Law
Laws, as we read in ancient sages,

The flimsy fetter flies in sunder.

I Write About The Butterfly
'I write about the butterfly,
It is a pretty thing;
And flies about like the birds,
But it does not sing.
'First it is a little grub,
And then it is a nice yellow cocoon,
And then the butterfly
Eats its way out soon.
'They live on dew and honey,
They do not have any hive,
They do not sting like wasps, and bees, and hornets,
And to be as good as they are we should strive.

Wasp
Her slender waist resembles a wasp
And she goes on the muddy road never stops.
Unlike bees, wasps are largely carnivorous
And their species, digger wasps, sand wasps & mud wasps
But you are a kind woman and I am sure you do not have a formidable sting
Please do not hurt me as I am scared of wasps.

Perplexed flower and a rainbow winged butterfly
My Grandma always advised me; ' Hey! My sweet Lady do not believe promiscuous Hornets, Bees, Wasps and mischievous honey suckers.
They ruin your innocent life somehow.'
Yes, They tried several times to approach me and I found in their love letters lot of promises.
But I refused then and there.
A rare butterfly flies very often to my vicinity
And I have a real faith on him.
Please promise that you never betray me
And I sacrifice my whole life
If you do not fly on other flowers?

Laws, like the spider's webs, catch the flies and let the hawk go free.
A Nest of Wasps
Closing the garage door
a wasp was flying past my head
but strangely it didn’t come for me
and for the first time
I saw a nest on the door
where there were plenty more,
some more small red stinging wasps.
At first I thought that the nest
was empty and when I reach for it
six more wasps flew past my head
and I drew my hand back instead.
By careful inspection
I saw many more wasps
sitting at the back of the nest
and these pests
were sure to sting somebody
time and time again,
but why they were avoiding me
I still do not know.
I couldn’t leave the nest there
and had to get them all dead
and yet somehow I pitied it
and which I could just instead
let them be.

Autumn
When there is nothing left to say
I will brush the cobwebs from my soul,
this rusted dented old soul.
Unfurl it, let it catch the freshening breeze
-a leaf waving goodbye to its season,
gone to join its tribe on the last breath of autumn,
waiting for the ground to break its fall.

Solon used to say that speech was the image of actions... that laws were like cobwebs, --for that if any trifling or powerless thing fell into them, they held it fast while if it were something weightier, it broke through them and was off.

Give The Kid A Break
Don't know why I'm down here
Must be something I said
Or some small imperfection
In my soul or in my head
Don't know why I'm down here
Don't reserve to roast or bake
I'm fighting off slanderous allegations
Why don't you give the kid a break?
You don't think maybe we could talk this over
You're a reasonable man
Could we discuss my grave situation
I'm a miserable man
And I'm in the frying pan
Give the kid a break
Give me one good reason why I should
All right, all right, so I made a few mistakes
But for heaven's sake
Watch your language, Kid.
OK, OK, don't get hot
Don't question my judgement
He only reaped what he sowed
He cast his pearls before swine
And that's good enough for me
I don't want to talk it over
Even tho' I'm a reasonable man
Sonny, from over here
Looks like you're in no position to bargain
You're a convicted man
You're right in the frying pan
Give the kid a break
Please give me a break
Give the kid a break
Nah nah, I don't think so, man
Come on, you know I got what it takes
Can't you give me a break?
Sure thing kid, when hell freezes over
Ok, don't give the kid a break
Hey you guys, I thought you were on my side
No they don't
Give the kid a break
Yeah, well thanks a lot, pals
Listen boss, maybe we can make a little deal
Isn't there anything I can say
Or some kind of fine I can pay
Something
Don't know why I'm down here
Must be something I said (I'm sorry)
Or some small imperfection
In my soul or in my head
It might be some infection
It might be a small imperfection or a clear case of misdirection
It must be a small imperfection
In my soul or in my head
Give the kid a break

Break free
Will I break free from my past?
Or will I let the chains tie me down?
For I have been confided in a small room for hours trying to break free from this obstacle.
My mind is stuck, but my heart is trying to break free.
The bars are too small and I cannot break through to the other side.
For the other side is where I want to be.
Where I can be free from my past and not be weighed down by negativity.
But now I realize I can slowly break free by saying this statement: I am beautiful just the way I am and don't need to change for anyone.

