
Said yes.
Verse ii
Ill never forget that night- it was 8:43 pm to be
Precise
He looked into my eyes and said-youve made me the
Happiest man alive. soon as I got home I called my
Mother on the phone- said you wont believe what just
Happened to me
Bridge
We will be together-this I know
We will love forever my heart told me so
If you promise to hold me tight and never let me go
Well be husband and wife
For the rest of our lives

Spirits In The Material World
There is no political solution
To our troubled evolution
Have no faith in constitution
There is no bloody revolution
We are spirits in the material world
Our so-called leaders speak
With words they try to jail you
The subjugate the meek
But its the rhetoric of failure
We are spirits in the material world
Where does the answer lie?
Living from day to day
If its something we cant buy
There must be another way
We are spirits in the material world

Thrash
Catch the beat out-o-on the street (Oh no-no!)
Another visionary slick solution
Strap on a gun, start a revolution
Another brilliant master plan
In from the street, mouth sat in a seat (No-no!)
He point the finger at the whole world out there
Beat the drum - for Mr Accusation
The hypocritical superman
Sing hallelujah o-e-o
Sing hallelujah yea-yea-yea-yea
The man got a plan, got a plan, got a plan yea
He call love
The man got a plan, got a plan, got a plan yea
He call L-O-V-E
Catch the beat out-o-on the street (Oh no-no!)
I hear political resolutions
Cast the vote - launch another scape goat
Into the bosom of the promised land
Stand and fight, kill for what is right (Oh no-no!)
Justify another execution
Try me on build another big one
And we can celebrate the final plan
Sing hallelujah o-e-o
Sing hallelujah yea-yea-yea-yea
The man got a plan, got a plan, got a plan yea
He call love

From Past to Future
Looking at the man who was to be her husband, she thought back on her old life. All the hopes and dreams she'd had, the tragedies that had been hers. Knowing she was ready for her her new life she said to the preacher, 'I do'. As she kissed him, the man who now held the title of her husband, she also kissed the past goodbye. There was a future planned for her, far better than those lost hopes and dreams she'd left behind.
-Jeremiah 29: 11 'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord ' plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans, to give you a hope and a future.'

No Not Everything In Life Does Go To Plan
No not every thing in life does go to plan
And to other women many lose their man
And we hear of marriage breakups every day
But nothing lasts for forever so they say.
Some women they have lost their men to war
And others through accident like motor car
And others through cancer or heart disease
And through many other ways as well as these.
With three Primary school going children Jane the fisherman's widowed wife
Know all about the harder side of life
Her story is as sad as sad can be
Her husband taken from her by the sea.
And though the remains of his two mates in the sunken boat were found
The frogmen searched the waters all around
Without finding the body of her Dave
He lay forever in his watery grave.
In life we have our good days and our bad
And at their marriage end some feel quite glad
And others feel as sad as sad can be
Like Jane who lost her husband to the sea.