Sonnet: Laws Are For All
No one on earth can be above the law;
But laws are not the same for man world-o’er;
When lawmakers break laws, it causes awe;
Yet, criminals must get jud’cial cover.
But laws, vary from time to time you see,
And innocents to gallows could sent;
Can all afford the exorbitant fees?
Delaying justice can produced a dent.
But corruption has gained mighty in-roads;
And not a field is spared from its illness;
The world is filled by spineless man like toads;
Cities and towns too look like wilderness.
No soul on earth can be above the law;
And yet, men make the laws sometimes so raw.

I feel the pressure, now dont you know?
Catch me, cause Im falling deep down below

You play it yourself, taught yourself a lesson
Out of your mind you feel like stressing
Searching for answers, you keep on guessing
You messed it up, youre living low
How far youll go, man I dont know
Come out the dark, Ill bring you in the light
And leave your problems all behind
A: here I go

Here I go again
A: here I go
R: catch me, cause Im falling deep down below!
A: oh, I cant escape, Im trapped there is no safe place to go
And I do regret the things I did, but how on earth could I know?
Here I go!
Here I go catch me Im falling deep

Small Gods
one day sunshine will touch my shivering soul
and the frost around my exixtence will melt away
one day i would be able to shun away the cobwebs
and feel the bright light of knowledge wash over me
then would be the day when unjustice wont disappoint me
and unfair treatment would not leave me in despair
the warmth of sunshine wisdom will break away the ice
and the coldness of hurt wont tear me from inside
someday, when my god will stand tall over them and rise,
these small gods around me would be running for life...

White Noise
All the people that you know, they say youre ready to break down
All the people that you know, they say youre ready to fall
I hope you know that you are better than you think you are
I hope you know you that you will never really try
I hope you know you that you are never unknown
You got a good friend on the inside
Whoa-oh
I just want to be there when you need to find your feet on the solid ground
Whoa-oh
I just want to catch you when you fall down
(when you fall down)
All the people that you know say you live in white noise
Yeah, all the people that you know they say youre living in hell
They dont know anything
I hope that you know that you are better than they say you are
I have to say that you are stronger than you know
I have to say that you are smart enough to handle any stunt anyone could pull
Whoa-oh
I just want to be there when you need to find your feet on the solid ground
Whoa-oh
I just want to catch you when you fall down
Catch you when you fall down
Catch you when you fall down
Catch you when you fall down
I want to catch you when you fall down
When you fall down
All the people that you know, say youre ready to break down
All the people that you know, say youre ready to fall
I have to say that you are better than they think you are
Have to say that you are better than them all
Have to tell you that you never need the answer
When you need someone to call
Whoa-oh
I just want to be there when you need a hand to help you turn it all around
Whoa-oh
I just need to be there when you need to come down
Woah-oh
I just want to be there when you need to find your feet on the solid ground
Whoa-oh
I just want to catch you when you fall down
Catch you when you fall down
Catch you when you fall down
I want to catch you when you fall down

Sonnet 143: Lo, as a careful huswife runs to catch
Lo, as a careful huswife runs to catch
One of her feathered creatures broke away,
Sets down her babe and makes all swift dispatch
In pursuit of the thing she would have stay,
Whilst her neglected child holds her in chase,
Cries to catch her whose busy care is bent
To follow that which flies before her face,
Not prizing her poor infant's discontent:
So runn'st thou after that which flies from thee,
Whilst I, thy babe, chase thee afar behind;
But if thou catch thy hope turn back to me,
And play the mother's part: kiss me, be kind.
So will I pray that thou mayst have thy Will,
If thou turn back and my loud crying still.

The Wolf And Shepherds. A Fable
Laws, as we read in ancient sages,
Have been like cobwebs in all ages:
Cobwebs for little flies are spread,
And laws for little folks are made;
But if an insect of renown,
Hornet or beetle, wasp or drone,
Be caught in quest of sport or plunder,
The flimsy fetter flies in sunder.
Your simile perhaps may please one
With whom wit holds the place of reason:
But can you prove that this in fact is
Agreeable to life and practice?
Then hear, what in his simple way
Old Æsop told me t' other day.
In days of yore, but (which is very odd)
Our author mentions not the period,
We mortal men, less given to speeches,
Allow'd the beasts sometimes to teach us.
But now we all are prattlers grown,
And suffer no voice but our own;
With us no beast has leave to speak,
Although his honest heart should break.
'Tis true, your asses and your apes,
And other brutes in human shapes,
And that thing made of sound and show,
Which mortals have misnamed a beau,
(But in the language of the sky
Is call'd a two-legg'd butterfly),
Will make your very heartstrings ache
With loud and everlasting clack,
And beat your auditory drum,
Till you grow deaf, or they grow dumb.
But to our story we return:
'Twas early on a Summer morn,
A Wolf forsook the mountain den,
And issued hungry on the plain.
Full many a stream and lawn he past
And reach'd a winding vale at last;
Where from a hollow rock he spied
The shepherds drest in flowery pride.
Garlands were strew'd, and all was gay,
To celebrate a holiday.
The merry tabor's gamesome sound
Provoked the sprightly dance around.
Hard by a rural board was rear'd,
On which in fair array appear'd
The peach, the apple, and the raisin,
And all the fruitage of the season.
But, more distinguish'd than the rest,
Was seen a wether ready drest,
That smoking, recent from the flame,
Diffused a stomach-rousing steam.
Our Wolf could not endure the sight,
Courageous grew his appetite:
His entrails groan'd with tenfold pain,
He lick'd his lips, and lick'd again:
At last, with lightning in his eyes,
He bounces forth, and fiercely cries:
'Shepherds, I am not given to scolding,
But now my spleen I cannot hold in.
By Jove, such scandalous oppression
Would put an elephant in passion.
You, who your flocks (as you pretend)
By wholesome laws from harm defend,
Which make it death for any beast,
How much soe'er by hunger press'd,
To seize a sheep by force or stealth,
For sheep have right to life and health;
Can you commit, uncheck'd by shame,
What in a beast so much you blame?
What is a law, if those who make it
Become the forwardest to break it?
The case is plain: you would reserve
All to yourselves, while others starve.
Such laws from base self-interest spring,
Not from the reason of the thing—'
He was proceeding, when a swain
Burst out,—'And dares a wolf arraign
His betters, and condemn their measures,
And contradict their wills and pleasures?
We have establish'd laws, 'tis true,
But laws are made for such as you.
Know, sirrah, in its very nature
A law can't reach the legislature.
For laws, without a sanction join'd,
As all men know, can never bind;
But sanctions reach not us the makers,
For who dares punish us, though breakers?
'Tis therefore plain, beyond denial,
That laws were ne'er design'd to tie all;
But those, whom sanctions reach alone:
We stand accountable to none.
Besides, 'tis evident, that, seeing
Laws from the great derive their being,
They as in duty bound should love
The great, in whom they live and move,
And humbly yield to their desires:
'Tis just what gratitude requires.
What suckling, dandled on the lap,
Would tear away its mother's pap?
But hold—Why deign I to dispute
With such a scoundrel of a brute?
Logic is lost upon a knave,
Let action prove the law our slave.'
An angry nod his will declared
To his gruff yeoman of the guard;
The full-fed mongrels, train'd to ravage,
Fly to devour the shaggy savage.
The beast had now no time to lose
In chopping logic with his foes;
'This argument,' quoth he, 'has force,
And swiftness is my sole resource.'
He said, and left the swains their prey,
And to the mountains scour'd away.
